It's a good cliffhanger though.  Definitely don't want such an important plot point for Nathan to be underwhelming.

Man, Ventus did well all things considered as far as the run itself is concerned...a Kangaskhan with 8 base HP instead of 7 (and a really good starting movepool), a Stantler (though it's going to be rather ornery with 0 happiness, 0 loyalty, and 2 disobedience), an Absol (which I'd be surprised if any Creshire natives want it given what it symbolizes in the Running, and how it'll be even more ornery than that Stantler. Still a little annoyed that Ventus got the 'who caught it first' slot for Absol on my pokedex tab, too...), and a Tauros (incoming moolah from Mallorn).

4 for 4, and they're all fairly decent too.

And meanwhile, Valder's fighting a Miltank while this is all going on...

Oh, and Ventus doesn't own a Pokedex, mate. He didn't need one due to his encyclopedic knowledge on almost all know species of Pokémon, so he never bought one. His camera is capable of downloading pictures from other devices, though, so that would work! Another photo for the scrapbook!

Well, he did specifically choose two Pokémon that would work extremely well in the Running (Michael near constant regeneration and status moves, and Raphael's manuverabilty with Extreme Speed and highly spammable move roster = pretty good choices for Endurance trails), and more or less knew exactly what he was doing during the entire fiasco. He is quiet experienced in matters concerning how to handle wild, orney, and disobedient Pokémon from both his work in the field and tenure as Researcher/Consuler for them, and he knows how to properly use his Strength and Vitality to full effect because of his training/regaining his former condition, afformention field research, and....other activities he conducted in his obscure past. Despite being an eccentric and often beligerant person in his doings, he's by no means incompetent when it comes to Pokémon. All those years of good/bad living were not for nothin, you know!

As for the catches, Absol and Stantler are going to be straight up traded for whatever I can arrange with Iron , while the Kangaskhan is pretty much going to either remain in Ven's possession or be given to Shiva. I'm not quite sure what I want to do with the mamma, to be completely honest, as while its fantastic overall and perfectly fits Ventus' playstyle to a T (Bulky Bruiser), I really don't have much of a place to fit it on my team. I had to replace Ariel for Hanael to get perfect/near perfect coverage, and the only Pokémon I can think of that could be slotted out that wouldn't cause too much disruption would be Abaddon, but considering that Ven promised to take care of the little guy as his own child.... I also don't want to be an Indian Giver and reign in on that deal with Phantom/Shiva, but what would be a suitable gift for her? The Stantler? Hmm...

Hm, Mallorn's $50 bounty is for the expanded Pokedex data you might get when you catch a Pokemon. So Ventus either needs to mail Mallorn a bundle of notes, or borrow a Dex from someone else. Or something like that.

No one around here wants an Absol, but if Ventus can find a way to trade it far far away, he can get value from it.

I'm still curious whether Inflitrator-Absol would rejoice over meeting another one of its kind (it shall not be doomed to a life of loneliness and combat, remember?~), but the issue is how to lure Ventus to give it to me.

Whoah there, Windos, not leaving the Center that fast, lower your pace a little. Depending on Iron's discretion, there is a good chance that Shiva might either waiting for you there or encountering you, and she will not let you go that easily plus resting takes its time. Time that we can spend with important conversation, you know!
