[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
"As much as I would like to raid the library for information if it's down here, we don't have time to search the entire place for a single book (or multiple ones) detailing the long history of Genesect in Creshire.  And if we take anything relating to Genesect with us, that will immediately tip them off that we know more than we should about the mythical pokemon.  Let's just get out of here, and if we happen to learn a little bit more about just what their goals are while doing so, great.  Take out the electronics in this room if you must, but do so quickly and as quietly as you can."

Bzzt! Bzzt! Bzzt! The two rodents working together manage to fry all the electronics. None of them are so tanky that they can't be taken out quickly and quietly.

With your two tea lights, you start to head down the other hallway. Before you get far, the psychics warn you that there are Pokemon ahead.

Lucifer and Gastly do not detect anything, except that Lucifer can definitely hear whatever Pokemon the psychics are sensing.

"Must be one of those traps that springs wild pokemon on unsuspecting intruders.  How are we going to deal with that?"

Once the electronics where thoroughly ruined by a judicious application of electricity (Courticy of Minun!), they all lefted and locked the laboratory behind them, before departing for the other section of the Scimitar base. When the Psychic Pokémon warn them of another threat(s), this time it  being unknown Pokémon, he waved Lucifer and Ghastly and asked each of them:

Lucifer: "How many Pokémon do you hear, and do you hear what sounds like human footsteps or movements near said Pokémon? More over, does that Pokémon sound like a large creature, or a small one?"

Ghastly: "Do you think we can get close enough to the Pokémon(s) without alerting them to our precesence, or will it detect us quickly if we get any closer than we already are? Is it possible for you to use Hypnosis on them before they could react?"

Luficer hears a lot of Pokemon, higher than he can count! But they sound small.

Gastly cannot see the Pokemon.

No Pokemon detect any humans.

(Oh, I'm late... Sorry for that! Well then the following is a Flashback.)

While Shiva...pretty much disliked his words and the matter-of-fact-tone he spoke, he was actually not wrong on this. There was no point in actively searching for a library down here - one that they even weren't sure about whether it eisted in the Base - but if they stumble by accident over it, it was still worth a visit, definitely. Taking notes of books would take way too long, so taking them with themselves would certainly be the easiest solution, but if the Scimitars would realize what kinds of books are missing... Well, better not think about that just now. Rather concentrate on what has to be done now.

She gave him a weird unreadable stare from the side, which was totally visible due to the light coming from/inside the lab, before calling out Minun in the well known flash of light. Electric rodent was full of energy and expressed an eager to help by looking up and chirping a greeting to her Master. It felt good to be outside the PC again! However, what was this strange surrounding Master brought she here? Full of weird things that humans would call technology and lab stuff...

She spoke to Nathan in a normal tone, serious and uncommonly neutral, the calmness in it was absent. "Fine, then me and Minun will quickly sweep the lab room and send a Thunder Wave into every outlet we find. You could have helped me on this with Grid, but nevermind that." She then turned to Ventus and handed him Kyuu. "Here, you please take care of him for a moment. As soon as I send in the first Thunder Wave, the lights will likely go out in this room, but I should be able to find my way with this stove." There was it again, that softness in her voice! "As soon as I'm back, you close and lock the door and we can move our way back to where we came from. Alright?"

With that settled, she explained the situation to Minun as well, and makde haste to put the plan into action! Porygon2 didn't mentoned any of the electronic devices here as an alarming system, so chances are that they'll accidently raise an alarm are rather low to zero. Well, in theory and hopefully...

Whoahw... They've been down the base for a relative while yet, and that was actually the first 'trap' they encountered. Well, very fortunate for them so far... Or not, depending on the viewpoint.

In such moments, their own Pokemon were irreplaceable. "Lots of small Pokemon... Rattata? They CAN be rather nasty and loud enough to alert people... We could try to lure and distract them with enough food and make a quick pass-by while they are busy, I doubt that outright battling them would be a good idea. Unless there is no other way, that is."

Nodding his head at little drake's report, Ventus patted his head in slight affection, before he turned towards the rest of the group and looked rather concerned in the dim lighting. "Lucifer has detected multiple hostile Pokémon ahead, but says that they are all on the smaller end of the size spectrum. Based on this information, I suggest the we get Joltik, Minun, and Plusle out to deal with the swarm, as they all have Spread Attacks that can take out multiple Pokémon, and that the mice Pokémon would benefit from both being on the field. I have a Numal that knows Magnitidue myself, but I rather not use that now, as it could cause the whole base to collapse in on itself....Is that an acceptable plan of action?"

Hearing Shiva's own plan of action, he quickly shook his head side to side. "I doubt that distracting them would reduce the racket they make upon discovery our existence here. Taking them out quickly and efficiently also reduces the threat they pose to zero, while trying to bribe them could backfire on us. After all, all the times I tried to use food to pressuade Pokémon to join me have....not ended in my favor, especially concerning my former Pokémon Uriel (Scyther)."

"So, you mean we shall battle the swarm, Ven...? It seems unavoidable to me, so I'm fine with that plan - welll, actually not, but anyway. Only Plusle has Swift as a Field move though, but Minun can surely paralyze any opponents or diminsh the threath by Charm or hit first with Quick Attack. Kyuu is not yet able to use Disarming Voice, sadly. But...doesn't Raphael know Magical Leaf? I know Togetic learn this move, the attack should hit even in this faint lighting I assume?"

"Oh, and thank you for not using Magnitude... It might bury us alive." At that point, Shiva not only called out both her rodents again for a foreseen battle, but also ooked up to the ceiling of the corridor they were currently in - looked like wet cincerblocks or stone. Actually it should be rather stable, but better not try it out, alright?"

At his last sentance concerning perssuading Pokemon with food, Shiva coult not help but to chuckle slightly over it. "Funny thing... In the end, all Pokemon I tried to accquire joined me in the end. I thought that YOU are the empath and experienced in practical Pokemon handling!~"

"You're forgetting another one you have, Ventus: Ariel.  I could also use Starmie if we have to."
