Well, the last big part of Ventus' backstory is out. He's lived a very interesting, my character has. Its a surprise he's still able to pass off as a sane individual, all things considering...

Nathan's belief in Ventus is mixed up beyond compare now...Cynthia herself trusted him with a Togepi egg, he'd befriended a myth with the best of intentions in mind, Shiva sees...something in him...and yet he's everything that's opposite to all that as well...he acts in ways that no good Togekiss trainer would, he's just as uncaring as he is caring, he's driven away those he tried to bring closer...it just took one little push for the balance to finally tip...

That use of 'endearing' is what ended up putting that little remark in that quote, since that's kinda what that usage of the word implied in that particular conversation...

He wished he did. If their is anything that can be said about Ventus, its that he doesn't really make the 'right' or 'correct' decisions until its far too late for him to do anything about that. Such is a part of life: learning from the past, but at a point that its less than optimal for them and others. What if, what if...

Pro Tip: if the exchange was legitimate, there's no reason to act suspicious about it. The only suspicious part was the circumstances surrounding the trade's location. Could have avoided most of this mess if there hadn't been unnecessary cloak and dagger surrounding giving Nathan the item. At the same time, though, it would have also meant Nathan would have walked off pretty quickly afterwards and not calmed down slightly from hearing all of this...and he'd still have the Shadow Triad's number, however encrypted it would have been...shudder

All's well that end's as well as it possibly can, I guess? Nathan's still got one more thing to ask of Ventus, though, before he heads off and mulls everything over...and probably tests Conversion properly as well.

Ventus didn't want to exactly give away who gave him such valuable items, and he's was kinda uncomfortable giving more details to Nathan, lest he piss him off for whatever reason, so that whole thing escalated rather well, all things considered! Let's hope they're too busy caring for a completely insane Ghetsis and seeking revenge against Rosa for the past 4 years to have done any of that, then...

Well, still have to finish up that little bit with Shiva, and waiting on Iron to wrap up Nathan's day since there's a half conversation with Kirlia again.  (plus any training rolls from that training session, if any)
