[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
At least you find someone who like Delta Dragonstrike. If you someday show Orthros to Heart, he might help you since know a few things about Deltamons. Heart last statement its a prove you can count with Delta topic.

Dang it dang it dang it dang it dang it.  This is messing with my plans.  Uuuuuggggghhhhhh....

Well, at least Heart agrees with Nathan's viewpoint...

That's one of the reason's why I don't make a lot of long term plans, and just instead set goals/mission objectives for Ventus to accomplish and have them work their way towards it in the most organic way possible, and be able to react and adapt to jarring changes or being left behind in some aspect with relative ease! Your plans can't be dashed when you don't have much of one to begin with, eh?

Ventus actually doesn't hate Delta species at all, and is rather curious and eager to get the chance to meet, study, and maybe even capture a few of his own. He just reeeeeeeeaaaaaaaallllllyyyyyy doesn't like Orthros for both justified reasons (His own history with them, concerned with how Shiva will handle it) and not (His paranioa and irrational hatred against arcane things strikes again!). At this point, the party is evenly divided on their opinion of the Delta Houndour (Valder really hasn't made his opinion known about this, though I assume he would be inclined to agree with his employer/benefactor), so that is certainly going to cause some interesting tensions to form within the party, eh?

Well, Orthros is basically the LAST of the 'long term plans' I currently have.  And I don't think any of us expected this to happen...everything was going fine until Heart almost randomly mentioned Delta Species before Nathan did...ugh...now Nathan actually has a reason to consider not introducing Orthros to Shiva...

His original goal/mission objective with both Calam and Orthros is still in progress, of course, but man, this is REALLY throwing a wrench in the equation...it's going to be hard for him to accomplish that goal if he has to constantly worry about how Shiva might react to Orthros...

Quite frankly, Nathan doesn't particularly care what Ventus thinks of the dog atm, so long as it's not potentially harmful for the hound.

...*sigh*...well, maybe Shiva can kick off the chain of events that lead to Orthros's reveal since there's a chance she might actually try and figure out what's going on with him right now.  I'm not sure Nathan's going to have the heart to start that conversation himself, though the same can be said about continuing to hide Orthros from her...

Blegh...I had to be up at 5 AM today for work...on the plus side, I'll be back home just after 2, and I don't have work tomorrow.  The downside: I'm almost as tired as Nathan is going to be at the start of the next in-game day.   Uuuggghhh....

Nope, certainly not now, sorry for that... I want to rp-out the video-call home to Castelia City with Ventus and GM which has priority for Shiva, then turn in for the night to enable the next in-game day to dawn by handwavium. Then get anything concerning the meeting with the Director of the Shelter for Disobediant Pokemon in the way, as well as meet up with Professor Quickbeam from Telperion University concerning Pancham + research in the library, as well as pay the Department Store a visit. (not necessarily in that order) Depending what the meeting with the Director brings, Shiva will also be busy working at the Shelter during the afternoons.

I need Porygon-Z on loan at some point from your chara though, Dragon, so Shiva will inevitable approach Nathan at some point.

I salute you soldier, and should you fall in the battle against weariness I'll honor your memory forevermore! That, and you have my sympathies mate, unlike Ventus with Nathan!

Besides, people, since Shiva is not very fond of Deltas outside Holon + the fact that the Houndour is a dream demon, Ventus doesn't like Orthros anyway, Heart displays fascination + liking for Deltas and Valder is impartial/neutral about that so far, Nathan most likely won't part ways with the Delta Houndour, what would actually be so bad about only revealing the dog to Heart and maybe Valder? I'm not sure about Ventus... But none forces Nathan to reveal Orthros to Shiva, he might also decide to abstain from it for her own good.

Sure, that'd need a bit of hassle when feeding Orthros, caring for him etc., but I feel it'd be certainly doable.

There would no problem. Show a Deltamon to Heart wouldnt hurt. Perhaps show to someone would help Nathan reduce that heavy mind of him. Heart say that random thing about Deltas because he feel the atmosphere about the Deltamons and show he would dont mind have one to him, and perhaps elaborate Pokemon (Delta or not) are dangerous anyways, but they are still Pokemon anyway and perhaps deserve to live like any pokemon.

Not 'perhaps'... Of course Delta Pokemon deserve to live like any other Pokemon.
It's just that to Shiva, they better stay where they originate from. There's nothing wrong with training Delta within Holon or very close to the region, same with them being in the hands of a trustworthy scientist/Pokemon Professor for research.

The main issue OOC is I want to use Orthros regularly, Phantom, and that means Orthros can't be kept secret forever (particularly if everyone starts recognizing Nathan as 'that trainer with a strange houndour' eventually).  IC, Nathan's trying to prove a point.  While Creshire respects pokemon a lot, a good portion of it stems from fear and paranoia when the pokemon seem less than agreeable.  Example A: Absol.

I didn't say the reveal should happen now, either.

Nathan would likely also argue that removing a delta from its habitat to train it is no different from doing so with any other pokemon.  Sure, they're rarer than most pokemon, but even some normal pokemon are just as rare (For example, Hawlucha is only found in the wild in Kalos as of right now. Or how about Comite outside of Tandor if we want to use a more relevant example?).
