After he and Nathan reunited with the main group, Ventus let the young trainer handle the admiration/eager question of Heart and/or Shiva by himself, as he felt they could use the extra attention without him hanging around him like a grim, disapproving spector. From what the researcher saw, it looked as if the collector and mystical lass had gotten into their swamp mucking conflict, judging how bruised/worn out Victor and Yena looked, but since they didn't appeared to harried by their battle, he left them to their own device (Unless they choose to approach him, that is). Right now, Ven was scoping out the area for anything particularly interesting/useful, with Raphael preforming aerial recognassance to enhance their father's vigilant efforts! Flying and being watchful were things the archangel was excellent at, so it was perfectly suited for such a task!

Order: Going after that Valuable Item first, then I'm hopping Raphael spots the Breloom and shots off towards their location to lead him directly to the Encounter. Being economic with my posts now, you see?

When they are close with the others. "It seems Nathan is happy with something. His Ponyta was big like that before?"

Shiva does listen closely as Heart loudly ponders about the rumor of Phantump being...children who got lost and died in the forest. Their spirits possessed stumps. These are all old tales, and Shiva wasn't sure either whether to believe them or not... But since the odds point to 'true' if asked her, she prefers to keep silent here. She gets the feeling that Heart indeed takes good care of his grassy Ghost... So why stain this picture with an old scary tale?

It takes a moment for her to realize that he asked a question into the blue. But now that she looks from the ground and further down the path, she was sure that something out there...was radiating a happy feeling... How very interesting. She gaze Braixen's paw in her hand a gentle squeeze. "Braixen, dear one, you remember the smell of the others of our group? Please keep track of it, as it'd be better if we not loose them... Well, Heart, we'll find out eventually, will we?"

Heart simple smile then hug the little with a embrace hug. "Also I would like to point you did a awesome battle there before Viktor. Someday you be big and strong. I sure of that." Heart use one potion to heal Phantump. "Good thing I use the work in the Metal factor and could receive a good bunch of Pokeball and Potions."

"I agree Shiva." Then Heart hit something in the ground when they are walking. "What the heck is this?" Heart then decides to take a better look in what he hit.

Action: I choose the held item to look Iron.

Stopping in his tracks for a moment, Ventus decided some kind words were in order for this momentous event! "Blessed day it is indeed, for Swiftfire to evolve into the pinnicle of her power, into the mighty, brave, and bold Rapidash! My deepest congradulations, Nathan."

Nathan shakes his head.  "No, she's not at her strongest yet.  We've got a long ways to go before she can match Bo's Rapidash.  We'll get there eventually, though.  And we'll have fun doing it, won't we, girl?"

Nathan's completely forgetting that he's still the only one in the group (besides maybe Valder) who actually knows who Bo is, of course.

When they are close with the others. "It seems Nathan is happy with something. His Ponyta was big like that before?"

It doesn't take long for Nathan and Ventus to rejoin the others.  Swiftfire is quite happy with being 2 feet taller now.  Means she's not quite as close to that icky, murky, unfun swamp water.  And she's both bigger and stronger now, too! (Big enough for both Nathan and one other person to ride now) And also faster!  Those Steel and Ice types better watch out!  She'll be ready for them next time!

Nathan doesn't start the conversation, though.  Up to Heart and Shiva to do that.

Quick Flash Forward

Nathan ends up spending the remaining time in the day training.  Sort of.  Kirlia's focusing on his Psychic powers with the Pearl again.  Almost there...he could almost feel it...the power to hypnotize...it's so, so close...

Swiftfire's having fun showing off to Sarah and George, practicing her newly expanded control over fire to clear the area surrounding the group's campsite of grasses and muck.  Sarah, as usual, seemingly isn't impressed.  George is in awe, though.  As is Yule.

And Masq is also helping to clear the grasses, cutting them down with his Air Cutter!

Two training sessions for all 3 of these guys.  Kirlia learns Hypnosis (53 exp) if he accumulates 5 more exp, 2 of which are coming from the training!

Thanks to Braixen's keen sense of smell and enlightment of the path ahead by using his wand as a torch it indeed didn't take long for Shiva and Heart to run into the others of the group. Before theycame too close though and her magical fox got the chance to hiss at a familiar erratic researcher, he has been calmed by his Master and eventually recalled. Not before he received a proper Thank-You from her though!

The first thing Shiva realizes now that they all reunited washow hellish exhausted she actually was (spend a Will Point after all!), so she greatly appreciated a short break. The second thing was that Heart was right in his assumption, and now she was confirmed that this happy feeling indeed came from Nathan. Wasn't hard at all to notice, given he was bad at hiding any emotions, good or bad, as well as his fierly horse burning hotter and brighter than before.

Of course this earned him a delighted congrats and an appreciating pat on the shoulder, while internally, she was still wondering what was wrong yesterday... Eh, anyway, she decided to keep close watch for now instead of asking questions. "Hehe... Lucky you, Nathan... See, if we would have taken the other path, only Arceus knows whether we would be able to congratulate you now." ... "Besides, sometime later, you'd allow me to take a phto of your Unfeazant? It looks like a wildflower... I like that color sheme."

Of course this earned him a delighted congrats and an appreciating pat on the shoulder, while internally, she was still wondering what was wrong yesterday... But he smiles again when Shiva mentions Masq.  "Oh yeah, right, I haven't introduced you guys yet.  Masq, meet Shiva and Heart."

Masq coos, but it's merely a courteous greeting...from a safe distance away.  Unfezant typically only develop meaningful relationships with their trainer and/or mate, after all.

"Found him in the flower fields on the way here.  He loves hiding amongst the magenta flowers there.  Picked a whole basket of them to bring along since he decided to bring that flower he's holding right now.  Oh, and speaking of pictures, I've got a really good one I can send ya later.  Captured him in a Flash Ball."

"Its very a shiny. And unfezant is quite dificult to find in this type of place. Its good to meet you Masq." Then Heart notices the smile of Nathan. "I think its the ever first time I see you smiling Nathan. I dont want to ruin this warm so I abstent in make any pun, heh. Anyway, its a dificult battle out there so we might want to continue the path." A idea came to his mind. "Hey Nathan, I know it may strenge to ask but if you want test the strengh of Swifire, how about a little friendly battle. Rose would like very much to have a little spar with your Rapidash. Of course if you want."

Shiva is gathering a little more arrowroot when she hears a cry for help! It's coming from a black spruce fen, somewhat in the direction the group plans to travel. Judging by that cry, it's maybe a couple football fields away.

Well, Shiva was actually sure that she wouldn't have gotten a Vaporeon if the group would have taken the other path. Nevermind...

She also holds non-threatening eye contact to the bird for a few moments, silently returning his greeting. "Good call, I'd gladly have this picture sent over..." Almost she added something like how she wouldn't be able to get a good one on her own if this Pokemon prefers to keep its distance, but that'd only remind her on something unpleasant. He doesn't seem to have that...creature around currently... How relieving to know?
