[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
Nathan finds the bone of a semi-ancient Pokemon, perhaps a Skiddo or similar. It has an arrowhead embedded in it.

The Fortune Teller would offer you $3000 for it.

From a crack in the strange road comes an unearthly blue light! Shiva thinks she has seen that same blue color just recently...

Shiva absolutely enjoyed the Route and already looked forward to hit those vendors BAR that...that blasted STEEL-Type Tutor - pretty sure some familiar Sociologist would be interested in that, remembering how he once mentioned Steel being his favorite Type among Dragon. Fairy and Steel - quite a weird combo if looked at closely, and yet he was right there beside her, held her hand when needed and barely ever failed to lift her spirits with one of his winning smiles. How weird...

My dear, stop staring after him, watch your steps!
Eeeeee, I'm not staring!!!

Managing to book some sucesses in Move Tutoring on her own, she'll pretty sure come back to the Tutor though to exchange some experiences and get advice for her further side-career as Tutor. Even despite he specialices in...Steel...

...Cottonee becoming quite a nuisance by constantly nudging her from her place on Shiva's shoulder ended her mind wandering off into untouched territory. Master has called her out and promised her some free time along with her on the way to the next town, but what as this here, some sort of stony path? That was not what the fluffball expected...

She knew it was just playfully and the hidden prankster in her showing through, but... "Cottonee, dear, please stop that. And NO, you cannot try on my glasses." This only encouraged the fluffball even more. "... ... ... How about we wander off and FIND some nature, how does that sound to you? I heared there are human-accustomed Pokemon in this area, so maybe we'll get you a friendly battle or a new companion?"

What a coincidence that just in the distance there was a berry bush, and from the distance Shiva could only guess whether it really was a Chest-berry-bush as she assumed from the typical growth habit. It was pretty close to a stiff mountain wall, do Pokemon really hide somehwere there? Guess it's see and find out... If they're human-accustomed, they can't be that dangerous, c-can they?!

Taking on Litwick-Encounter please, and am quite interested in getting it for my team. @Iron, lol, you were faster. Edits incoming.

The clouds had gathered and so had the vendors. Valder was quickly appealed by the steal tutor and thought what a shame it would be not to use this oportunity.
He sent Piloswine out and asked if it wanted to learn Iron Tail.

If it did, tell me and I'll apply the changes.

(Or another post incoming because Editing wouldn't make much sense in this case.)

Welp, that hunt for Pokemon on this path ended up sucessfully way faster than she expected. Cottonee was surely faster than Shiva and arouse her Master's attention to that...light she spotted. Coming closer, something in Shiva's adult mind moved - that blue light, it's not from this world... It was blue, almost lavender. Flames of such a colour could only mean few things, and how lucky that just yesterday she battled a Pokemon that commanded flames in just that shade of colour.

There was still an amount of fear in her. If it was indeed what she thinks it was, then the Pokemon's currently draining her life energy with its flame... But, what was this Pokemon doing around that time of the day at all, and most of all on such a civilized Route?

Too bad Shiva currently had no sacrificial offering to the Pokemon, but was it just her imagination and SHE would make a great source of energy to drain? Not that she was doing subconditionally very well currently, and she'd probably be an easy target... She decided to just sit there beside the blue light and await for the matching Pokemon to show itself, and see how it does react to her.

Piloswine is definitely up for learning a new move, even if the Pokemon doesn't have a visible tail.

She waits, but the source of the flame does not come out.

A Rare Bone...well, not quite.  This one looked slightly damaged thanks to the arrowhead that barely glinted in the sunlight.  Apparently he's not the only one interested in it, though, seeing as the Fortune Hunter ('So this is who Shiva met with in Corsage?  Yup, seems exactly like the kind of person she'd go out of her way to talk to...') offered to buy his find from him for $3000.  An offer which Nathan has no good reason to refuse.  As interesting as the bone is to him, there's not much he could learn from it that would be incredibly relevant to what's going on now.  Besides, it was a nice chunk of change, and now that he actually has a little cash to spend, some browsing was in order...

How ironic that Nathan runs into Ventus because they're both interested in the Steel Move Tutor.  To teach the same move.  To cover a pokemon's weaknesses a little better.  How in the heck Lucifer learns Iron Tail from this tutor before it even has a tail to begin with, Nathan has no idea.  Calam learning Iron Tail isn't too far fetched at least, even if Absol can't typically use the move (or any Steel moves for that matter) either.

Calam's pretty happy with his new move, though.  Fairies were always a rather prickly thorn in his side the very few times he encountered them, and now he can smash Ice and Rock types too!  While he's used to dealing with latter two types without the additional coverage (lived in the mountains and all that jazz), more options are never a bad thing.  He's a survivalist first and foremost, and no tool could be considered a waste, no matter how trivial it might seem.

