Heart sights. "Anyway. Since Water its not a good idea Normal moves shall necessary. Clauncher, use Vice Grip two times!" (And Clauncher get ready to eat Citrus Berry if get much hurt)

Heh.  This Absol is FAST.  Exactly what Nathan was expecting since Swiftfire was having a hard time keeping up even when she was boosted.  This was going to be interesting..."Alright, Absol, let's keep things fair for now.  I won't KO ya so long as you don't KO or harm Kirlia, though I'm sure that goes without saying.  And you're also lucky that I don't have anything to paralyze ya or put you to sleep with, so this is going to be a nice, clean battle.  Hope ya don't mind getting a little roughed up though since you're the one who challenged us!"

"Kirlia, Plan A: Evade if Absol uses Taunt and setup a Lucky Chant, followed by Calm Mind, with a Draining Kiss at the end if you didn't evade! If Lucky Chant fails, try again instead of using Calm Mind.  Plan B: If you get Taunted, just use as many Draining Kisses as you can instead!  Stay out there as long as you can!

3 Actions, two possibilities

Plan A:
Evade once if Taunt is used, Lucky Chant, Calm Mind (Lucky Chant if the first one fails and Kirlia is untaunted), conditional Draining Kiss for the third action if Kirlia didn't evade during the first two actions

Plan B (if Taunted):
Draining Kiss for all remaining actions

And if Absol hits 1 HP, Nathan will start off by using his Ultra Ball, followed by Great Balls should that break. Also leveling Perform from 0 to 2 for 12 exp.

(I'd type out the accuracy and damage, but these are some pretty complex orders...everything has a base accuracy of 8 before multiple actions are accounted for, though, so that's at least consistent. And Draining Kiss has a base damage of 6 D6 + 1 Damage before boosts and defense are factored in)

"I couldn't tell you if it's valid in Unova. There is an International Breeders Org, so I imagine they might accept this license. Or perhaps they may make you take the abbreviated version or something. There's no legal limit on how many Eggs you can carry now, but the Eggs must all be in your direct care. This usually means no more than 6 Eggs. That way each Egg can have a Pokemon buddy, too!"

Eventually, after a brisk series of trades, some light for Shiva, and meeting with Dr. Mallorn to hand off the requested Tauros, Ventus finally made his way back to the Pokémon Center. Flipping open his phone to check the time, he almost swore when it turned out 45 or so minutes had passed, but he managed to restrain himself and settled with frowning. "Dear Reshiram, I hope going over the time limit I set hasn't upset Shiva once more, as that is the last things I want to do currently. Well, I suppose the only way to find out is to reunite with her and see for myself...." he quietly said to himself as he stood outside the Center's doors, before he entered.

To his relief and surprise, his blessed friend was not in fact fuming silently over at one of the lobby tables, but was talking to the resident Nurse Joy and receiving some items from her. Deciding not to intrude on such important business for the time being, Ventus went over to the PC to both teach Michael Façade and withdrew the rest of his team he had stored earlier, before walking over to one of the tables and awaiting Shiva. When she was done, he waved her over and motioned for her to sit beside him, before politely saying to her: "Sorry for running a bit late, but my last trade took longer than I expected. I see you found a way to keep yourself happily occupied, though, judging by what I'm detecting and from what I saw of your conversation with the Nurse. Care to share the details with this poor sociologist, Shiva?"

"Ah, thanks for looking into it. Hmm, if there is an International Org, it's...weird that only Chreshire has something like a Breeder's Lisence... Nevermind though! For now, I'm staying in Chreshire anyway." Indeed, maybe they plan to establish such a test and certificate for those interested in Breeding in general an all regions, and are coincidently beta-testing this prgramm in Chreshire? How fortunate that Shiva is able to contribute her part by serving as some sort of test object!~
So it was indeed as she expected, no more than 6 eggs at once. Just a little dissapointed by that, but it was overly comprehensible actually. "So.. That actually means that I can keep the mother and the egg together in my party to fasten the process of hatching to some degree? Awesome! Pretty sure all of this will come in handy for my further career." *packing away everything, not before staring awestruck at the REAL AND TRUE Breeder's Lisence THAT EVEN HAD HER NAME ON IT and turning it in her hand to oberve it from all sides as well as attatching mentioned sticker onto Trainer card* "Well, uhm, thanks for everything then. I'll certainly come back relaitively soon for healing since... Gym Battle...tomorrow... Bye!~"

Actually though, Shiva didn't went far away. She stopped by at the PC in the Centers Lobby, being reminded on an important yest unpleasant thing to do before Gym Battle... Staring at the screen for a little, before taking a deep breath in an attempt to be not shy away from this in the last minutes, she stepped closer to the PC, launched it and after entering her Trainer ID and OT, accessing Bill's PC....

