And if there was a Fennekin in the forest that even came with me, I like to believe there are more Fire Types in the forest. They just don't show themeselves to people~"
"A wild Skuntank is one thing. An organized group of powerful trainers is another. If he gets caught alone out there by a sufficient number of them, they're going to overwhelm him. And yes, this forest is home to fire types as well as bugs, but Eevee are rare enough as it is, let alone wild Eevee that have been exposed to Fire Stones. Stone evolutions are near impossible to find in the wild, no matter what region you're in."
Nathan opens his pokedex and opens the 'seen' entry on Eevee (Glaceon and Vaporeon are also registered as 'seen').
Location: Liverwort Town
"And there's also no recorded instances of Eevee being found in Fireweed either. If I found a Flareon there, I'd be wondering how it got there in the first place."

(If the hunger wins, he'll receive one package of that Gourmet Food I actually bought for Azurill. Hope he enjoys! Nevermind, he deserves one too, and I can always by more.)

Abra eats some Gourmet Food (who could turn that down?) and gets some rest.

(Apsis has a Perssium Berry on her, so she'll eat that to cure her Confusion before she attack!
Ventus instantly draws out his Super Potion and applies it to Apsis, restoring 6 point of HP, bring her back to 10/14 HP , - 1 Pain!, before his eyes are drawn to the fae pitbull attempting to flee the area. 'Hmm....that is one of the Pokémon that wise woman said I would face in the future, if I remember correctly. Its a rare and powerful breed, and Shiva would enjoy having another powerful Fairy type on her team. Very well, its time to end its flight prematurely...' the researcher thought, before he called out orders to both his loyal(ish) family members!
"Apsis, eat your Perssium Berry to counteract the Confusion inflicted upon you, before hosing down that fleeing Granbull with Acid Spray, and make sure it hits. Also, change of plans: don't eat Granbull, Stantler, or any other of the guardens. I want to give the former as a gift to Shiva, and the later can be sold or traded for a tidy profit. With that in mind, keep up the pressure on the Hypno and Stanler with the same move; I want them debilitated and thoroughly underperforming. Haneal, focus on scorching Stanlter with Ember, and try to intercept any hits intended for Apsis, including Sleep move. We are almost thorough this, so let us finish the job."
Order: Spending a Will Point to make sure I hit Granbull with Acid Spray, then use the move two move times, first on Stantler, then on Hypno. Hanael will focus down Stantler with 3 Embers this round, and will get in the way of any move it possibly can that is intended for Apsis, specifically Hypnosis. I have one last Awakening, so it will be used on any Pokémon that is put to sleep; if both are, then it goes to Apsis by default. Come at me, dice luck!

The bodies of the three fainted Pokemon fade away, slowly, until there is nothing but a small pile of red leaves where each body lay!

Forest Defenders Round 3!
(Now that Stantler is fainted, does that mean the STR nerf is gone now? )
The magic paranoid empath was alarmed by the fainted Pokémon turning into leaves upon fainting for a moment, but he quickly regained his nerve as the unexplained magical illusions only strengthen his hatred of this mystical place, and his desire for its complete and utter destruction! "My regal snake, use Ice Fang to give that vile conjured Hypno permaneat brain freeze , and then turn you attention on that Abra and eradicate it with Acid Spray! Hanael, focus you flames on Hypno , before targeting that troublesome Abra! I don't want them using conjuring up something particularly nasty with Metronome, like Explosion or Fissure!"
Orders: Apsis will Ice Fang on Hypno, and then two Acid Sprays on Abra. Hanael will continue to intercept attacks for Apsis UNLESS they are SE for her, in which case she'll let the snake handle the attack for her (She'll use Apsis as Cover in that instance), and use Ember 3 times on Hypno. If the disturbing Psychic faints while she still has Ember uses, it will switch targets to Abra. This is getting interesting!

There are limits to how much two Pokemon can switch cover with each other. But it will work a time or two in a round.
Forest Defenders Round 3
Ice Fang
(1)(4)(3)(1) Miss
Apsis does feel less Intimidated, though, since that ability mentions only working while the afflictor is present.
Confusion
(1)(3)(4)(4)
(5) Apsis takes 2 dmg 6/15hp -2 pain.
Metronome
Power: (4)
Metronome became Body Slam! Abra's psychic power tries to pick up Haneal and slam the heavy camel back down.
(1)(3)(1)(1) Oof, he's too heavy for such a young psychic cat.
Ember
(4)(5)(1)(2) Hit
(4)(3) Hypno takes 1 dmg 2/7hp
Burn: (3)
Acid Spray
(4)(5)(5)
(1)(5) Abra takes 1 dmg 4/5hp
Ember
(4)(2)(2)
(5)(3) Hypno takes 1 dmg but does not retreat.
Burn: (1)
Acid Spray
(5)(2)
(3)(4) Abra takes 1 dmg 3/5hp -1 pain.
Ember
(5)(5)
(3)(3)
Burn: (2)
Forest Defenders Round 4
There's a small light glowing at the base of a tree, in a small hollow. Another light burns in the leaves of an autumnal canopy, illuminating it like fire. Squinting closer, Ventus sees an Illumise and a Volbeat. He's reminded of the time he sang the Noctowl City song to Shiva.
Then Hypno is lowering his head for a charge, and Abra is glowing with purple power again. The forest chirrs and chitters. These defenders are not the only ones watching.

Ventus visably cringes at the sight of the lightning bugs through the trees, the heart felt memory associated with them tugging at his hearts strings rather fiercely. The empath vividly remembers Shiva's fondness for this mystical place then, and for one brief moment a feeling of guilt and regret clouded his heart, almost causing him to forshake his plans for the place. Fortunately (or Unfortunately), he stamps down on that emotional response hard , using his Iron hard control over his feelings to tear those sensations apart and banish them to the darkness of his mind, and schooling his expression under his mask into calm stoicism.
'I will not abandon my mission to destroy this place, no matter the consequences that result from this outcome. Its is a vile, treacherous haven for deceptive magics and the unwary mind, so it must be annilated for the good of all,' Ven though, thinking about how to finish this fight for a few seconds, before he conveied his intent to his snake and camel!
"My sister, focus you poisonous temper and discharge it in one single Acid Spray onto Hypno, before positioning yourself to act as cover for your family member. Haneal, switch targets to Abra and continue spewing Embers at them, until either it falls or Apsis does. Let us finish this fight, and obliterate this fell place once and for all," he says, sweaping his arm in a dramatic and affirmative gesture! He. will. not. be. stopped!
Order: Have Apsis focus on using a Single Acid Spray per round on either Hypno (If its unfainted) or Abra (If it is), while she blocks all incoming attacks coming towards Hanael, who will use Ember 4! times per round on the psychic feline. The end is niegh; who will prevail?!

Forest Defenders Round 4
Acid Spray
(4)(6)(5)(6)(4)(5) Crit
(6)(4)(5) Hypno faints and becomes a puddle of mud.
Metronome
Power: (1) Metronome became Fell Stinger!
(4)(3)
(4) Apsis takes 1 dmg 5/15hp
Ember1
(2)(4)(3)
(6)(1) Abra takes 1 dmg 2/5hp
Burn: (2)
Ember 2
(5)(1)
(5)(4) Abra faints in a whirl of rapidfire Embers. His spirit becomes one with the tree he's perched in.
The forest does not stop its murmuring. The big tree root network making up the den seems to sag a little, or maybe that's just Ventus' paranoia.
