And no, it is not possible to encounter more than one Zubat before they have a chance to run off.

Ventus scowls at the bat tried to sneak attack him as it weakly and frantically flapped away. Shiva smacking one down like an the annoying pest it is brought a smile to his face, before the rustling of wings and the screech of the Zubat draws him attention back to the bat flock around him. "Bah, we're still surrounded by the poisonous flying rats. I'm going after one of them (Number 7 Zubat!) , and see if clipping one of their wings will scare the rest off. If anyone wants to help, it would be greatly appreciated!"

Order: Taking on Encounter number 7, Iron! Ventus want these bats to begone, the blighted bastards! Grr....I hate Zubats!

 (Sorry, I never specified. Ghastly was withdrawn and replaced with Froakie who uses bubble. By the way, can I have Froakie go after another Zubat?)

 Valder rushes of before all the zubat disappear, pinning down a random Zubat decided by instinct. "Theo, use Feint attack to corner it. lets do this quickly!"

 Feint Attack: 6dmg. Can't miss, 5acc, Razor Claw is being held.

Despite they were attacked by a swarm of blasted bats, they managed them pretty well without even suffering a singke attack from them. How fortunate and pleasant to see! Oh, and it feels absolutely wonderful to defeat a Zubat with the power of a book. She must have subliminally put a great amount of power in that hit, since she actucally just wanted to ward it off and not directly faint it... Anyway, no way she'd let the bats win just because they're partial Poison Type. They were many, but they were only strong as a swarm.

Just as Shiva was about to pack her weapon book away and pick both of her rodents up and thank them for their effort, one of these Zubats sweeped over he head, grazing her hair and likely messing it up more than it already is 24/7. OF COURSE this got her attention. But before she was able to get a closer look at it and whether it was surrounded by those well-known sparks, it has already disappeared into the darkness out of eyesight... However, luckily her rodents were already darting after it, eager to electrify another bat (did they see this as some sort of fun game?), so all Shiva had to do was following after them.

"There are more bats! My rodents are running after one, I'll follow them and bring it down before it can alert one of the Scimitars or more bats! Be right back... Well, hopefully!" This was actually not the place nor the time to go shinyhunting, but she was already in it... Plus, Zubats don't exist in Unova. They have Woobat to fill that niche. Wouldn't hurt to catch one of these Zubat for the rarity-factor and as a reminder on their advenure here, would it...?

Ventus corners a Zubat (#7). Wow, this one is really tiny - just a baby, barely old enough to fly!

Kirlia tracks down a Zubat psychically (#3). This one appears perfectly normal, but who knows what talents it might have?
If Grid separates from Nathan to hunt down a Zubat, he will probably succeed, but Nathan won't give any orders so it will happen offscreen.

Shiva pursues her rodents as they pursue a Zubat (#5). Boy, that Zubat sure is surprisingly fast! It doesn't look shiny though.

Nathan sends out Swiftfire to assist Kirlia when Grid splits off!  "Kirlia, Confusion.  Swiftfire, Flame Charge twice.  Take it down so I can catch it without too much of a fuss."  (He'll use his normal Pokeball first and use Great Balls if that breaks)

Suprise-Zubat Round 1


My, it took a suprisingly long to catch up on that Zubat. Was it normal that they are that fast...? As she finally did though, she realized that their prey is regular blue-purple in color. Ah, so long for shinyhunt... Nevermind, Shiva was pretty sure there will be more bats to come and with them a new chance to get a glimpse on what she was pretty sure she saw.

"Alright... We got the prey down, and I see you're fired up to pounce on it. So, how about a Quick attack combined with a Nuzzle? End it fast, please, we need to get back to the others!"


Accuracy Roll Quick Attack: 3 Dexterity + 2 Fight + 0 Brawl = 5 D6
Damage Roll: 4*Strength + 2 Power of move = 6 D6
Additional notes: +1 Priority.

Accuracy Roll Nuzzle: 3 Dexterity + 2 Fight + 2 Allure = 7 D6
Damage Roll: 4*Strength + 1 Power of move + 1 STAB = 6 D6 + 1 autodamage due to SE
Additional notes: Also inflicts Paralysis, but I fear Zubat won't survive long enough to see that.

Additional notes: I assue that +2 in the Initiate Roll is a plus in either Dext or Survival... While this is quite nice, I don't think I'll catch this particular Zubat. I also picked up that Zubat I fainted with book was the vanguard...? Neat.
