Oh dear...everything's shaping up to be a disaster within the group of some kind, isn't it?

When isn't it, mate? That is half the fun of the game: successfully navigating sticky and/or deleterious situations, or outlasting/outrunning if that fails! The other half is the trainer/gym battles, interacting with our Pokémon/other character, exploring the world etc..

Never never tell Shiva a single word, not even a slight hint to destroying that den. Her reaction...well, it won't be pretty at all.

Yes, that would likely be enough to trigger a vile witch in her.

Nathan would probably also be rather ticked off if and when he finds out.  It's a pretty clear disrespect of the pokemon habitat, and a decision also entirely fueled by emotion with very little hint of any sort of logic.

I also don't see why this is any different to Ventus than the natural magic of a Pokemon like Gothorita, whose services he gladly used.

Because its in character for him to do so, rather than to completely ignore a location. The mystical location both heavily reminds him of the flower field that got his own mother kidnapped AND he's worried about other people/Pokémon (Such as Shiva and Braxien) either falling bewitched by its power, or using it for their own nefarious ends.

Remember, the only reason that Ven hasn't been fighting over the deyos is because he reached a compromise with Nathan as to what to their final fate, and he's far from happy or pleased from being strong armed and guilted/logiced into it. He still accepts it in the end, but if given the go to start torching all those crystalline flower by the group, he would began to do so with a GUSTO.

If Shiva won't find out, Nathan would even less since he doesn't even know of the spot in greater detail (she never really told him), and I am sure that Ventus is smart enough to not tell anyone.

I wonder whether Braixen would sense any danger to the lair, but even if he would it'd be too late since Shiva withdrew him along the way. ._.

He considers Pokémon based magic to be either the far lesser evil to human magic/arcane ritual/dark mystical techniques , or ultimately benign/useful in their particular niche. Fortune telling doesn't bother Ven at all, since it gives him knowledge of FUTURE events, so he'll gladly use their services despite his discomfort. Also, he is still very much wary of magical abilities/traits expressed in Pokémon (Particularly Fairy and Ghost types, for obvioius reasons), but is also much more willing to forgive or accept them. Its a double standard that he has, but I never said he was particularly fair or entirely logical in his hatred and discrimination towards magic!