Right, Helios successfully mastered Double Team. What was left, was teaching him that TM move she owned. THAT move that gave her shivers... But, what is the use of a TM if not using it? 'Know the enemy'...That was the attitude here... Placing Helios onto PC, she withdrew teh TM in the elusive lilac color and stared at it like it was the nastiest thing in the word, before FINALLY putting it into the PC's drive and followed the instructions on screen to teach blasted Toxic to her faithful Abra.

While the teaching progress was running, Shiva first took a look at the clock and discovered that Ventus is late, he said he'll be back in half an hour, but now 45 minutes passed since he said that... Maybe she sould not have brought Rachael into play. Second, she made a turn to the Cafeteria and on the way Ven was there at a table, waiting and smiling at her, and even waving her over as he spotted her! Oh happy day, there he was~ However, for now she gestured him that she's busy for a little and will come to him in a few minutes, and continued on her way to pick up one cup of coffee of the finest brewing (with milk and sugar seperate) and one hot chocolate (with creams, sprinkles and everything because sugar means energy, and Shiva needed energy just now). Then returning to the PC with both beverage prepared to finish the teaching progress, withdraw Helios into her party and retrieve the now used TM back into her possession.

Now finally she came back to Ventus at the table and slid over the cup of coffee to the researcher before he was able to voice his question. "I know Nathan does not enjoy coffee, but I also know that you do. Though, I have no idea whether you drink it black not, I'm going for hot chocolate now. Need the extra portion sugar in my blood."

Nipping on that, she listened to his words and apology for being late (she didn't minded it since he came back AT ALL), and at his question what delighted her... Well her smile just as sweetas the cream on the hot chocolate, before she withdrew her new Breeder's Lisence once again and slid it over for Ven to take a look at it. "THIS has been what kept me occupied while you were off. Flawless result apart from one question out of 25, I wasn't just relaxing at the Daycare while you were busy 'helping' Nathan."

"....You know", she said to him somewhat timidly, "this is actually a step int the right direction, one that brings  me further in my career to become a professonal. I bet that my father would rejoice and be proud of me when he hears about that, since it shows that his casual teachin' in this field was not wasted on me. It also wouldn't have happened without you people's support... But.. Hey... wait a moment." That's it actually! For one moment, there was that same sparkle in her eyes that emerged when encountering a special/overly rare Pokemon, and the smile on her expression spoke for itself. "Listen up, Ven... Wouldn't you... Eh, how do I say that... You know, get to know my father? Not in person, but the next time the connection to Castelia City allows me a video call, maybe instroduce yourself? You're supportive and a dear friend of mine, so I actually see why not. " Probably earning a weird or startled look from Ven. "Oh no, don't worry, I'm pretty sure he'll like you. I mean, he'd be delighted to hear about your occupation as a Sociologist, especially one that learned at our local university, while his ways to deal with all sorts of Pokemon given into his care could be interesting for you. We have some very rare species at home. Plus, I haven't gotten the chance to tell Dad how my work at the Daycare turned out."

Shiva found this idea wonderful. Wonder how Ventus' thoughts on this are...?


"Oh, and... haven't said it yet... But... I thank thee for your eager to attend my first of hopefully many Gym Battles tomorrow. Guess this will be the trial run for then, huh? Like..." At this point, her expression faded into a somewhat downcasted state, same with her mood to some degree.... "A possibility to show that I...don't deserve to be overshadowed, do I? I'm not...inferior of you or Nathan, just because I'm not a battler like you people and by far not that strong, not even SPEAKING of brave... But, did you saw that even valder attended the Running? And guess what I did? Been there at the safety of the Daycare, following the whole thing on screen while drinking tea. While you people were out there acting brave and chivalric..."

Keeping the current circumstances/happenings in mind,  little encouragement concerning her niche in the party doesn't hurt. Also, Helios now knows Toxic and I'd be indeed down for another call home to Unova at some point! I also feel that it's in-character that Shiva does not open up towards Ven about her worries concerning failure in the Gym (no, his empathy would not pick this up) since she already did so to Cottonee to a sufficient degree.
