Does anyone have Light Screen yet? I was talking with Phantom and thinking on how to interpret that move. I think it will have to be in the same way as Mirror Coat, where "Special" is interpreted to mean "Ranged." Same for Reflect.

I only do this for powerful or ambiguous moves. Something like Calm Mind will still just raise all Defense indiscriminately.

This would mean if the move used by the foe is a Special move in the official games, Light Screen repels it and reduces Damage dealt by 1, otherwise no effect? Now to think about, this could be pretty helpful yet rarely applicable outside of battle.

No, not yet, but Starmie could have learned Light Screen for 46 exp as a Staryu.

I do think I mentioned the issue with Light Screen and Reflect at an earlier point (I think during the Counter and Mirror Coat ruling?), and at the time, you said it would just be -1 damage for everything (which would be kinda silly since that's Aurora Veil's niche with the condition that it has to be hailing for that move to work).  I know it came up in Windos's campaign as well.

One problem with that, Nylon: Spirit and Phantom have already both said they want to participate in that slot, and the slot has a cap of 2.

No, not yet, but Starmie could have learned Light Screen for 46 exp as a Staryu.

Kyuu can have it if he gathers 8 more XP and it'll have +1 Priority if he evolves. Prankster. Muahaha!

I'm just going to allow it, even though I want to see Xp bidding. Someone could always fish at other spots in the swamp, just not the best one! If you want a guaranteed spot in the best fishing hole, though, you must bid XP.

If you'd want that to happen, bring up a Special Encounter of a Fairy Type Ven remembers without telling the species or even a Tandorian Fairy for two people, make sure that Ventus takes on that encounter and then watch mayhem happening, as I don't really know if his bond to Shiva is strong enough to abstain from seeking revenge or similar actions just because of her.
