Princess immediately lands on Nathan's face. Time to pay up.

"Mmmmmmffff!!!"

With Princess landing on his face of all things, it's pretty difficult to say anything.  Or see what the heck he's doing so he can put Forthright down somewhere and grab something out of his bag.  So it's not exactly very easy for him to compensate her...seems like he needs a little help.

...Whoahw. She was actually not sure anymore at all who would end standing there as the winner of this practice, but it seemed like her Comite already decided. It won against a Grass Type, it decided this battle-practice to her favour - Shiva needed a moment to actually realize what it meant as Yule was staggering and stepping back after that Rock Throw hit her.

When her mind has finally processed this, it made room for a pleasant feeling of joy and satisfaction - She won...against Nathan even, despite she knows he is clearly the one with more battle experience... Litte Cup may come, after tonight Shiva felt ready to take part and possibly even shine. It'll be hard, but the rules are actually not playing against her, remembering how many of her 'stronger' Pokemon are either with her for quite a while now and used to friendly competition or blessed with a hidden potential or a special niche that makes them irreplaceable in certain situations.

Shiva folded her hands to give a short but honest 'Thank you' to Reshiram and Victini for their assistance and favour, before stepping beside her astral rock who was still eagerly on the battlefield. It showed that goat to not mess with it or Master, hah! It's expression was still unreadable, but mentioned Master could clearly feel not only that cosmic energy running through it, but also that pride and delight that it emitted as she went down to be almost on eye level with it, before giving Comite a very appreciating smile and stroke over the pinkish crystal that made up part of its rocky body. Comite leaned into Shiva's hand, increasing that subtle happiness and thankfullness she felt. "Very well done, my astral rock. ...Comite. Maybe you could use a better name, a nickname, we'll see... Thank you. That last Rock Throw was AWESOME, let's do more such things in actuall Lil' Cup!~You're doing fine? ...Mostly? Well, you can stay out of your Ball while we bring the others to a Healing Machine in the Center. Ah, you will of course be exposed to its aura and waves as well. It's not like in space, I know... But your place is now here, with me." Comite received one more smile and eager pet, before Shiva got up again to actually face Nathan. ...Looks like he's having some issues, as his female Combee desired for his attention rather strongly. Hmmm...
Walking up to him alongside Comite, Shiva playfully ordered motioned it to use another Rock Throw, Comite eventually obeyed by pretending the preparation to shoot another rock projectile on that bee. If this won't chase her off and set her Master free, Shiva can still just carefully nudge her and hint that her Master might appreciate not having a Combee in his face.

As soon as Nathan had a clear eyesight again, he would see that Shiva was faintly smiling and offering him a hand to shake. "That was a good practice, actually, indeed tiering and exhausting for me, but no comparison to..the last one. Yule did a fine job, it seems like my Comite was eventually faster and more eagerly to get a move on... Now then, shall we head to the GPC to heal our Pokemon up? I'd actually desire for a little rest by myself in dorm, I also heard that Heart would make dinner tonight!~"

Along the way, Shiva had two questions to him. Nathan can answer as they were making their way through the park of GPC, Comite was trotting beside its Master, probably earning one or two weird looks from passengers who have never seen such a Pokemon(?) before. "A Grass Type like your Skiddo could have easily won against a Rock Type like my Comite..." Shiva stares up to the sky, as if she's pondering or searching for more Comite up there. "Would you have exploited this if Rock Throw would have missed? Oh... And, a different thing..." She looks down to watch the path again. "It's the 1st of May today... I've been in city, but I haven't seen anything that would hint that it's that date. That...makes me wonder, is the 1st of May not celebrated in Chresire? There was always a parade on this day in Castelia City... Are there any important national holidays that a Non-Chresherian should know about?"


(I'm letting Nathan answer during walking and he is fine to ask any questions or talk in return, so as soon they've arrived the Lobby of GPC and have given their Pokemon to a Nurse Joy on duty, Shiva bid Nathan good night for now shall he not desire to eat dinner with them all, or a see you later if he'll attent. Pancham is not given to Nurse Joy, he will have restored 5hp overnight and join in a new small morning ritual with her Master. He can sleep all cuddled up to Cottonee-fluff and the blanket at the end of bed.)

Has she forgotten to lock it? Damn! Uhm, anyway, she carefully opened it an took a peek into the room, seeing whether... Oh. It was as she hoped was the cause for the not-locked door, Ventus was back meanwhile. What a delight to see him, Shiva wasn't afraid anymore to step into the room and close the door behind her, only to shortly after take a seat at the edge of the bed, sighing impercible. That practice-battle was fruitful, some first attempt of dabbling in brawling with her Pancham was...fun too, but all in all it was exhausting.

Shiva put a streak of hair back into place, not really looking at Ventus at first as she spoke. "How neat that you're back again, Ven, I've been...already wondering why the door wasn't locked as I didn't expected finding you here. How was work at the Shelter?" Now she actually faced him in a delighted and curious expression, knowing that... "I'll, uhm, start there tomorrow as well... Can you wake me when you're getting up and head there together then after breakfast? Maybe? Please...?"

Yeah, Princess doesn't like that rock.  She lets out a rather scared, extremely agitated BZZZZ!!! and books it, not wanting to get absolutely brutalized by the complete overkill of getting hit by a rock move at 1 HP.  Somehow, Forthright's still napping.  

