[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
I'm certainly interested in leveling-up Intimidate-Speciality. For in-chara reasons, and for more howling of her fox and butterwolfly. ^^

The plot was really cool, with a mysterious physicist hinted at behind almost everything important. It felt awesome, like Cave Johnson in Portal II. Like we knew every clue would come back to the Elliot family, but we were never sure how!

And then the plot was based on Midsummer Night's Dream, but everything was technology instead of magic. Ventus would hate it lol. The FAE were "Fabricated Autonomous Constructs" - cubes that projected an elven avatar. The elves lived in what is basically hyperspace, in the tail of a comet.

Just all in all really cool, and all the roleplaying went great. I wish I could say the dice rolling went great too, but it did not.

I'm sorry for the late reply, I had to leave keyboard unexpectadly! But this sounds indeed really great, and I enjoy the novel of Midsummer's Night Dream a lot. Elves living in the tail of a comet! <3

Oh, @Lord Windos, you're not stopping by at the Almanac's floor? I'll edit my posts then a little.
'Beloved cuddly researcher'... Lol. Green tweed feels nice to touch to her.

Nah, I don't want to risk Ventus getting any bad ideas from all the moral dubiousness, like suggesting to Nathan maybe Porygon Z and Rotom could have a leasurely stroll in and out of the floors' electronics, or Reshirim forbid him actually approving of some of them! Unova rather....heavy handed when it comes to Pokémon Research and training, after all, so Almanac might be right up their ally...

How hilarious that Shiva does feel fine with actually buying items from them. All for Science and her own enjoyment!

The main reason nobody really wants to buy their Items is a combination of bad PR (for our group, at least) and the various sinister/dubious effects they have that either defeat the purpose of the benefit or make it unpalatable to stomach. For instance, I would have bought their Fast Incubator if Iron didn't all but explicity say via the receptionist that doing so would be a bad idea for the newborn's Loyalty/Happiness/Personality . If they were rather upfront about their Items being so SCIENCED! that it will have SCIENCE!effects on Pokémon and DIDN"T cause the Vines Disaster, my chara might be more charitably inclined to do business with them...

If that does not work, I advise you to find some caretaker outside the Shelter to take care of it, as more peaceful and calm atmosphere will do the senstive Egg well."

In my mind, an image of Shiva caring for that egg appears, while it's safely is ensured by the Ninetailes-scarf and Cottonee- + Primal-Altaria-Fluff she owns, all while playing that thump harp.

@Iron, it seems like we'll get to the trading of Beartic + Pineco (which will come right after the visit of the Held Item's Floor) the new year then as I'll be busy for some hours now and by then you probably have locked the threads. Wishing you all a Happy New Year, stay safe and well, see you all then.

It's less 'the force' and more 'Shiva combined with several other factors completely ground Nathan's self confidence into dust'.

Oh, you watched some Star Wars yesterday as well? Neat!

Uh oh, looks like Nathan's been found out!  Not that it was hard to guess, right?

It disturbs me slightly that they seem to be working with the Aether Foundation in some capacity, if they have access to a modified version of Beast Balls...I would assume the Aether Foundation wouldn't want to associate themselves with a company that blatantly just doesn't care for pokemon.  Though maybe Gladion didn't do enough research on Almanac before approving whatever deal was made...(timeline for this campaign is primarily using Sun and Moons' events, not USMs')

Well, Nathan has his 'special' reasons to dislike them as well besides the bad PR.  How they ever found enough of a foothold to get their business started in Creshire of all places, he might never understand...

Even if Almanac was more upfront with their items having 'unintended' side effects, Nathan would probably still vehemently dislike/hate them.
