"Yeah, his evolution has a little to do with Unown, that much I can confirm.  He's able to read because of it, as I discovered earlier today, which is going to be quite handy.  As for Orthros here...well, I assume you're familiar with Delta Species, yes?  I didn't really know much about them at first.  And then I encountered Orthros here, and my Pokedex brought up a little information concerning strangely typed pokemon.  I got curious, did a little reading, and found out there's a whole classification for such pokemon.  Originated in a small region called Holon, apparently.  Except...Holon's Deltas look a lot more like the originals than Orthros here does.  He's special for some reason.  I don't entirely understand why, but he is.  That brain of his is a good representation of his Psychic type.

"Speaking of which...I noticed you have a fair few pokemon of that type registered in your pokedex.  Comite and its evolutions...well, that one I'd really appreciate getting to know a little more about, because one of my companions found a Comite somehow, and I only know the bare bones about that species's supposed origins.  I'm also interested in hearing about a couple others...I've never, ever heard of Neopunk, Praseopunk, S51, and S51-A before.  Are those rare even in Tandor?"

"Comite is common as rocks. It evolves twice: once by growing stronger, and once by trading. The third stage, Astronite, is a fantastically strong battler. Versatile, too - it can live even in space! They're hard to train, because they have an endless urge to get back to space where their species came from. Comite or its ilk came to Tandor in a meteor, and they've been breeding in caves there. As far as I knew, it had never crossed the ocean to Creshire. I can pinpoint its arrival in Tandor at about 6 or 7 thousand years ago."

"Neopunk and Praseopunk are odd. Twins, akin to the Porygon electric soldiers used by Dagny. They're not legendary in strength, but they hadn't appeared until suddenly some few of our PCs spawned them. I've been doing LOTS of research on that front, although computer technology isn't my specialty."

"S51...the less said about that here, the better. Much like your Absol to these...uh, nevermind...Much like Absol, S51 causes unrest, panic, and superstition to run rampant. Most Tandorians are unsure if it's a real Pokemon or just a rumor." He tries to phrase this in such a way that the crowd won't know either. He knows Nathan will see right through that, though.

"I'm sure it wouldn't be doing the Pokemon any service to propagate rumors of its nest."

"My Arceus! So many options to make that I dont know what to choose! Hmm..." Heart was indecisive about what to buy. He thinks everyone will be full after eat the lasagna so he decided to take the mostly light desserts possible. Then Heart decides to ask something to someone. "Hello! I would like to ask how much will cost the breadlike Magikarps, the Exeggcute custard with sweet ricepaper shell and the 3D Flareon Kit? I have some friends of mine I would like to make a surprise for them."

Nathan takes some notes on Sheldon's comment about the psychic pokemon he very, very clearly owns since they were registered in his pokedex.

"No, it wouldn't.  Even some of the most unruly ones are loyal friends once you get to know them, as many, many trainers have proven in the past with even some the most dangerous species.  I hope to be able to demonstrate that with Orthros and Calam as I travel.  Nothing really bad about them at the end of the day.  They spook people, but that's about it, and it's not really their fault specifically when it comes right down to it.  Even one or two bad apples in the wild can completely ruin the reputation of the entire species..."

"Enough Magikarp Taiyaki to feed 5 people, $100. 3D Flareon Kit, $300, and you'll have leftovers. Enough Exeggcutes, $175."

Sheldon winks. "Yes, where would we be without Pokemon? Still in the dark ages, that's for sure. The same goes for the invention of the Pokeball, portable medicine, and Healing Machines."

"No kidding.  Well, thank you once again for the demonstration.  I learned a lot from it (Leveling Dexterity to 4 for 30 exp!  Whoo!). Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to get back to the Center now.  Got a couple things I need to do there before I turn in for the night.  I wish you all the best as you and Dagny endeavor to try and quell these cursed vines.  Until we next meet."

And back to the Center we go to wait for Shiva (and Ventus too, I guess) at one of the tables in the lobby.  Gotta heal Orthros and Solomon, and Nathan's also going to be writing out the alphabet in both English and Unown on one of the pages of his journal, leaving room for a 3rd set of characters to be written underneath them.

Ventus' smile grew just a bit brighter at the thought of visiting the bustling coffee shop with his dear friend, especially since his old coworkers/friends would most likely be thrilled to see him return after such a long absence. "That would delightful, Shiva. While in Castelia, we could your family's daycare a visit too, if you desired for me to see how the business operates and introduce me to your family. I'm curious to how it compares/contrast to Gilda's Daycare as well, so such a visit would be rather educational and help me record my own research notes as well!"  he smoothly replied, giving his blessed companion a beaming smile at her offer, as well as his own ideas that he contributed to the discussion. Granted, he was hiding an undercurrent of nervousness about meeting the lass' family, given his less than....normal personality by almost any metrical standard, but pushed that aside for the moment.

At mention of the Fountain and it main premise, the empath nodded his head in confirmation, but the onsite photo record/taking was a bit of a surprise to him as well (Though he didn't express it visibly this time). When she brought out her own phone and revealed the picture of Azuril's probable former owner, a small frown briefly tugged at his lips as he only saw their general profile and not their actual face/identity. 'Drat. I thought the photograph would have more to lend than just confirming our suspicious that they're a stage magician of some category or another, but at least more than we knew previously,' the sociologist pondered, before he motioned to Shiva that he had seen enough of the photo to commit it to memory. "I'm glad to hear you've developed such a strong bond with Azuril, overcoming its depression and making true progress in them becoming a Azumaril someday. When that day comes, perhaps a celebration is in order to commemorate such monumentous event; a Pokémon's evolution is no small thing indeed, and deserves all the praise and attention it deserves!"

With physical contact established by holding Shiva's hand, he was easily able to detect the next instance of twin tailed thoughts from her and more clearly differentiate them, making him even MORE curious about such unique thought patterns. Ven decided not to comment about it right now, however, as bringing up someone's mental state in the midst of a date friendly outing would hardly be polite/a mood killer , and would most definitely make the lass more self conscious about herself around him, something which he DIDN'T want to happen.

Of course, Shiva's raising the issue of introducing him to her parents did a pretty good job making HIM nervous about his own character/friendship towards her, though again it wasn't visible unless you reeeeeaaaaally tried to search for it. Silence filled the space between as he thought over the pros and cons of such a meeting to himself once more, his expression focused and eyes closed during his internal deliberations. Eventually, after what seemed like an eternity between them, Ventus incline his head towards the fae woman, agreeing to her proposal. "That would be...acceptable, Shiva. I won't speak unless spoken too or prompted, and I'll let you lead the conversation with your father, but I'll be present during the video call. I'm flattered you think so highly of me, and I hope that your parents will be of the same mind of the matter as you are."

Order: Accept Shiva's offer to be in the vidya call, and just continue to hang out with her until she's ready to leave to the GSC to get that business conducted. He's not too thrilled about the whole prospect, to be honest, but he doesn't want to disappoint of let down his closet friend/crush by blatently refusing her entreaty, so there you go! Also, Ven's going to totally ignore Nathan unless they try to initiate conversation with him for one reason or the other, but he's at least not going to be irritated by being in their mere presence-his outing with Shiva has done wonders to improve his good cheer and tolerance, you know!
