Kyubi takes one long look at you after you uttered that statement, until a sad frown tugged as her head tilted downward, and any protests she had die before they could be issued. "......Alright, Master. If you are worried about my safety with your cousin, I'll stay here with the others.... I don't like not being by your side, but I don't want to distract or burden you while meeting her either....."

"...thank you for understanding, Kyubi.  I promise you I'll try my best to come back unharmed.  I hope to be back before nightfall, but I don't know exactly how long this is going to take, unfortunately."

...Reiner looks a tad bit more uncomfortable now, though...

"...there's...one other matter I have to talk to you about, though.  It's...related to why I don't want you in immediate danger right now."

She didn't look/feel assured by your words, as the both of you know that dealing with your cousin won't be all Pecha Berries and Roserades, but she never the less gives you a *Hummm* of agreement. "...*sigh*...I'm going to be blunt.  That health test Mr. Mime did?  Well...it was a pregnancy test.  And the results came back Positive.  Mr. Mime wants to run a more thorough test to make absolutely sure, but...well, this happened before you..."

Stunned, bewildered speechlessness was the best way to describe her reaction. Slowly, Kyubi sat back down on the bed, hands bracing her legs as she did so and craning her head to look at her stomach. Her gaze was deeply confused and uncertain....and yet you could detect just the faintest traces of wonder at this development.

"....H-how? I...was dead when I had this child, yes? That....that should have killed it, along with Old Kyubi , but....its still here. The child of Archie and Old Kyubi, growing within me....."

"...when you died, Archie made a deal with the one who killed you, as she is a businesswoman first and foremost.  He gave her a boatload of money, and she cryogenically froze you ASAP, perfectly preserving you so that the two of you could be buried together.  When your remains were brought in so Mew could trade Archie's life for yours, she commented that they were in basically the same condition as when you had died, so that might have saved the child.  Or maybe there's something screwy with the revival process that revived the kid too.  I don't know, and I'm not sure I ever will.  Regardless, it's another thing to throw on the pile of urgent issues."

"O-Oh. Those are....good possibilities. Its still so.....surreal to learn that....that I'm going to have a child. This Sunday. I...I don't have any memories or experience how to....to care for a child , and...and I'm not sure my instincts will help me here. *Whimpers* ......"

"Yes.....I'll go find Mr. Mime and have him.....have him give me that examination, alright Master.....?"

Her posture is tense and worried, but you don't feel like she's about to have a breakdown over this news. Deeply rattled by it, yes, but mental breakdown is not likely unless you exaserbate her worries even more.

Kyubi stared at you like she was lost at sea, until your reassuring touch, words, and empathy gave her gave her guidance like the flashing lamp of a lighthouse. She carefully raised one hand from her laps, and tendly intertwined it with you hand on her shoulders, giving you an weak but real smile and a shaky nod of her head.

".....Alright. Yes.....yes I....I can handle this, no matter what Mr. Mime or the doctors tell me. Especially.....if you are with me, helping me out like...like you always have been. T-Thank you....thank you for everything, Reiner."

She then slowly removes your hand from hers, and stands back up, walking towards the door with her Illusion disguise already back in place as she reached the door. Her head reached for the door knob, but before she open it and began her search and examinations, she gave you one last smile, this one a little stronger than the last, and told you: "Good luck with Clair, my love."

Then, she was gone.

...gah, hearing that still makes him somewhat uncomfortable...

...he'd promised to be there for her, though.  He wasn't going to let anything bad happen to her if he could avoid it.

Alright, back down to the Living Room, then...time to tell Angelica and Riza the plan...hopefully Emily was keeping herself busy elsewhere for the time being...

By the time you get yourself re-composed and ready to kick some ass/calm your cousin's ass down, you make your way back to the Living Room, finding Angelica lookly sharply dressed in her uniform sitting by her lonesome (and was quick to stand to attention and snap you a greeting + salute). Emily was long gone by this point, and Riza was nowhere to be seen. You don't detect the insectoid woman lingering in the shadows; perhaps she's still caring for Arial, despite he being rather undeserving of such attention right now?
