Valder, you were foresighted enough to start a training battle with a friendly trainer in the Pokemon Center. You're both pulling your blows and not really looking to win, rather just to spar. Theo makes a sport of it, trying to "count coup" on the enemy.
Froakie is proving to be a bit of a leader, having organized most of the major plays in this sport.
All three of your Pokemon get an XP, plus Froakie gets a bonus training roll.

Theo gains 1 point of Loyalty, too.

Y'all leave Wineberry before any Scimitars or Strangers can come snooping. It is not until this point that Braixen reappears, carrying only a single fire-red leaf to explain where he went.

We're actually trying to leave Wineberry ASAP (sorry, forgot to mention that part before), so if you wanted to do that, it'd have to be either before Ventus returns or after we leave town.  I recommended training for the morning slot because it's nice and easy to quickly slot in without holding up the game, and you still get some experience out of it unlike doing nothing.

 I appologize then. thx for the loyalty and exp. I find your battles entertaining, I've made it my go-to because of the fun value, but a training session is what I really need.

I certainly want to battle the Herbalist! Can I choose one of the Pokemon as the second Encounter (not sure which one yet), or do I have to choose two Trainers?

Oh, I want to battle Fisherman Martin! I want more and more challenging battle, if only because I like to overcome the odds against me and see just how hard you can make a NPC, @Iron! Any objections?

Mixing and matching trainers and Pokemon is fine. May even be able to resolve them simultaneously.

Don't forget to make a bet with your trainer.

I'm a little sorry for Raphael. In the other hand, I can see why...

I don't like the double hit to Loyalty and Happines that happened to them, but this isn't the first time that something of this nature happen to Ven's beloved Archangel. However, this IS the first time Loyalty got hit, so that provoked an especially strong reaction out of them. Both he and I are DEAD serious on trading away Raphael for something that can deal with their trainer being occasionally brutal in both actions and morals, if it means that both him and Raphael end up happier in the long run.

On the flipside, I REALLY do not want to deal with Loyalty issues from what is suppose to be Ventus' child in all but blood and have both constantly war/hurt each other over different ideologies, so if they can't learn to accept that their master is going to be like that occasionally...then I rather not have either my character or I suffer needlessly. Its a callous, Meta gamey move, but if it benefits me, Ventus, and the rest of the party in the long run...

@Iron, what exactly do you mean by 'resolving simultaneously'? I'd enjoy bringing down that female Nidoran with Helios and Kyuu (Psychic hits Poison hard, and Helios can start on his protector-of-poison-role!), but I can't control a third Pokemon to battle the Herbalist. Maybe first resolve Nidoran (it likely won't take long), then the Herbalist?

The destruction of the den hit all of Raphael's triggers pretty hard. Other acts of violence and destruction aren't as big a deal to Raphael as this one is. Some things are just way too contrary to the nature of a Pokemon.


Phantom, They wouldn't be physically happening at the same time, just that I would roll all the dice at the same time. Might get confusing though, so I'm happy to resolve first the Nidoran and then the trainer.

I'm afraid Ven would not do that, Shiva. He would want to put as much distance between him and his child as possible, so that he does not harm them in anyway, shape , of form. That, and I rather trade away a Rare species like a Togekiss for either a Steel type or another Fairy type that would not mind him being a bit of a bastard. Sorry...

That would also involve Shiva owning more Pokemon that don't get along with Ventus, lolol
