(Picked up you missed to add STAB to Nido's Poison Sting. Nevermind~)
Shiva didn't say a thing at the sight that the Nidoran has been contained securely into a free Pokeball. She just stared at it for a little until her nerves has recovered enough to stand tup, walk over to the spot the luckily short battle took place and carefully pick up her new catch.
The feelings he had about it were very mixed. Nidoran were rare to find in Unova, only occassionally appearing in White Forest and some hidden clearings. On the other hand, it was a toxic Pokemon, it gave her a nice shock and it will hate her as soon as Shiva calls it out from the ball. True, being beaten into unconsciousness and then captured was a bad experience for ANY Pokemon, and she surely was not up to risk her Pokemon or she herself being poisoned or bitten or both. It was a female Nidoran, it won't be king once it evolved, but the strength and motherly love of the queen was nothing to be underestimated. If it'd attack her...
... No way Shiva will keep that Nidoran. She could gift it to Ven as a snack for Apsis, but then he'll likely wonder what her reasons for such an unexpected act are; and certainly question her about it in a quiet moment. Release it, and it might come after her. Trade it away though, and she might get something nice in return. Shiva didn't know the value of an ordinary Nidoran for trade/how rare they are in Chreshire, but she'll see soon enough, right? Until then, Nidoran can rest on Bill's PC.
With that issue temporarly solved, she turned around to face her Psychic Pokemon, before placinh herself down at the spot again and calling Kyuu to her. He came to her immediately, before extending his arm to Shiva and purring in slight pain. "...I see. While that attack did not poison you, it stings rather hard, does it, lil' Espurr? No worries... Stay still and the pain will be gone immediately." (Using 1 Potion to get him back to Full Health.) "Better? Fine~ Thank you for battling for me. That was quite a nice Confusion you displayed there... Keep it up, and you'll gain control over your immense psychic powers eventually. You want to have my scarf back to wear?" Kyuu didn't replied on this, and just stared at Shiva with his wide purple eyes. "...Well, he's rather cozy and I don't need him, so you can have it then." She carefully and loosely wrapped the red tartan scarf around the Espurr's neck again. Scottish pattern on Scottish Fold kitten, can't resisit.
Helios meanwhile has been dozed off, but Shiva was somewhat sure that he was going though the mechanics of Confusion in his mind, even if it was only subliminaly or nothing more than an assumption. Laying down right here on the flowerfield, she decided to stay here for a little, enjoying some calm and time among her Psychic Pokemon and the daisies growing here... until some Trainer mauled on a Ponyta would cross the place. In such moments, that Noctowl Song Ven sang her came to her mind again. Looking around a little without getting up, she didn't spotted any Illumine nearby though.

"Don't worry. Training Gyarados is in my blood. This Magikarp was actually bred, not caught, so I have been connecting with it since birth. So yeah, don't worry! Gyarados! Your strongest Ice Fang!"
Michael heals 1 from the Toxic Orb, and I forgot to give you 1hp earlier, taking him to 6/7hp. He is also Intimidated by Gyarados, but since his toughest attack only deals one dice, this won't matter much.
Gyarados hovers above the battlefield, his long shadow looming over the valiant Michael. The little shroom frowns as he stares down that wide, gaping mouth.

"Excellent job, Swiftfire. Exactly what I like to see from ya, that efficiency and speed. Kirlia, finish the job with Strikes."

WHIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Shiva tilts her head toward the source of the noise. A trail of whipping stems follows the loud, ceaseless noise, as of a constant low wind. The trail gets close, and Shiva can see that a lady covered in a random, thick assortment of flapping fabrics is the source of the noise.
She's mounted on a Ponyta, and clutching a Woobat, aiming it at the ground in front of her. The Woobat is emitting a constant happy Gust of wind from its mouth, bending flowers out of Ponyta's way. Some petals fly up and land on Shiva.
"Whoa, Equisetum! Hi, young one! I'm Xiani. I'm sorry to have disturbed you! I'm on the watch for a green-petaled flower, have you seen any? No? Yes, they're quite hard to spot against the grass and stems. That's why I have Tacca here to disturb the stems and sort of separate them out as I go. That, and to keep Equisetum from burning them as we go. I'm on my way to Ginger Town for the Running! A mounted healer who can keep up with the Runners is very useful! I see you have Pokemon...Well, since our eyes met, would you like to battle? We could make a little wager, if you like."