Nathan does a little more shopping as well, surprisingly.  Most notably, he ends up getting a hat.  Specifically, a grey fedora.  He'd always liked the look of that headwear, and a hat could do wonders to hide your features if you lower the brim to hide your eyes.  Which is exactly what he does as soon as he puts the hat on and continues on his way, since it illustrates that he's not exactly in a talking mood right now.

Of course, that also means he doesn't notice something up ahead until Kirlia gasps in slight fright...

Selling that Rare Bone immediately, spending $1500 to teach Calam Iron Tail, getting Nathan a nice hat, and then going to move on to that Skorupi.  Let's see what this bug's got in store for Nathan...

"Cottonee... Please try sucking the life energy of the source of the flame with Mega Drain. I feel it's a Pokemon that speciales in such a hiding and sucking energy, so your action should drag it to me. You're move's not very effective, so don't be afraid to accidently hurt it." ... "If it's indeed what I strongly think it is, I want to HAVE IT."

She could have get a ton of these Pokemon home in Unova's Celestial Tower if desired, this particular exemplar was right in front to of her...

Hmm...that might work.

Cottonee sends her leaching power into the rock...she just barely can arrange line of sight on that pale lavender flame.

Mega Drain
3 2 3 = 8 dice
(1)(3)(4)(3)(5)(5)(6)(1)
2 Str +2 power +1 stab -2 vit = 3d6-1
(1)(2)(3) The move does no damage, but Litwick phases right through the rock to come out, eyes closed, making sniffing motions as he follows the trail of energy drain.

He looks like he's about to use an Ember attack! But he also looks a bit wary - you suspect he has encountered humans before, and knows they can be useful. They can drop fuel, and of course they have life force.

(2)(1)(3) + Gut

You don't get a very rare Pokemon - but it's a big one! You've reeled in an Oversized Slowpoke!

The empath, as paranoid and loathing as he was about magical and arcane things, couldn't deny the sheer usefulness of the Necklace of Serenity (That is what I'm going to call it now!), and decided to keep the artifact and gift it to Apsis! 'Most magic is utterly abhorrent and deserves to be stamped out and annilated, but I'm willing to make exceptions if said power does nothing but benefit my sister's offensive prowess. Besides, I do believe she'll enjoy such finery drapped on her; she is my imperious, regal cobra, after all,' he thought, absolutely correct in assumption as she lets out a *Hiiisss!!!* of pure delight when he gives it to her, receiving a great big (Yet very control) Wrapped hug for such a magnificent gift!

Her master has not only increased her might in battle with this precious gift, but has yet again showed to her just how wonderful, caring, and generous he to her! If she was not only already in a state of blissful contentment because of this tribute towards her power, then his fishing plans certainly fixed that issue in no time flat! That first Pokémon he reeled in- a great big Slowpoke!- certainly looked nice, plump, and delicious...but her master's next order put a end to such fantasies, much to her disappointment. Oh well, their was always more fish out their for her to eat! "Apsis, I desire to catch this Pokémon as an investment down the line, so this Pokémon is off the menu, so to speak. First use Acid Spray to enervate its psychic powers, then proceed to lay into them with Ice Fangs until they frozen stiff, before finally savaging it with a flurry of Thunder Fangs! Show it that its typing will not give it an advantage against you!"

Order: Apsis will use Acid Spray to lower its STR first, then Ice Fang to try and Freeze it the first round. Future rounds will have her use Ice Fang 3 time per Round if its not frozen by the first; when it does Freeze, she'll start to use Thunder Fangs to quickly wear it down and try to Paralyze it too! If she falls bellow half hp before Slowpoke is frozen, however, she's switch to using Thunder Fang and just finish it off that way. Once its knocked down and at least Paralyzed (Glare it if TF didn't proc that), he'll use start to use his Pokeballs (2) on it, before move on to his Great Ball (1). If it resist all of those, Apsis is going to brutally maul/devour it, as it made me waste 3 Pokeballs at that point, and Ven would be pretty pissed off about that! Let the Slowpoke be crippled, mwhahaha!

Moves:

Round 1

Acid Spray
Accuracy: DEX (2) + Fight (3) + Channel (3) - 2 Actions = 6D6 Dice
Damage: STR (3) + 2 + STAB - Vitality (?) = 6D6 Base Damage
Effect: - 2 STR

Ice Fang
Accuracy: 7D6 - 1 Accuracy - 3 Actions = 3D6 Dice
Damage: 5D6 - 1 Base Damage
Effect: *Flitch 4* and *Freeze 4* with the Necklace of Serenity equipped!

Future Rounds

Ice Fang Accuracy: 7D6 - 1 Accuracy - 3/4/5 Actions = 3/2/1D6 Dice

Thunder Fang (Will Replace Ice Fang once its Frozen/Apsis have only 1/2 HP or less
Accuracy: Same as Ice Fang
Damage: 5D6 + 1 Base Damage
Effect: *Flitch 4* and *Paralysis 4* with the Necklace of Serenity equipped!
