[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
I'm just chipping in before I have to go for a few more errands, but I'll come back in around 2 hours, I hope. @Dragonstrike, I'd appreciate if I can finish my talk with Ven first before you arrive back to us from the elusive cave, alright? No flashing forward from either you or Windos please, there are reasons for this.

Sorry, life happens, have to deal with some crucial problems of my vehicle.

Alright, noted.  This whole thing with Ventus and Shiva and Nathan, Absol and Mesprit is likely taking place in the second encounter slot, and Valder and Heart are still lagging behind just a little bit in the timeline if so, so waiting a little bit isn't too big a deal considering that along with everything else.

The main question here once Nathan does return is how he comes back...do I have him walk, or does he Teleport? Hmmm....

If you want my two cents on the matter, I say walking/him ridding back to town is the better option. It gives him time to process everything he just recently learned from exploring Merspirt Cave, lets his current emotional state simmer down a bit into something approaching 'amiable' and not overtly awestruck by the fact that he meet a Legendary of his own, and give Ventus and Shiva plenty of time to have their own conversations + finish their business in town. Having him teleport now would potentially cause problems in of itself, as while Ven is going to be understandably hesitate with interacting with Nate, he's not going to miss out on the fact that he had a revelation/moment of awe from meeting Merspirt.

I kinda want Nathan to keep that important piece of knowledge (All things concerning Merspirt) to himself, as I don't want Shiva feeling even more inferior to the rest of the main trio (She's the only one that has not meet a Legend) and give Ventus anything else to become worried/thoroughly perplexed by and/or set out his other cumbersome trait off and annoy Nathan even further (His rampant curiousity). That, and I believe that encounter is better of being private, as its a rather intense/personal moment that would lose some of its impact if it was discriminated to the rest of the party.

I'd agree with Windos here, on both actually. Teleporting is the fastest but somewhat the most boring way in this case. I just had Shiva teleport from teh Daycare to the Center because she needed to be there fast, Nathan actually doesn't, I guess? Depends on the circumstances, but he might even encounter either Heart (who is fighting near Vapor Falls, Nathan is AT Vapor Falls) or Valder (who is Running) along the way.

Shiva's inferior? The heart of the group is crucial... :C

Fair points.  And thinking about it now that I'm not a little on the tired side, there's a great number of reasons he would take his time returning to town.

He might not tell Shiva when he's coming back unless she shoots him a call or text, though.

Hopefully Heart will have gone back to town by the time Nathan's done in the cavern, since questions about why he's out there from a complete stranger would be rather...awkward at the very least.

Yeah, anything directly relating to Mesprit is likely going to be on complete lockdown for Nathan unless he has to say something about it to explain something.  He definitely still needs time to digest what he's learned, though...that might take awhile...

and Mesprit being in the southwest corner of the cavern (Mesprit is typically in the left corner of the triangles the trio tends to form when they're together).

Pretty impressed that you noticed this last-minute detail I threw in.

The Lake Trio is my favorite legendary trio (though I 100% did not intentionally design Nathan's 3 main traits to line up really well with what the trio represents.  That's completely coincidental, honestly.).  I've got a couple more ideas for what Nathan might look at in the cavern after giving it a little more thought, though his knowledge on the trio won't be nearly as extensive as what I've learned about them.

Speaking of Trio's, my favorite one is not actually Black and White's one (Though its my third fav, right beside the Creation Quartet) , but compose of all the 'third' member of the Sinnoh, Unova, and Kalos trios : Giratina, Kyurem, and Zygarde . I just like these odd and quirky dragon types, and the various roles they serve to counter balance their respective contemporary Legendary partners! I doubt all but Zygarde are going to be in Iron's campaign, though, given the later two's relative significance to their respective region's events and 'uniqueness' as well. Zygarde could very well be a part of Cheshire, though, given that their parts and pieces where found in Alola of all places, rather than Kalos, so their is precedence for it being a rather mobile Legend! Especially consider that the natural order of things in Cheshire might soon start going out of wack, for whatever reasons...

Somehow I enjoy how the others gain Will Points by being brave while my chara seems to do so by doing restful things.
... I'm still down to have Shiva pass out mid-battle again sometime, because that was cool. The aftermaths though weren't.
