[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
Gothitelle is behind her line, tracing designs in the dust with her finger. Rotom is nowhere to be seen, which is never good.

All three Unown are pretty much always found together. When you enter the room, they drift from their wall by the window and float in the air, slightly closer to you and Kirlia. These Unown are in the modern black style, naturally. They don't commit to any particular order but float around in various permutations.

It's similar to why especially bred Pokemon have their prize. Father leads a Daycare specialised in the breeding of customised Pokemon and it occurs at a regular basis that a customer gives particular parents into our care. Each day we host these parental Pokemon will be charged and added to the final invoice. So you have my understanding in this point, Sir."

"This is the reason why I have an offer about that, but at first - would you care to tell me the average costs for hosting a Pokemon like Gothitelle? The adopting fine for this Pokemon was 5500$, according to one of the receptionists."

"Right. Those adopting fees are roughly based on the hosting costs, with a slight discount for Pokemon that have been here a long time, as is the case with both Gothitelle and Kingdra. Gothitelle requires a very special trainer and could be dangerous if not properly cared for. And she wouldn't be happy with just anyone. Kingdra is just a very large, aquatic Pokemon with a Draconic temper, so he costs a bit more than what we're asking, but he will require a firm hand and lots of exercise."

Kirlia looks at Gothitelle curiously.  He stays by Nathan for now, though.

"Hmmm...well, there's supposed to be a Rotom in here...ah, I know."

Nathan summons Porygon-Z.

"Alright, Porygon-Z.  There's apparently a Rotom somewhere in here.  Mind trying to figure out where it is while I'm doing some other stuff?  Oh, and I'm sure the Shelter would appreciate it if you didn't break or corrupt any of their electronics in the process, so be careful, okay?"

And following that, Nathan also summons Solomon.  Wonder how he and the Unown will react to each other...

Porygon-Z gravitates toward the climate control system. The panel where you're supposed to set the temperature lights up with that distinctive Rotom face! Porygon dives right in. Soon the room is changing rapidly from cool to hot, and Porygon-Z is showing Rotom how to form animated images from the stock icons. Sparks and creaks are occasionally flying from the machine. You probably shouldn't allow this to continue if you want to preserve the Shelter's property from the ravages of these pranksters.

The enormous Solomon nods sagely to the tiny Unown. They dip before him in their own bow. They almost act as if they know each other, though for at least 2 out of these 3 Unown, that would be impossible. His crown's design is more visible right now, though it's not glowing and hasn't grown any deeper an etching.

"Well...that didn't take long...alright, that's enough, Porygon-Z.  Come on back now, please.  Good to see you've made a new friend so quickly.  Maybe we can arrange something if Rotom wants."

Back to the Unown...

"Out of curiosity, Unown, what do you think of what's going on at the Skull Ruins?"

'A very special Trainer' was required for that Gothitelle... It was probably hard to believe (even for Shiva herself) how much she internally warmed up to hearing this. Was this what she somewhat subconsciously wanted to be? And what does 'very special' even mean?

This time, it took her a little longer to respond to Director North. When she did though, there was a very subtle trace of melancholy in her voice - she has unexpectedly reminded on these feelings of being overshadowed within the group she travels with. "A very special Trainer... Believe me, since I've been traveling this region I indeed grew a feeling that I am...different... I'm not one of these 'Natural Battlers', or those that look forward to the day when they finally can depart home to go on a adventure alongside a gifted Starter. Being a Trainer is no taken-for-grantedness for me. I'm still getting used to it, and it took quite a while before I even pondered to take on the Gym Challenge which is, as it seems, a requirement for those who call themselves a 'Pokemon Trainer'? I invest way more time in getting to know the Pokemon I am happy to call my own, care for them instead of training them to be strong and brilliant in battle... So far, I gathered a good amount of Psychic Types, or Pokemon that gain Psychic Type when evolving further (Comite and Braixen). Plus, Fairy Types. They are my matter, and those and Psychics seem to be interested in me, or at least don't mind my presence and care... Like, just lately I managed to evolve my Abra into a precious Kadabra. On my own. I didn't even know Psychic and Fairy Type belong to those Elemental Types that are considered the hardest to train..."

"... Ehm...*cough*" "Do forgive me for this waterfall of words... Eh, what I wanted to say is that am willing to give it a try, being that special Trainer for Gothitelle. Rest assured that I'll do what I can to make her confortable with me... However, what do you mean by 'she could be dangerous when not properly cared for'? Where there...any incidents that I should be aware of?"

Well, it doesn't cost much for a trainer to raise a Pokemon, comparatively, so we do sometimes make compromises. You must understand ahead of time, however, that it is not free for us to raise a Pokemon without the income from battles, with all the costs of extra help and board, etc."

"Yes, we understand sir, which is why we arranged a meeting with you in the first place to negotiate a deal that would mutually benefit the both of us. As a scientist that has specialized in researching and handling Disobediant Pokémon, I am aware of the costs associated with not only the basic upkeep of such creatures, but also in providing the specialized care and attention they both deserve and need for them to be content and peaceful and the miscelanious costs they incure, such as property/equipment damage. I also understand why you are charging so much for Kingdra, as not everyone is suited to raise such a fierce, potentially deadly Dragon type such as him. However, I own couple of Loyal, Happy, and FIt Draconic Pokémon myself in the form of an Arbok and Niobat, and have an extensive background working with not only Disobediant Pokémon but Dragon types of all varieties and temperments, so could you consider defraying a part of its adoption price in light of this information?" Ventus replied, letting Shiva speak with the man first and using the information as a launching point for his own argument for the shake of convenaince and to reinforce his own. It also gave him more time and Insight he need to re-formulate how to present his deals to the Director, and after a couple more minutes of thinking he decided to get straight to the point and 'show his hand', so to speak.

"With that said and in mind, I am willing to offer my expertise, services, and labor to the Shelter all day and night for a week, at not cost or expense for you or the facility itself in exchange for the release of Kingdra into my care. From what I gathered on my tour, you are doing a more than sastifactory job at meeting the basic needs of the Pokémon in your care, but having me on your staff should greatly benefit them even more, especially since I've heard that you have been unable to afford the services of someone that specializes in handling and caring for Disobediant Pokémon. I'm also willing to advertise for the Shelter while I travel the region, donate the proceed I get from the next Rare Pokémon I capture directly to the Shelter, and arrange a business deal between you and Dr. Mallorn concerning that odd Beautifly, as I imagine they would be greatly interested in obtaining such an unique specimen for a reasonable cost. Those are the things I can provide for you at this point of time, but I am also willing to accept any form of errand or task that you would have me complete in addition to what I have discussed with you. What do you say, sir?"

The sociologist patiently waited for North to respond, a smile on his perfectly composed face that showed uttered confidence in himself and the offer he gave to them. Hopefully this series of deals would persuade them, but if not then he would just have to acquire the Poke to cover Kingdra's costs the old fashion way!

They bob up and down. You have no freaking clue what that might mean. And they don't have enough letters to tell you.

Solomon just keeps staring at the Unown with a half smile. Kirlia conveys to you that they feel fear, and not a small amount of pride.
