Next Instructions still come tomorrow, it's almost 2am here and I need a bit of rest by myself.

Don't blame me, blame the dice!  Nathan's actually complimenting her, Yena, and Litwick here!  This is a VERY good strategy that Shiva is using, and Orthros was at a SEVERE disadvantage there!  Nathan's actually having fun with this now, and not just because he's 'winning'.

I will tell you now, Phantom, Orthros is NOT evading during the next round.  PERIOD.  Shiva can have her 'revenge', as Nathan's accomplished what he needed to (for the most part.  Forthright is still up in the air, but Yena and Orthros both being happy is helping a lot)

For once, I'm on Dragonstrike's/Nathan side in this instance. He's playing at a severe disadvantage while being a good sport/fair about it, while you have all the advantages in the world. The boy is genuinely enjoying the battle for what it is, not because he's winning, and like he said dice luck has been favorable for him in this Encounter. Nathan is being a good boy (joke intended), basically, so I don't see why he and Dragonstrike are getting Aaaaalll the hate right now. Save that when they bollucks up something fairly significant between themselves and the group/someone else important, alright? Alright, carrying on with Fun Times now!

Plus, considering how badly Nathan's flopped some of his prior battles (and Beldum getting absolutely obliterated despite Nathan's best efforts to avoid that in the tiny, floating magnet's first battle and also first major interaction with Nathan), not getting completely steamrolled is helping to rebuild his confidence, even if he loses.

Besides, Orthros is 12 exp away from learning Flamethrower.  I think it's rather obvious why I want THAT move in Orthros's arsenal currently, and the sooner I get it, the sooner I can focus on getting a different move for a different pokemon.

Alright, still stopping by. I admit I've been too hard here, it was just somewhat demeaning when both me and my chara have been so sure that Yena will defeat the partly Psychic Type, as well as the spending of Will Point has not brought that success. We'll get over it, but now with being bitten by snake once again, I won't repeat same mistakes anymore. Or so I hope.

I still have a few a few aces up in sleeve, though, and I don't want to KO Orthros on purpose just for victory over him. That feels mean.

Just how the cookie crumbles sometimes, unfortunately.  Can always happen in anything that's RNG based.

- Good news is Orthros is really low on the initiative roll, so it's the best possible odds of 50-50 to outspeed him and remove him from the fight before he can do anything more.  Or you could just use Fake Out, I guess.  Seriously, Orthros is as disadvantaged as he's going to get.
- While Nathan's strategy has been simple yet effective, it's mostly because of the specific conditions that came about.  Evading is REALLY good in single battles when you have large dice pools and your opponent doesn't, in contrast to doubles/facing many pokemon at once, where evading everything is near impossible to pull off because you can get focus targeted and hit by spread moves.  Nathan's going to have a MUCH harder time against those Canalize based rolls of Shiva's when they don't have an accuracy penalty, so he's not going to be able to exploit it as much (if he even wanted to in the first place.  I only employed the tactics here because it was for both in-character reasons and the only way to have a chance of pulling off this rather low odds feat).
- Yes, Shiva's not super battle oriented, and that's fine.  No matter what happens with the result of this battle, she's doing exactly what Nathan asked her to do.  No need to shun him in the future just because he seems 'unbeatable'.  He's learning, and will back off on his own for varying reasons.  The Little Cup thing was something I wanted to experiment with, and I'm happy to say that I'm rather pleased with the results so far.  And ya know what?  I'm so pleased with it, if the Little Cup is still being held, Nathan won't be participating, and will be cheering Shiva on instead.  Yes, he'll specifically take time out of his day to do that if the opportunity arises.

Good to hear.  Looking forward to seeing how things proceed from here.

She won't 'shun him', but I still don't feel like battling Nathan again for quiiiiiite a while and not without a reason  and special conditions, as it's not only that semi-unbeatable thing, but also because it seems like battles 'gainst him give her quite an up-and-down on emotions and are plain tirering for her. Nothing against him personally, he is doing fine so far in this battle and keeps it friendly and enjoyable, which is appreciated.

Wait a moment, WHAT?! Are you actually serious about that...? K, this came unexpected, but if you've made up your mind about not participating but cheering instead... Cool. Sadly, it won't bring her to forgive and forget past issues, but it'll certainly help those two getting along somewhat better. For example, she'll autoagree to Tutoring of Electroweb then (might still ask for in-chara reasons why he wants her to do that, but mostly out of curiosity), I've also found a better thing Nathan can do instead of training three of her Pokemon during the same Encounter Slot. Some sort of small task that he'll hopefully agree to.

But Heart will problably participate after he evolve Tynamo to Eelektrik. He want to see what kind of people (and rare pokemon) he will see there.

- Nathan shouldn't need to battle her for awhile.  A rematch with Ventus MIGHT be on the agenda since he hasn't properly battled him with all his new tricks and stats yet, but that won't be any time soon.

- As I said, Nathan's learning.

- Oh?  Well, interested in seeing what you have in mind when that comes up, then...

Eelektrik is not allowed in Little Cup though.

Why not?

Because he's an evolved Pokemon, same why sweet Marill is not allowed to participate and I've been doing such a big deal out of my Espurr possibly evolving when we trained Light Screen. Only Pokemon that have not evolved yet but CAN evolve are allowed, means Basic Forms.
