Just him, Kirlia, Swiftfire, and Absol. That's all Nathan's focused on. Following this horned and scarred cat to whatever it's trying to show him. Find out why it's been stalking him and his best friend for almost a year straight.
What manner of disaster warranted such a long winded warning? Nathan's afraid to find out, but he moves as fast as he possibly can to keep up with the scarred Absol...

Ventus, try as hard and doggedly as he liked to reach Nathan and fulfil his self appointed goal to assist the boy in subduing the Dark type by whatever means necessary, was unable to. The young trainer and Absol were just too far ahead for him to catch up at this point, even if he had Raphael utilize Extreme Speed and After You in order to rapidly accelerate towards their position, and by the time he DID catch up, it would be too late to do anything of value. Besides, now that he stopped for moment to catch his breath and go over his option on what to do NOW, he realized he missed one crucial, detail that he missed in his percession sight on his goal: that the Absol did not have hostile feelings towards Nate. Quite the opposite as a matter of fact, given that beast was not trying to outrun, but to lead him somewhere that the Disaster Pokémon felt was important the boy would see. At least, that was he was able to piece together in hindsight, with the meger evidence he had.
As this revelation settled upon his mind, the researcher couldn't help but look completely dumbfounded by all his expectations and carefully organized plan be rendered utterly meaningless, and even counterproductively destructive in hinsight. Ven just stood there, long enough for both Raphael and Michael (Who had ceased their own Pursuit by this point) to start to grow worried about his abrupt and dour lapse in attention, before he let out a long, long suffering sigh as he cradled his head in his hands and shook it in dismay at how Kyurem damn moronic he had and was acting.
"By Reshirim and Zekrom, how could I have erred so, SO much...? Was I too zealous in my desire to protect him from harm? Did my own fears and concerns caused me to overlook his own, and completely smother his own directive and free will? My own stubborn tendacies and worrywart nature driving me onwards to so thoroughly set me against Nate's own desires and freespirited nature? ....*Sigh* Perhaps it just because I wanted to be his savior for once, rather than just the find he barely find it within himself to tolerate from time to time. Maybe its all of that and more, but the fact is that I have done wrong by him. I'm not sure I can possibly make this up to him, after so thoroughly salting the fertile fields of our friendship with my recent actions, but I must at least try. For doing nothing and slinking away from your mishaps is infinitely worse than facing, and humbly attempting to offer reperations for your follies..." he said, more to himself than his family members hovering by and over him, before he slowly raised his head to them both and carefully regarded them both. The empath had a tired, sorrowfully, yet never the less determined look in his eyes, as he explained the new course of action to his Pokémon.
"As you may have well heard, I commited a grevious trespass against our friend Nate, and now must try to make amends for this. The best way I see that I can do that currently is rejoining the Running and trying to corral the Rampaging beast there, protecting the civilian watching from the sidelines and reducing the potential hazards for other participates. That, and catching a few more rare Pokémon and gifting them to both Shiva and Nathan might incline them to be more forgiving for my actions, unlikely as that may be. Let's get back into the thick of things, and see if we can salvage the unsalvageable, and undo what can not be undone..."
Order: Ventus has a nice Heel Realization over his recent actions, and then makes haste to rejoin the Running to protect those that actually need his help, and try to catch some more Pokémon for his friends. He's a screw up in this case, but maybe he can unscrew himself out of this situation....eventually.

Ventus hops the fence again. Unbeknownst to him, the camera zooms in on this madman COMING BACK FOR MORE!
He's a little bit winded, but still up for more Running!
(3)(3) = 6
Ventus runs into a Pokemon from his past - a Pinsir! It's clearly wild, though, because it's just racing down Main Street with no regard for anyone. This is one of the more dangerous Pokemon in the Running, because once it bites it doesn't let go. So that's a good chance for Ventus to catch a rare Pokemon or prevent some danger. But there's also some other desirable Pokemon he could wriggle his way over to...