Nathan blinks a few times as Princess flies as faaaaaarrrrr away from that one-eyed rock as possible, Zippy nimbly going after her in a hurry.

...he takes it.  It's a firm yet comfortable grip, if slightly nervous.  Shiva might notice his hands are just a tad rougher than usual.

Nathan doesn't really say anything at first.  He...still doesn't remember what happened last time.  Not sure he wants to, really.  The dinner comment warrants a response.  "...well, as long as it's not soup using wild ingredients, I guess I'm down for some dinner..."

It's a quiet walk back for the most part.  Orthros is quietly walking beside Nathan much like how Comite is doing so with Shiva, Forthright's getting the rest her little eyes need ('Guess she didn't really find the battle that interesting after all...')...Zippy's probably trying to calm down Princess somewhere in the park...Yule's just happy Swiftfire wasn't around to see how that battle went.  He's rather embarrassed about losing to a rock of all things...

Shiva's first question for Nathan gives him a little pause.  Does he tell her?

"...I did say I was going to try my best to win, no?  Heh...Comite was only barely reacting faster than Yule was.  One Bulldoze to set it off balance, and Yule would have had the advantage (would have lowered Comite's Dex to 2, decreasing its initiative to 9, meaning Yule would be going first due to having higher Dex), could have gotten in another attack or two before Comite could have acted...would have probably won the battle as long as Yule struck true with Vine Whip..."

He goes quiet again...

"...guess that wasn't happening...*sigh*...seriously, though, well done.  Haven't had a battle that good in ages..."

The next question is a bit of a surprise for Nathan.  She's...actually asking him about something that falls under his research specialty?  Dang it, if he wasn't holding a sleeping Castform right now, he'd have pulled out his journal and flipped through it...

"...uh...well, there's...the date the League was established, when they overthrew the Last King...that was...September 27th.  Kind of a big deal for the entire region, but there's...several ways to celebrate it (think independence day type stuff, but with a Guy Fawkes type thing where some people hate on Sarimanok while others are slightly more positive about his rule)...it's sorta like when the Twin Heroes finally ended the war they began in Unova, or when the Ultimate Weapon ended the Kalosian War, but...not...there's one similar to Valentine's Day, but with more of a focus on a trainer's bond with their pokemon...that one's later this month on the...20th.  I think it's got some Mamo origins, involves some Apricorn stuff if you can get your hands on some raw apricorns...there's also...June 15th.  That's the day when we pay our respects to the Legendaries that created this region and helped it flourish in the first place.  Then there's...well, all the usual secular holidays as well.  Valentine's, Thanksgiving, Halloween, Christmas (as far as the pokemon world's variant goes, that is)..."

"...so, uh...yeah.  And then there's all sorts of local ones as well in some of the towns and cities.  Ginger Town has its seasonal festivals, Elanor does some stuff during the summer due to their connections to the sun, there's a coming of age ceremony in Charring Cross for those who have noble ancestry...stuff like that."

Shiva tries hard to mentally note all these festivities Nathan mentioned to later note the dates in her own star-patterned journal, she was eager to listen to Nathan and just kept on ignoring Orthros walking beside him. That's the way it is, that's they way it'll be, ever.

Some sort of Valentine's day for one's own Pokemon feels like the best idea ever if you'd ask Shiva, she'll probably end up making and gifting self-made Poffins to her own Pokemon and send a few home for Spectral. Festivities concerning the sun in Elanor excite her, Nightshade and her Fire Types would probably enjoy this. "Thank you for all that info, Nathan!~ Good strategy, by the way. I guess. Well, see you then at dinner, take care of yourself~"

...it's a pretty lonely wait since Kirlia's snoozing away in the PC...well, at least Forthright seems to be comfortable...

Before Shiva made her way back to the Pokémon Center and approached her/his room, Ventus was sedately sitting at the room's table, scribbling......poems? in his notebook, while Hanael lay by his feet and acted as a space heater , and Abaddon explore their new room to his heart's content. He decided to spend the rest of the day laying low after that shaky battle with the fair lady he fought (and whose number he'd gained....)  , and what better way that hanging out with his somewhat overlooked family members and practicing some writing while waiting on Shiva to return for the evening/night? This is why he left their door's room unlocked instead of re-locking it once he stepped in, after all!

Eventually, when his dearest friend did make her way to his room, the empath immediately picked up on this, as well as the exhaustion and the sense of.....triumph . Ventus put away his notebook and turned to face the door, and when she walked right in half distracted/half tired, he gave them the sweetest, most soothing smiles he was capable of making on such short notice! "Salutation, dear! It heartens me to see that your day has been sastifactory up until now,  but it also appears it has worn on you too, so far as I can detect. If you don't mind, would you mind sharing what has caused this weary yet....oddly invirgorated feeling, dear? As for my early return to our room, I desired an early respite day after a through but enjoyable day comforting that Pyroar at the shelter, so I would be fully ready to resume my appointed duties tomorrow! Oh, and of course I'll awaken you when I arise early in the morn and share breakfast with you, Shiva! Can't miss the important meal of the day nor our jobs at the Shelter, after all!"
