I'd still feel offended/creeped if someone starred at my Pokemon and especially their held item to find out what it is they're holding, even if it's fairly noticeable. ._.

Well, giant, pink pearls that boost psychic powers aren't exactly something you come across very often.  You would have to not recognize what it is to not be at least a little surprised.  That one Clamperl at the aquarium in Corsage only had to take one awed look at it, and it knew exactly what it was.  Everyone else who's seen it so far hasn't really commented on it, so they probably haven't really looked into Clamperl and Spoink too much.

If there was any time for Ventus to comment on the pearl, it was probably when Lucifer 'frisked' Kirlia.  There were other concerns at the time though, I guess...

Eh, anyway, since that Poochyena seems to be a harmless adaptation, that changes things a little for me. Hmm, I wonder whether it will keep Shield Dust-ability upon evolving? I really like Mightyena, even more with tiny bioluminescent Butterfree-wings, but they only seem to obey 'Trainers that show superior skill, which they recognize as the alpha leader'. Interestingly, it still has zero Disobedience... I interpret 'superior skills' not directly as 'superior skills in Pokemon Battling'.

Also, I'll head to bed now since I'm actually rather tired... I'm awaiting for Windos to show up for the sake of finishing that started conversation - looking forward how Ven handles her being cuddly and melancholic at the same time~ - so that the new in-game day can dawn tomorrow, if that's okay.

There's one more line in the 'dex entry that explains Mightyena's lack of disobedience:

They are extremely obedient once they find a master.

Reminds me of the Ralts line a little.  A bit unruly for the most part, but when fully evolved, they're the most loyal companions you could possibly ask for.  Maybe even a little TOO loyal sometimes...

I enjoy overly loyal Pokemon, and the image of Shiva having a Mightyena with tiny Butterfree-wings as a companion and attraction/recognition feature for her own Daycare. Not even speaking of how hilarious it's be to send it into battle.

It's still undisclosed whether she will reveal that Poochyena to the party, it got sent to Bill's PC for now. Need to talk with Professor Mallorn first, right after (or before, doesn't matter) with her father.

It would be awesome to see that Pokemon in Shiva party. Not for battle since she is a pacifist person, but more for show strength and light spirit (no pun intended).

Well, it'd quickly become scary for the opponent if Shiva means business.  It would still be a Mightyena after all.  They learn Crunch as soon as they evolve.  And Shield Dust makes it a whole new brand of difficult to deal with since you can't cripple it with secondary effects, period.

I do feel Orthros might be interested in meeting the very small part bug Poochyena.  Even if only because it's another dog that doesn't quite seem to belong in this realm of existence because there isn't really anything else like it.

TBH, I'm kinda hoping Kirlia gets that 5th loyalty point soon (or another party member gains one, doesn't matter too much, really. Though Kirlia seems somewhat likely since Iron did imply there was a very high chance that 5th point would come when the Scarred Absol thing was finished) so I can actually do something with Orthros besides the off screen basic care Nathan's providing when there's nobody around...
