[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
Nathan has a Pokedex, so he can always prevent evolution if desired!~ Of course, I don't think he'd do that, especially not on Kirlia, plus you already shared your plan and why you're keeping the Neverstone.

Well, if he didn't have that Neverstone, he definitely would use the function if Kirlia was about to evolve into Gardevoir, since the end goal here is to get a Gallade.  But since he does have the Neverstone, might as well get a Gallade that knows both Wish and Misty Terrain, which is normally impossible in-game (it'd be one or the other since an event Ralts with Wish can't normally have Misty Terrain as an egg move). Shame Moonblast is a whopping 85 exp and only learnable by Gardevoir.

If Kirlia were to evolve before learning Hypnosis, I'd probably wait on learning it until I devolve him to save 12 exp, since the cost goes from 53 to 65 from Kirlia to Gardevoir...and Wish and Magical Leaf only cost 17 exp each for Gardevoir.

Hmmm...I think Ventus might have just stumbled on a member of the Chicoatl line...

A rare line even in Tandor! I'm thinking no one in the party has probably ever heard of it, even Heart or Nathan!

Well, my initial assumption was that Nathan might have known a little bit because Coatlith was at one point hailed as a Legendary by the Baykal natives, and that was debunked in recent times (pretty historically significant stuff). I've got that whole list of tiny tidbits of info on Tandor's 'dex in the pokedex tab still.  Do PM me if there's anything you think I should add/take away from it, @Iron.

There is ONE issue concerning Ventus getting a Coatlith, though...Coatlith are known to be fiercely devoted to defending nature according to their 'dex entry.  That might cause some problems later...

The picture you found was one of those funny early explorer pictures where they drew it in the field or through description.

Like here's how they drew an elephant:

Makes sense to me!

Think Chicoatl is something Nathan might be more likely to recognize, considering it has a 30% encounter rate in the Baykal area, so more accurate pictures of that from the same source should be reasonable?  Quetzoral, Nathan's probably not going to recognize at all since the focus would be on the other members of the line.

Nathan's definitely heard of the Glaslug line.  The seal isn't all that rare, all things considered.  Just uncommon.

Ventus has no clue about this species, since Tandorian Pokémon lay outside his area of expertise by a fair margin, but normally Ventus doesn't go destroy nature willy nilly unless its blatently magical/mystical , and he generally respects his Pokémon's desires and wishes if he's aware of them, so I imagine that this won't be a problem once he does a little more research.....
