Personally, until Dragonstrike/Heart/Maybe Valder (I don't know who has voted thus far) vote on the issue and chip in their 10 cents on what should be done, talking about this topic is a bit pointless, unless Iron wants to call the vote right now in favor of Mountain Trip (2-1-0 for Mountain Trip, Brenching Checkpoint, and Detour respectively.). I've already said why I want to risk Almanac, but I'm perfectly fine with either option so long as we don't have to take the Detour, if at all possible.

Oh yeah, another thing I should mention: there's a wild Geodude and Rattatta that have been following us around for awhile now for unknown reasons. Neither of them really care for pokeballs, either, and they'll express as much if you try and capture them.

Yup.  Geodude.  He's been following us since we ran into him on Route 01.  And he picked up a hungry little Rattata friend in Fireweed Forest as well.  He's usually in the background, but he's proven fairly helpful for the most part if we have good reason to ask for his assistance (and sufficient compensation, depending on the task).

It's the same Geodude that Heart is currently interacting with, if that wasn't completely clear.

Looks like we are all going to attempt to brave the mountains, judging by the 3 to 1 vote in its favor! Hopefully our Pokémon can help us tranverse its wildness and the perilous dangers associated with such an activity! Perhaps Grid can produce some spider silk rapel cords/tie so that nobody gets separate or falls and badly injures themselves while climbing?
