[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins

Oh snap!  That puts her Loyalty at 4!  Whoo!  No need to worry about a super disobedient Vespiquen when she evolves!

Wanted to talk about my plans for Stair City.

Since two people are confined to two encounter slots per day, I'd like to move away from that encounter slot model and sort of focus on the interesting parts.

So after this day, don't do any 'grinding.' If you want to have a battle for character development, that's perfectly fine. And Ventus and Heart should still have their battle if they wish. But just for XP, I don't want to roll out too many more of those in Stair City.

To make up for this, the Little Cup will start soon. It will take place over a few in-game days and take place in the evenings after trainers are home from work. That means the Daycare folk can still participate. Matchups happen throughout the evening, so you can also explore the city and take care of any business you need to attend.

The Little Cup is single-elimination with cash prizes, but you can find things to do around the Little Cup to earn money or interact with NPCs and stuff. There will be more to do than just watch battles.

Well, that's nice for me and Phantom to hear, since it prevents us from being perpetually being left behind for most of the day in the future! Unfortunately, I have no desire to participate in the Little Cup, due to two reasons: the basic format of the premise itself, and I don't want to end up competing against Phantom or Spirit in the fight. The vast majority of my Pokémon are fully evolved or partially so, and Ventus has no desire in this case to ask for loan Pokémon to fill out his team to participate in a tournament that heavily restricts what he can bring to the table, so he's not participating . If anything, he'll probably just tutor Abaddon, Haneal, and Lucifer everyday after work, unless he/I have other engagements that day.

In this case how I will get money to buy things: Items, TM's, remeds for my pokemon and more important XP for my Pokemon. Also different of the others, my pokemons still in their first form, except for Rose. Also the Little Cup system dont atract me too much since I dont like hold the evolution of others Pokemon just to participate (I looking at you Ceasar and Tynamo). And there the fact about one thing: I dont join everyone since the beggining of the campaigh, only in the middle, so I not even half strong as the others, nor have the moves that I need to have a "strong" and more "solid" team.

I accelerated your XP gain and it's on a curve anyway, so you are hardly any weaker than the others by now. Your exposure to Pokemon is lower though, that's true.

This is an RPG, so there should be no need to grind, and you shouldn't think of it that way. Since we're fast forwarding past all those grindy battles, you will simply get to the next big event faster, giving you access to rewards and new Pokemon. The rewards for questing are an order of magnitude greater than battling - look at your Nugget.

There was no chance Tynamo would evolve by tomorrow anyway. He needs lots of time to practice using energy. So it's not halting his evolution to participate in the Cup. And Caesar is already ineligible.

But don't worry, there will be several things to do for those who aren't battling (sounds like just Shiva is participating, which will make it go even faster).

What, in the end it's just me being excited for participating in Little Cup? Lololololololol. I guess this will INDEED her chance to shine in some way.

I gladly say again that Shiva owns a jolly Plusle-Minun pair that is bursting with self-produced electricity when they're together due to their ability-combo being triggered, and she'd let Tynamo interact/hang out with them shall there be desire, @Spiritmon. Same with Joltik. 'When' is the question, as she'll be rather busy the next in-game Days it seems.

Also, we're somewhat forgetting someone concerning participating or not in in-game Little Cup... It's @Nylon. So, are you interested in taking part? Only two Pokemon are required to participate, which I guess you have with Theo and Froakie. Feels like a good combo. Info here.
