Once there's a little more distance between him and Ventus, Nathan approaches Shiva.  "Thanks for the quick response.  I'd have done this already, but...well..."

His gaze very briefly flits to Ventus before refocusing on Shiva, and he sighs...

"Anyways, I need to conduct a round trade.  Ventus apparently traded a Kangaskhan he caught yesterday for a Dubious Disc of all things...you uh, wouldn't mind helping with that real quick, would ya?  That is, assuming Porygon2 is fine with evolving again...I uh, still have to ask it about that..."

Ventus gave her one of his simple and affectionate smiles as he handed over the black beverage, before sitting down beside her. "Well, I see you are certainly excited to take your first Gym Challenge, hmm? Then again, just about anyone else would be too, unless they lived very interesting lives themselves, or are chronically apathetic. So, are we waiting on Nathan to come here so that we all can leave together as a group to the Gym, or do wish to discuss your battle plan with us, so that we could advise you? Either way, I'm ready to depart, so at you signal, my dear friend..."

"Excited may be not the best words to describe it, Ven. Rather...nervous a heck, though somewhere deep I have the feeling that I might at least have a chance to win, like I won't go down spectacularly olike I would have back then when you and Nathan battled. But I've worked to this showdown for a while, and now... I'd be down to depart to Gym as soon as something with Nathan has been wrapped up, he said he needs my help on something."

"Oh, and..." At that point, she faintly cuddled up to the researcher beside her, before letting go and resuming to pour a second portion of sugar into the coffee, "thanks for that one! No discussing of battle plan though, the tactics are settled." Slightly mischievous smile said enough already.

Nathan indeed arrived relatively soon, and after he spoke out his plea, Shiva could not help but to...highly wonder where Ven got a Dubious Disc of all things from. These are hard to get without the right connections...certainly not without a few 'shadier' connections. She didn't knew what it was, but she did notice it had to do with the researcher in some way according to Nathan's semi-disapproval of the disk... There certainly was way more behind Ven's smiles than she already knew.

...However, she didn't let any of this slight suspicion arise and cause trouble, not now. Instead, she met his ask for a round trade with delight. "Sure, we can do a quick trade for the sake of evolution. Though, I cannot affort any of my close and frequently used Pokemon loose faith in me now and Helios is by far not yet ready to reach his Final Form, so I'll trade you that Fletchling I met as we left Ginger Town for the first time in return. Okay?"

"Again, thank you.  Let me just ask Porygon2 if it's okay with this first, and then we'll get started if it has no problems with it.  Really should have done that beforehand, thinking about it..."

Nathan sits down at a table and summons Porygon2.  The duck tilts his head in a semi-quizzical look.  What does master Nathan want this time?  More Conversion practice or training?  A battle?  To give some kind of gift?  Those were the usual reasons he was released from his pokeball.

Nathan looks at his digital soldier for a moment before taking a deep breath.  "Alright, Porygon2, got another question for ya.  Same thing like what we did back in Corsage.  Ventus got you another item that will modify your code and 'upgrade' you via evolution.  This time, though...well, it won't be as streamlined.  You'll certainly become a lot stronger and more capable, but there will be a few...side effects, shall we say.  So, before we do another round trade to evolve you...do you want to evolve and become stronger again despite the potential risks?  If so, Shiva and I are going to conduct another round trade to expedite the process as long as you're fine with that."

Noibat gets a training roll. He's going to focus on proving himself with Intimidate.

During a sparring match, you could definitely still use the moves Strike (does a small amount of nonlethal damage) or Knockback (applies a -1 penalty to accuracy rolls until they get up) or Grapple (Blocks the target, and also causes a Strength vs Strength roll for dominance).

Axew will use his own stats.

(No. As far as I understood, this battle takes place while Gym Battle of mine, which Ventus and Nathan attent to watch.)

Nathan sees Porygon2 Downloading data on the dubious disc. Its eyes bug out for a moment. It Downloads some more. Then it nods.

"Alright.  One round trade coming right up, then."

Nathan hands Porygon2 the Dubious Disc to hold on to, recalls it to its pokeball for the trade, then heads back over to Shiva.

"Alright, it's fine with both the evolution and the round trade.  You should explain that we're doing a round trade to whatever pokemon you're trading with Porygon2 before we start.  They might get upset, otherwise."

By the time Nathan has explained things to Porygon2, Shiva had already witdrawn Fletchling from Bill's PC in exchange for Nightshade - safety first - and summoned the bird onto her hand. By the looks of it, the bird didn't seemed to mind resting on the PC for a while, but was nevertheless delighted to see her Master again after a while. Even more as she was offered a hand full of crumbled Pirsif Berry Cookies for breakfast!

"Haha, I'm glad to see you again as well, lil' one. Enjoy your food... And sorry that you couldn't enjoy some action outside of the Box so far. My pool of Pokemon is growing... Everyone of you is important to me for their own reasons... But sadly I can only carry six Pokemon at once. But, I promise, as soon as we settle down somewhere after the journey you all will be useful and allowed to roam free. Alright?" ... "Besides..." *affectionate stroking Fletchling under its beak* "...your aid is needed. No, not in a battle, but rather in the terms of helping a different Pokemon reaching its next stage in evolution." At this point, Fletchling took a break from picking crumbles from Shiva's hand and looked up to her curiously with a slightly tilted head. "Indeed, YOU can help with that. Sounds good, huh? However... To do that, I have to place you back into your Ball and afterwards into a Trading Machine. Listen though, you will NOT be traded, I'd never do that to you, you will just be send to one my companions... that one over there with the pink and blue digitally-looking Pokemon." *discretly pointing to Nathan to make Fletchling see* "You will come back to me right away. You will still be my Pokemon. Is that okay to you?"

After Fletching reacted to this, Nathan would come back, explaining that Porygon2 agrees. (I might edit here to respond to the reaction.)

"Already did that, Nathan. If your ready, we can start the quick trade, and head to the Gym afterwards."
