First off, everything that happened had nothing to do with Nintendo.
Second, I don't know if there were ever plans to release it on Mac.

While Nintendo didn't peruse any litigious action against the creators of the game, per say, their presence and interference did cause them to pull their download links to the game. I don't know whether or not Nintendo had any private conversations with the creators during the radio silence, but if they did, I doubt only but a select few knows for sure. Maybe they ultimately pulled out from the game because of things we don't know about? Pondering aside, I don't think it possible for there ever to be a Mac Release. I heard it has something to do with the game being developed in RPGXVG Maker, so unless someone is will to rework the code of the game to be cross-system compatible, I don't a port is likely to happen anytime soon...

What's so great about those Mac anyway? I'm yet happy that it runs perfectly fine on Windows now... I remember when it ran slow and laggy back then...

I know of a lot of Apple enthusiasts that will tell you that Macs are generally more powerful and run faster with less bugs, crashes, and viruses than a PC. Personally, from what I've heard of Macs, I'd love to have one myself, but the cost difference is a definite turn-off for me. Since I've seen the request for a Mac version come up a lot of times... and since I don't really know MUCH about Apple products... I do know that there are Windows emulators for Mac, so is there any particular reason that you can't run Uranium through one of them? EDITED TO ADD: @PhantomUnderYourDesk Mine is still running slow and laggy, even with being able to tweak my frame rate with the last update... are you doing something differently that I'm overlooking?

@EeveeBailey Seeing your point, Eevee (hope it's fine if I call you that for now... ) and I've met several Apple/Mac-enthusiasts, too... well, too bad they all were unfriendly and smugly so far, that's probably while I hold some kind of grudge against the brand itself. (Sorry, Apple, it's not your own fault. But you have enough customers willing to pay for your products.) Not saying that their products itself suck, though. And if there's such a Windows-Emulator, those who whish for the Mac-Version of Uranium can gladly try that
![]() As for the lagg... well, I don't really know ^-^; What I've tried at the beginning was using CheatEngine to speed the game itself up (can be downloaded and operated easily with guides floating on YouTube), it didn't help. Neither did extracting all files with a different programm. There was also the option to make the game itself being played on a lower version of Windows than that installed on the computer itself, but mine had problems with that. What ACTUALLY then helped me reducing the lagg/slowliness was simply putting the computer on maximum demand than on the regular power-saving mode. And with Version 1.0.3 it got even better somehow, at least in my case. EDIT: I can't tell you a thing about the frame rate, or what its dependency with lagg-reducing/speeding-up may be, because I somehow refuse to play around with that thing. ^-^;

Version 1.0.3 DID get a little better, but it's still a bit jumpy in spots. Strangely enough, increasing the frame rate seemed to have made it worse instead of better (or maybe it seemed that way because I'm used to it being on 40 FPS). At any rate, I'm used to it enough that it doesn't really bother me like it did when I first started playing; it just makes it a little odd when I do video capture (which I'm trying to do at certain key event locations for fic purposes). Nothing that's a complete turn-off from playing, just a little minor annoyance is all.

Macs are good, but expensive and very restrictive programming. Its so bloody hard to make software and games for it, especially freeware like Uranium. Windows is more open to the layman, but that leave it more vulnerable to malicious hackers, viruses, and overall lower performance. Still, rather stay with my open PC, then a Mac.
I do have graphics slowdown, but it has not bothered me thus far. The moving sprites give me more reasons to gripe than the slowdown, to be honest, but that is just me.

There were plans, when it first came out, the home screen said that they were working to come out with a Mac version soon, hence the question.
