[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
"We could do somethings to prevent some future threats, but you must prepare everyone in case another clysis appear. We dont know when that vines might return to attack or when that Claydol and that army of Tangrowth might attack again."

Forthright is old enough to understand her new name, but not the significance of it.

"The Tangrowth have made occasional forays toward the city, but they were easily defeated on a case-by-case basis."

"Who was this old man who labors at the Ends of the Earth? Should an embassy be sent to him for more information, now that we seem to have bought plenty of time?"

"I found several interesting things within the Skull Ruins. If you would like to sally forth into the Ruins, there is much to be learned and explored. Including...lots of dust and iron shavings and the remnants of a massive drill."

"Well from what we could understand, this old man was some kind of Sage, or something, who have some knowledge to tranform add the ground type for any pokemon, even if that Pokemon already have a second type, similar to Forest Curse. If you dont believe I can prove." Then Heart bring Gustav who have a appearance of a Ground/Water. "My Clauncher became Ground/Water because of that, and he was only water before our journey."

"...he's a bit more than a sage, Heart...the old man is, from what I can gather, a physical representation of an aspect of nature.  In this case, the earth and soil.  It's not difficult for him to grant a pokemon the Ground type in a fashion similar to Forest's Curse and Trick-or-Treat, and he has...ties to that Golem which Mesprit's message seems to refer to as the 'Disaster of Stone'.  He doesn't often let visitors into his End of the Earth.  Even we had to fight off a couple of his Ground types before we were allowed entry to his cave, which was located towards the top of a fang shaped peak at the most western edge of the Divide.  There were...a few things he said to us."

" First off, from the way he talked about things, Mesprit's definitely needed to fight that Golem, which seems to be related to one of Sarimanok's schemes based on the crown wearing Claydol you've seen.  I don't know what the crafty, long-dead king was planning, but I don't like it, whatever it is...but Mesprit might know, and definitely knows how to stop it...but the only way to wake Mesprit is...well, Kirlia has to become that 'sharer of unselfish love'...the Ends of the Earth were entirely unrelated to achieving that goal, so Mesprit still slumbers in its cavern..."

"Second...there was one condition he listed before he would fully commit his aid.  He asked everyone sans Ventus to spread the word that the Earthpower is alive and well, to respect the earth and soil, etcetera.  Basically, respect and protect nature so that its magic isn't lost to humanity's constructions and desires."

"...and third, he said this when we left: 'Don't come back.'  I'm sure as much as he enjoyed our company, he doesn't want unwanted visitors.  Probably best to leave him to his own devices unless we absolutely need to visit him again.  Which we shouldn't, since the only reason the vines are weakened is because he basically cut off his involvement in the situation.  No energy and fertility in the soil around the ruins means the plant life can't grow nearly as quickly and endlessly.  The number of Tangrowth should be drastically reduced as well."

...

"...he also asked if anyone had been digging in the ruins.  I don't know for certain if they were the cause, but Almanac had been claiming to be doing research in the Skull Ruins the day the vines started growing.  They'd blocked off the entirety of the entrance to Stair City via Route 4 with their base camp.  And the old man firmly stated that the only reason this golem would have woken up is because someone had dug too deep in the ruins...if that drill was theirs..."

Nathan has to resist the urge to squeeze Forthright tighter in anger. He didn't want to make her uncomfortable. Kirlia, however, clearly has some tightly balled fists, more than making up for Nathan's restraint.

"Hm, I feel like something doesn't quite add up there, but if it works it works. As for the soil, humanity has a duty to shape the environment to best provide for humanity, but we will certainly curb our activities around the Ruins and maintain alliance with this sage."

Dagny doesn't sound like she really believes in 'magic,' though that's not to say she disbelieves your tale.

"I know it sounds somewhat crazy, Dagny, but there's also the fact that we're sharing this planet with nature and everything in it.  We do have to consider our impact on that.  Horrible things happen to pokemon when humanity doesn't care about them and their habitats...whether its directly our fault or not...pokemon, at least, are something I think everyone can agree on as something that we need to be conscious of our decisions affecting.  They're a good chunk of what makes the natural world so...wondrous, after all.  Not to say what humanity has done isn't equally as spectacular on occasion, but...it can be hard to find a good balance..."

"Also some Almanacs scientists when we come to this City, was testing some type of drill machine dangerous close to the Skull Ruins, and that might be a hint that Almanac might cause that disaster, intentional or not. And when we return to that, I take a conversation with a SteelWorker who I work before who say something disturbing and suspicious: "The official story is a couple workers got scared by the vines and left. There is a nasty rumor that a few people in the orgazimation died, though." If this is not suspicious, I dont know what is." Say Heart to talk the information he get.

"I'm more inclined to agree with Dagney's stance on the matter, Nathan. Conservational efforts and due diligence to how we affect the environment are important if both humanity and Pokémon can coexist peacefully, but at the same time we must remember that in order to survive we must prioritize mankind's needs first. We can not enjoy or preserve nature if we are struggling against it, or are found wanting for more resources from it, after all. For now, avoiding development of the area around the ruins and paying.....'respect' to the forces involved seems to be the ideal compromise, not to mention a most prudent and wise one if anybody wishes to avoid a repeat of this disaster....or worse."

"Uhm... I would agree to this."
Shiva prefers not to share her thoughts and simply listen and observe the situation, but this was the first time she actually spoke in this conversation. Even if it was in a lower voice.

"...there's more to what he said than just the ruins.  Yes, that's probably a good place to start, but this isn't the first time humans have royally screwed with the natural order of things, accidental or on purpose.  I'm well aware we need to keep our own interests in mind too, but he wants us to be more mindful of our impact.  I don't think anyone truly wants to live in a world without pokemon, or one where, Arceus forbid, the pokemon have turned against us."
