[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
"Masq, that's enough attacking.  You've beaten them both."

Nathan looks at Heart now.  "Well, you're down 2, I'm down 1.  Could still go either way.  I can hold Masq back a little if you like.  He's surprisingly zealous despite his usual timidity, isn't he?"

Cottonee's Initiative: (2)

Heart simple smile. "Heh, its funny how things change quick in any side. I beat one of you signature pokemon, and one beat one of mine. Dont need to "Masq" your intentions Nathan Drake, because I going your Solomon can make a Solo(mon) music." Heat chuckle a bit. "Remember, we just begin now. Its far from over my friend."

"Oh yes, it's still far from over.  And it's Warren, not Drake."

Now that he's in a battle, Nathan's actually a lot more focused.  Particularly after Lucky Chant seemed to work...

"Well then, let's continue."

Solomon remains on the battlefield, but Masq is withdrawn. In his place, a scene of brief darkness, with the glowing ember of a Houndour with a pulsing pink brain! AHHHH!

On the other side, you'll be fighting Mudkip and Aron!

Orthros: (4)
Aron: (5) + 4 = 9
Slowking = 9
Mudkip: (2)

Issue orders accordingly.

"Houndour, thank you very much.  Well then, Orthros, let's show 'em what we're made of, disadvantage or no!"

Cottonee is fresh.
Kyuu is at 4/6hp, -1 Pain.
Crawdaunt is fresh.
Exeggutor is at 4/8hp, -2 Pain.
Foe is at -1 Vitality due to Leer.
We're battling without items and without fainting.

Seems like her fluffball adapted to the Espurr's eager to battle, as she almost immediately joined him practically glaring at that Exeggutor! It doesn't need much more to log it!

That in return was something Shiva immediately noticed. Braixen could have taken it down realtively easy, but then there was the threat of that waterly crab... Well, she decided to see how things develope before decing for the fourth Pokemon she'll involve in this battle. The most important thing for her was Kyuu enjoying some practicall usage of his psychic powers and Marill trying out her increased power in her Bubble Beam.

Having made her mind about that, her current Pokemon on the battlefileld received an impercible nod, they'll probably understand her without much words. The orders she gave them didn't mean many words either. "Go for a psychic fae wind, please, dear ones, and adapt to Crawaunt shall the palmtree fall."

Accuracy Roll Confusion 1 on Exeggutor: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 3 Channel - 2 Actions - 1 Pain = 5d6
Accuracy Roll Confusion 2 on Exeggutor: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 3 Channel - 3 Actions - 1 Pain = 4d6
Damage Roll: 3 Strength + 2 power of the move + 1 STAB = 6d6 -1damage due to NE
Additional notes: 1 CD to confuse. If Exeggutor is already out of the battle before Kyuu can pull off a second Confusion, a Scratch on Crawdaunt is it instead!

Accuracy Roll Fairy Wind 1: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 3 Channel - 3 Actions = 5d6
Accuracy Roll Fairy Wind 2: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 3 Channel - 4 Actions = 4d6
Accuracy Roll Fairy Wind 3: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 3 Channel - 5 Actions = 3d6
Damage Roll: 3 Strength + 2 power of the move + 1 STAB = 6d6
Additional notes: If Exeggutor is out of the battle before Cottonee has used all of her actions, go for MegaDraining Crawdaunt on it. It'll be SE.

Shiva means business here, yes.

Heart vs Nathan Round 3

Orthros is moving at the high speed Nathan's training is famous for! He runs here and there, positioning himself to land fire attacks on the Steel type.

Ember 1 on Aron
(4)(6)(4)(1)(1)(1)
Evasion: 3 Dex + 2 Fight +1 evasion -3 actions = 3d6
(6)(3)(3) The slow little armorball isn't fast enough to avoid being outflanked by the predator.
(5)(4)(5) Aron takes 3 dmg 3/6hp -2 pain
Burn: (2)

Obedience: (6) vs (5)(4)

Slowking's fourth move of the battle will be Confusion, not Water Gun as Nathan suggests.

Confusion 1 on Aron
(6)(2)(5)(5)(4)(6) I guess he knew that would be a critical hit.
Evasion: No dice. Heart's orders of evasion are just really unlikely to work against a faster opponent. Probably not a great strategy.
3 Str + 2 power + 1 stab + 2 crit - 3vit = 5d6 -1 Steel
(4)(3)(1)(4)(1) Aron takes 1 dmg 2/6hp -2 pain
Confusion: (6) Aron is confused.

Mudkip hasn't been targeted, so he paws the ground and whips up a Mud Slap. Mud is one thing that is not lacking here, so I'm going to give it a +1 dice bonus on attack and dmg.

Mud Slap 1 on Orthros
8 dice, -3 actions, +1 muddy terrain = 6d6
(4)(2)(3)(5)(5)(6)
3 Str +1 power +1 Stab +1 terrain -3 vit =3d6+1
(5)(4)(3) Orthros takes 3 dmg 3/6hp -2 pain
-1 accuracy

Ember 2
(3)(3) Orthros aims through the pain, but misses!

Aron's second move was also an evasion, so it's on to Slowking.

Obedience: (5) vs (4)(4)

Confusion 2
(6)(5)(1)(1)(4)
(6)(1)(2) No damage for Aron, thanks to his resistance.

Mudkip still hasn't been targeted. This is his natural habitat and he will not be daunted!

Mud Slap 2
(5)(1)(5)(2)(6)
(2)(1)(6) Orthros takes 2 dmg,so he's out of the fight.

Rock Tomb 3
8 dice, -5 actions, -2 pain = 1d6
(2) It misses.

Insight: (5) Luckily, he does not damage himself, having the presence of mind to dodge out of the way when Heart warns him he's loosed stones upon himself!

Solomon only declared two actions.

Mud Slap 3
(4)(5)(2)(2)
(3)(2) Thanks to Curse, no damage to Solomon. However, -1 Accuracy.

Heart will get XP for at least two victories, but Nathan seems to be well on track to winning the battle.

"That was a good try, Orthros. Guess you're still a little out of practice, unfortunately. Come on back now."

Nathan palms his next pokeball and gives Heart a rather...interested look as Orthros retreats.

"Not bad, Heart, not bad.  You're doing a decent job of keeping pace.  2 down on both sides now.  That Mudkip of yours is quite the little scrapper."