Spirit, I don't know if the Vandals campaign has this rule, so I wanted to point it out to you: if you use multiple Potions on the same Pokemon during the same day, they become increasingly less effective.
You have 5 base dice to use on Feint Attack. So your first attack would use 5-3 = 2 dice, your second attack would use 1 dice, and your third....0 dice. So that's not an option. I'll go as if you'd used 2 attacks.
[u]Waterfall Mystic Round 2[u]
Fire Punch
(1)(6)(6)(4)(6) A solid hit
(1)(4)(4) Phantump takes 3 dmg 3/6hp -2 pain.
Feint Attack
(3) - Never Fails.
(2)(6)(6) Medicham takes 2 dmg 3/6hp -2 pain.
Uh oh, now Phantump is once again out of dice for his moves! You have two options - either spend a Will Point to ignore the pain for the entire round, spend a Will point to add a success (useless for Feint Attack), or ask me for a Luck Dice! With a Luck Dice, you have to roll a (6) to succeed. If you roll anything else, something bad happens! So that's a last chance effort.
Medicham gets one more hit though, before you have to make that choice.
Fire Punch
(2)(6)(3)(2)
(5)(2)(1) Phantump is out of the fight.

Even as weary and exhausted by both the running and his revelation, their was still enough energy within the sociologist to drive him forward onwards in this chaotic, dare devil race, as he scoped out the horde for potential threats to others and rare Pokémon to be had! The Pinsir he had run into was a very tempting target for him to take down, given the old grudge he harbor the species after his last rodeo with them, but he then spotted a Kanguskhan that almost barreled over another runner! The beast clearly held no regard for anything in its path, and the matronly Pokémon might be the perfect gift for Shiva. Giving the insect one last hard look, Ventus use a small bit of his natural agileness to make his way over to the marsupial!
Order: Spending one of my DEX points to Encounter Kanguskhan instead, Iron. Michael will use quadruple Spore to put them asleep, then start sucking their life away with Absorb (Just like he did with Tauros), while Raphael will pelt her with Triple Aura Sphere unti it goes down. Ven will then try to capture it with all the Pokeballs he has on hand (2 Pokeballs, 1 Flash). If Pinsir chooses to be a pain in the arse, Raphael will target it with triple Air Slashes until it either faints or get the idea that its presence isn't quite welcome in this town...

Initiatives:
Kanga (6)
Raphael (1)
Breloom (1)
The Kangaskhan is ENORMOUS. One of the biggest Pokemon species here! This one is almost 10 feet tall (slightly Oversized, but not much - these gals are just big critters). The baby in its pouch sleeps through all the chaos.
Fake Out on Breloom
2 Dex + 3 Fight +4 brawl -2 actions = 7 dice
(5)(1)(5)(4)(1)(4)(6) ALMOST a crit.
3 Str + 2 power + 1 STAB -4 vit = 2 dice
(4)(2) Breloom takes 2 dmg and flinches
Aura Sphere
Doesn't miss
3 Str + 3 power -2 vit = 4d6+1
(5)(4)(5)(3) Kangaskhan takes 4 dmg 6/10hp -1 pain.
Kangaskhan leaps into the air, high enough to threaten Raphael, but instead falls back to earth to deliver a massive and effective punch to Breloom.
Mega Punch on Breloom
-2 acc -1 pain -1 more action = 3 dice
(3)(2)(4)
(4)(6)(4) Breloom takes 3 dmg 3/8 -2 pain
Aura Sphere
Doesn't miss
(6)(1)(3)(6) Kanga takes 3 dmg 3/10hp
Spore
(3)(6)(2)(6)(1)(5)
I asked on the forums, and they said you can stay Asleep while you're fainted, but it cannot be applied afterward. Burn and Poison can, but they said that is the mark of a "big meanie trainer."
Aura Sphere
(4)(5)(4)(1) Kangaskhan passes out!
Toxic Orb heals 1 hp, and Absorb healed 1 as well. So he's at 5/8.
Pokeball #1
(4)(1)
8 will -5 fainted -1 Sleep = 2 dice
(4)(1)
Kangaskhan lazily breaks out, but doesn't smash the ball.
Pokeball #1
(5)(5)
(4)(4)
Pokeball #1
(5)(6)
(6)(5) Haha
Pokeball #1
(4)(3)
(6)(3) At this point, the other trainers are saying "C'mon, get on with it!" You figure they're jealous because a Kanga is quite a catch!
Pokeball #1
(3)(3)
(5)(4) Finally, Kangaskhan's Will shatters the ball. Bouffalant Bill cheers the destruction of your property.
Pokeball #2
(6)(1)
(1)(5)
Pokeball #2
(4)(1)
(1)(1) At last! Kangaskhan was caught, with the power of Apsis.
That's worth 3Xp for each party member. Ventus earns 3XP, +2 Heroism (for the entire Running).
Kangaskhan has Scrappy (obviously not Early Bird), Comet Punch, Leer, Fake Out, Bite, Dizzy Punch, and Mega Punch. 0 Happiness or Loyalty. +1HP Overgrown, just because I love Kangaskhan and want her to be even bigger.
Breloom will be at full HP now.
Onward! (8)(6) = 14 Ventus bounces off a Psyduck, leaps over a Meowth, and runs right into a Snubbull. He's getting very tired. This will have to be his last encounter.

