Hmm... @Iron, since Shiva owns both Braixen and is capable to power up Fire Type Moves with Sunny Day - smells like a chance for her to actually do something. Can work at the Shelter be postponed because of emergency?

Good opportunity for Swiftfire and Orthros too technically from a type standpoint, but we also need to keep in mind our fire types would only be attacking with tiny little Embers, not raging Infernos and dangerous Flamethrowers.

Errm, that might be a bad idea, actually, if the vines are anything like the Tangrowth that shepard them they could grow even FASTER if harsh sunlight on them. That, or it could speed up all the Tangrowth only, but that still is a bad thing if it enhances their powers to control those vines!
