The question is though: who gets it when it does hatch? I imagine Shiva will be rather defensive about that, but I would like to bring up a reminder that Vincent didn't specify any particular member of the group when he sent the egg over.

*Looks through Ventus tumulctous history, both past and with the group* Umm, the jury is still very much out on that, my love. He's a nice and generous guy, but it doesn't change the fact that he's also bordline insane and viscously 'protective' over his friends/Pokémon...

EDIT: Yup, I was right...

I want to wait and see what it is before we all start getting grabby about it, but truth be told Ventus doesn't really have that much at stake with the Egg. He's never been interacted with it much at all (In fact, he even forgot about it at one point!), and has been content to just let Shiva handle it for the time being, given her status as a Pseudo Breeder (Now just a plain old Breeder). Nathan has more claim to it than my character, given the brief but powerful emotional attachment they had with dear old Vince. God, I miss Dies Irae...such a good player to be around.

Hmmmm....I think those say a lot by themselves as well.  They're some of the very few reasons Nathan still has at least some faith in Ventus, anyways.

Doesn't matter whether Vincent did not specified any particular person for the egg, but I think it's obvious and beyond the debate that Shiva will NOT and NEVER give away whatever hatches from the egg unless the plot strongly calls for it, which I very much hope it won't. Sorry, that's the way it is. I'm rather glad and thankful that GM allowed me to keep my sideplots when they began to cause problems within the group, as I greatly enjoy them and they make things more interesting to my taste.

Just be mindful of the fact that, regardless of whether or not either Ven or Nate tries to take possession of the Pokémon, they are still going to be rather curious about the creature for their own reasons. I would also imagine that the Egg and its Pokémon might end up at the University that Iron mentioned way back, as they did want to do further research on it; its why the egg was given to Vincent in the first place, I think.

I like the ideas of subplots, so long as they don't directly and negatively detract from the other characters in our group. Personally, I think that whatever Iron has cooked up for us in the future is going to be more than interesting for all of us, but variety is the spice of life, as they say!