The scarred Absol races toward Route 02, leaving the Town behind. It shudders for a moment as it leaps over the Route Gate, its expression pained, but it lands on the other side and you pursue.
It races past the Daycare pasture, not caring that it's exciting all the Pokemon inside.
3 Insight + 2 Survival + 0 Alert -2 distance modifier (5)(4)(5) Shiva hears the commotion outside and peers out a window (if she wants to). She sees first the Scarred Absol racing by just south of the Daycare, heading toward the Falls. Then she sees Nathan on Swiftfire in pursuit! They're obviously going to arrive well ahead of her, but she knows which direction they went.
@ Dragonstrike, any places in this area you want to stop?

(Nope.)
Nathan does breathe a sigh of relief when they pass the daycare, but he's quick to refocus on Absol. Whatever was going on, Shiva wasn't in its path. Swiftfire was still rather nervous about this whole thing, though...and was even starting to slow down ever so slightly...
"Come on, girl, keep going. We can't lose Absol now. I'm counting on you...more than ever before...please don't let me down now...this is why I brought you, after all...you can do this. Don't worry about what might happen. We'll deal with it, no matter what it is, okay?"
He had to trust Swiftfire would keep going. That she'd do her best. He might not be able to keep up with Absol otherwise...

Ventus was quite glad that he managed to catch that frankly HUGE mama Kangaskhan, since leaving it as an impromptu road block for the other runners/stampeding Pokémon was not the kindest or most polite thing to do. Then again, given his past actions as of late, it would have been rather fitting, in all honestly: leaving a mess that someone else has to clean up. The empath was quick to dispel such dour and self demeaning thoughts, as he couldn't afford to let his own doubts and insecurities plague him- not when he wass in constant, mind boggling danger!
Quickly retrieving the ball (And casually flipping off Bill for being a piss pour sport), the beleaguered researcher was quick to regain his former pace with the rest of the runners, but all this strenuous exercise was starting to take its toll on him. "Ha ho ha ho....I can't endure this stampede for much longer, despite my gains in stamina. Time to find one last target, and see if I can't do one last good dead this Running while I still can...!" he said to himself, as he dodged and weaved amoungst the wild Pokémon and even wilders people running along side him! During this last mad dash, he so happened to come across a Snubble, but given his (admitidly lessened) dislike for Fairy types, he quite honestly didn't want anything to do with it. He got that giant marsupial for Shiva, so their was no need for him to expend another Pokéball on a creature he was not that fond of! The researcher quickly spotted a much more appealing target: a Stantler, proudly and gracefully striding among the rest of the rabblrey! Motioning to Michael and Raphael, they all rapidly approach the hypnotic deer, each reading up for their respective jobs!
Order: Michael is going to use Spore on it four times in a row until it procs, then start raining down Stun Spore on it to REALLY make sure it is cripple. Once both status are in place, he will use Absorb like he did before. Raphael will use After You on Michael if he isn't at the top of the Initiative, before using Charm, and Aura Sphere on the deer. It will then proceed to use Aura Sphere three times per round, as it in the past. Once its properly statused and knocked out, Ventus will throw his last Pokeball (The Flash Ball) at it, until its caught or the ball breaks. If it does break, Michael will quickly pick up the Stanlty with his master's help and move it out of the way of all the Pokémon/Runners. He doesn't want anyone to get hurt, not even the stampeding beast themselves!
