It worked relatively well, all things considered (To an extent, of course; Ventus always likes to leave ways out for himself if need be). He's still fairly ardent at being 'Himself' AND being the worrying, somewhat lovable , kind, caring soul that he is, but at least he made it known that he'll put with Cheshiran culture and custom most of the time, if only to avoid trouble to himself/the group/being an unreasonabl arse. That, and he's not trying to argue with Nathan about this/there topic(s) and is just accepting them as is, rather than start something or do something especially insensitive.

All their is left is to see how your character handles such a 'Ventuian Answer' from them. Hopefully well, but then again...

@Nylon, welcome back!~ *is not rumpling up Valder's hair this time* Hope you enjoyed trip. Nothing really happened while you were off... Nathan and me spend some wualitative time with their Pokemon, while Ventus was out destroying the den where Shiva found a Fennekin and summoning the wrath by the forest's Protector Pokemon (He won the fight). We're meeting up in the Center now to move on to Ginger Town then, where some Running of Pokemon shall soon take place. Oh, and here: http://pokemonuranium.co/forum/showthrea...5#pid23785

Hmmmm... So if Ven want to participate in The Running and Nathan wants to watch to make sure he and his cousin will be fine, guess Shiva will fighting an icy battle at the Gym alone. (Or does Valder sneak in to watch?) But I actually don't mind it that much, since the battle will take a little to resolve, more than one real day for sure. @Lord Windos, I'd appreciate receiving your free Hard Stone sometime before the battle, if the offer is still on the table.

I'm back, sorry for the short note, I didn't have much time. May I have a quick summarize of what's happening and what I need to reply to.

You haven't really missed much, actually.  Ventus decided that instead of returning to the Center with Shiva after that short visit to Braixen's lair, he was going to eat up an encounter slot by committing arson and destroy it unbeknownst to the rest of the group.  

Nathan and Ventus are currently in Fireweed on their way back to Wineberry to meet with Shiva and Valder at the Center.  Nathan had gone out there to fetch Ventus after he didn't come back with Shiva and remained MIA for 3 hours.  Upon finding him and learning a tiny bit of why he'd been delayed, Nathan's gave him another stern talking to about the usual topics and then some, which coincidentally lines up a little with what Ventus had actually just done.

As for what Valder's doing...well, I'd recommend just filling that one encounter slot of time with training.  Though you can do something else around Wineberry if you'd like.  Or you can just wait.  We'll be leaving Wineberry and heading back to Ginger Town soon.

Oh, and Nathan neds to tell Shiva and Valder that the Running is in 4 days as well.  There's that too.

If we get there before the Running begins or Shiva waits until after the event is over, no, that won't be the case.  4 days is plenty of time to get there as long as we don't get distracted again.

You'll get that Hard Stone soon, my love, so don't worry about that! I also look forward to seeing how you do in that Gym Battle, especially with a Rock, Fire, and a Almost Water/Almost Psychic type, so you should have a better time than at his first go!

It's fine that you don't want it to cause trouble in the group, and I agree, it shouldn't.  Something like that shouldn't have happened in the first place, but...anyways, where we disagree is how we're handling it.  I don't think Ventus should get off almost entirely scot free with just Braixen hating his guts.  There's consequences for disregard like that, and Nathan's doing his best to try and pound that into Ventus while he's in Creshire.


So since I can't reasonably have Nathan learn about the full situation (currently), coincidental relations are gonna have to do.  And I'm sure this is probably going to come back to haunt Ventus later, since the Rangers are bound to notice that destruction eventually.  And Ventus seems to have angered the Voice of Life itself or something :/

Ventus is about set in his ways as the crust is settled on the mantle of the Earth, so it will take a LOOOT of time or some serious events for him to change his preconceived notions about the world. Better be prepared for more lectures and intense discussion whenever my character has a 'MAGIC, must DESTORY!' moment in the future! If Braixen hates their guts, that just means that he can't rely on them in any situation from now on, which could have some deleterious consequence depending on various factors...up to Iron to decide how bad things get, though.

Considering how thorough Ven was in disguising himself and scouring the place with destruction, fire, and acid of any traces of life and evidence, if or when the Rangers find it, they won't have a lot to go on for an investigation. Heck, they might consider the possibility that a particularly fierce Pokémon battle occurred there, resulting in the place's destruction, and end their inquiries here. The Stranger's Voice, though...that could bite my character's rear in the ass most severely, especially since they are actively piss them off. Oy vie!
