That caused the smile Shiva kept hidden inwards so far to carefully emerge to the surface. Aww, flattery!~ It's almost always super effective on her, in the positive way.

A part of his words made her half-freeze in any movement, though. She...did not expected that Sid had already been at the Tusk once... Long ago, but HE WAS, whoahw. The first skepticism Shiva held was breaking down more and more, but only the upcoming battle to see how he handles his own Pokemon will make her agree to the trade.

Even his skin reminded on clay, having an od dark orage-red tone alongside deeply white hair and mustache. I name that person an eremit, but I'm actually not 100% sure whether he's human at all... Doesn't matter though. Different issue! He was friendly to u- the group of travelers. Answered all their questions they had, showing us his crafts of forming the earth out of clay. The interesting this was that he doesn't do that via hand like we would. It's all...audible, via commands. He seems - no, he does - deeply care about the soil, more than he cares about himself, I guess."

At this point, Solomon pops out of his pokeball!  He'd missed the whole thing, so he wanted to hear about it now!

"...heh...sorry about that, Solomon...was a bit too focused on hatching Forthright's egg, I guess...I'll get to the story in a moment, after introductions...mom, this is Solomon.  He was...particularly interested in that part of the message.  I...evolved him near where Mesprit's hiding place is...if you look closely, there's actually an Unown symbol on his crown...it's Old Unown, but it's the letter K from what I've managed to decipher of the script so far with his help..."

Pyroar licks Ventus' hand. His tongue is extremely rough, and it kinda hurts, but it doesn't draw blood.

Then it leans on Ventus until he is sitting on the ground, whereupon the big Pokemon curls up into his lap. Ventus receives the impression that the cat Pokemon needs some assurance that he won't be abandoned by humans.

The researcher actually lets out a bemused chuckle at the forceful affections he was receiving from the big friendly puddy cat, both to express his genuine happiness for such gestures and to let him know he was perfectly fine with it. "Ha ha ha! Some might find your affections a bit rough for their taste, but I don't mind them at all! I've worked and played with Rough Skin Gibles species and Druggedions before, so you don't restrain yourself on my behalf! I'll be here for you so long as you want me, Pyroar, and the same can be said of the staff here at the Shelter, so please don't worry your about being left wanting. I'll even spend the whole day with you if you desire, so let's enjoy each other's company, shall we?" Ventus said, before he began gently brush his both of his hands through the fire lion's mane/body, paying special attention to the spots that ellict the most positive reactions.

It's Infestation, the vengeful Plague move! It prevents a Pokemon from fleeing and deals damage over time. What do you think?"

Director North comes in and chuckles at your predicament. He leaves and returns with a brush. "Pyroar prefers to be brushed anywhere that's not near his neck, belly, or tail. The outer parts of his mane are OK. He's actually due for a trim soon because long hair makes him itchy. This is a great way to spend your first day back - should be pretty relaxing unless you upset him!"