Wild Kecleon Round 1
Kecleon vanishes again. You can sometimes catch a glimpse of Froakie, enveloped in a nearly invisible tail, blending into the trees, then the shadows, then...
Shadow Sneak on Theo
1 Dex + 3 Fight + 5 Stealth -2 actions = 7 dice
(6)(4)(6)(4)(4)(1)(3) Crit
3 Str + 2 power + 2 crit -2 vit = 5 dice -1 SE
(5)(4)(2)(2)(4) Theo takes 2 dmg 3/5hp -1 pain.
Froakie bursts forth from the tail, foaming with anger.
Bubble
(4)(4)(1)(5)(2)(2)
-3 vit = 3 dice
(6)(6)(4) Kecleon takes 3 dmg 4/7hp
Very nice. Kecleon turns the same blue as the bubble
Kecleon's dex cannot go any lower.
Feint Attack
(4)(5)(6)(3)(5) With Razor Claw, crit!
(1)(3)(2) (4)(4) Kecleon takes 2 dmg 2/7hp and becomes Dark type
As Froakie gets away, Kecleon Binds him up again in a prehensile tail the color of shadow.
Bind
1 Dex + 3 Fight + 3 Brawl -3 actions -2 pain = 2 dice
(6)(3)
3 Str + 1 power -2 vit = 2 dice
(4)(1) Froakie takes 1 dmg and is Bound
Wild Kecleon Round 2
Kecleon noticed that razor claw! he wants it!!
Thief
(1)(2)(1)(5)(6) Phew. He takes that claw!
3 Str +2 power +1 Stab -2 vit = 4 dice, -1SE
(4)(2)(4)(5) Theo takes 2 dmg
I'll pause here 'cause I don't know if you want to catch it or not.

(should have been 4 defense and 2 damage dice for Take Down thanks to Calm Mind, but the damage would have been the same anyways, so...)
Nathan and Kirlia both let out another sigh of relief. Nathan doesn't mind Steel types too much, but he knows Kirlia is deathly afraid of them even if he doesn't show it, ever since that time a traveler came to Trillium with an Aron, only a couple weeks after Nathan had found Ralts. Ralts had been terrified of the little Steel pokemon. It'd taken two whole days to calm him down after the traveler had left...
Poison, Kirlia could handle and deal just as much damage to them as they'd do to him. Ghosts, spooky and scary, but ultimately not a problem. Steel, though...there was just something about it that Kirlia couldn't seem to shake...maybe whatever the cause was, it was another reason Kirlia wanted to evolve into Gallade? As a Fighting type, he could get a little payback on whatever Steel types have plagued him in the past pretty easily...of course, that would also come with the additional issues of facing Flying types and his own former Fairy typing...
"I think we both showed that type matchups aren't the sole factor in determining the victors. Seems to be a common theme with a lot of my battles. Kirlia, excellent job as well. It was difficult, but we got through it. Hopefully we're somewhat prepared for the Running with that practice...what do you think?"

Kirlia looks determined to be ready, and he doesn't think there's much he could have done better in that battle.
"Oh yeah, there's obviously a lot more to battles than type matchups! Trainer skill, speed of reflexes, connection between trainer and Pokemon... evolution can be a factor, though not always the biggest factor. Beldum will certainly be much stronger even as a Metang. And then there's all the extra tools available to a League official, some of which I can't talk about...but vast supplies of healing items and access to the best available held items can make a big big difference as well. All of which go into protecting the brave slash foolish trainers Running with the Pokemon!"

That helps Nathan feel a little less nervous too. Ready or not, Absol was coming, and they needed to be as prepared as possible for whatever happens when it does...
"Well, I don't know whether to call my cousin and friend brave or foolish, really...though my cousin is running for charity, so I can't fault him too much at the end of the day, I guess...speaking of my traveling companions, they're all around here somewhere...we typically split off to do various things before meeting back up and continuing on. I could actually use a little time just sitting down, to be honest...that, and I need to care for Swiftfire. This isn't the first time she's been downed rather easily by a pokemon she should have had a 'clear' advantage against. At least she didn't faint this time..."
