[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

Gothitelle immediately experiences a vision, projecting it through warped space onto the roof.

The stars of the four constellations...they no longer conjoin. The vines are no longer part of their vision.

Gothitelle smiles and gives Shiva a tiny nod.

What an excellent timing, and while the sudden coming of a vision was something Shiva wouldn't have expected, she awefully stopped on her way to approach Gothitelle and let that vision happen and being figuratively taken to space once again. It was probably better that Ventus was not around, saves him from headaches. In contrary to him she had not much of an issue with these visions, in fact she welcomed them somehow. They felt, well, let's say interesting.

Shiva rather quickly recognized this as the same vision that happened when they learned about this special Gothitelle during that Tour through Shelter (oh sweet memories back then when the Vines didn't caused a ruccus to the city yet), it was obvious that these Vines are not present anymore. This not only delighted Shiva but also made her both think and silently thank that Earthpower-eremit up there in the cave of the Tusk - Wonder how he's doing? Was he working at his clay station right now using these funny accoustic orders more than his hands? ...Would he agree that Sid was a worthy owner for that Beartic?

Noticing that Gothitelle does remember her and on top of that seemingly has taken the evacuation relatively well - has she already seen this coming and therefor mentally prepared for the move? - rejoiced and wondered Shiva even more, eventually faintly returning that smile. "I'm greeting you too - it's sweet to see that you're doing fine, Lilith. Yes, get used to that name, as the one of the elusive Black Moon will be yours. Hard to define and and even harder to interpret, but it cannot be denied that there is power and energy behind your feminine appearance, threathening those that are ignorant enough to not take you for full. You're fine with me calling you like that?"

I do remember these constellations, and I tell you that we were successful on ending the threath of the Vines with some help. When work is over and the Plusle (and Minun) are exhausted, it is time for the Little Cup!

Heart will be facing Cooltrainer Oz, and Shiva will be facing Breeder Wendy.

The tournament has not attracted as many viewers as a stronger battle would, but nevertheless there are hundreds of people here watching! Apparently the thing to do is to hang ribbons from 10' poles and wave them about. Different colors of ribbons can be used to represent your favorite competitor's Pokemon.

There are also lots of breeders and traders here!


The gentleman in purple silk from the Shelter is in the crowd - Shiva spots him at once. He's examining someone's Smoochum and scratching his goatee.

Maybe to Shiva's surprise, Nathan's not prepping for a battle this evening at all.

He ends up walking with her aaaallll the way to the Little Cup...and then splits off to go join those watching her battle.  Kirlia waves at her as they head to the stands and quietly take their seats.

Grid's present too. He's sitting on Nathan's shoulder, happily sucking away what static electricity he can.

Heart was a little nervous about this competition since he didnt expect so many people to watch. He see Shiva in the competition and wave his hand to her. "Hey Shiva! Lets have a good challenge would ya? But lets a fun battle!" Then Heart stops and thinks for a second. "Huh, so this is some kind of challenge of speed to get that ribbons. In that case speed is something essencial." Then Heart takes Koa pokeball. "Its your time to shiny Koa. Go!" Then Heart bring Koa his always confident dragon.

The ribbons tradition is for members of the crowd. Like waving a flag to support your favorite team.

"Hmm.....agreed. If the Unknown dislike the slab we unearthed from the Wall, I'll just find another one of superior or sufficiently differently quality than this one tomorrow, so I'm not too worried! These Pokémon may be inscrutable at times, but in the end if one takes the time to work to understand them, they are not so incomprhenesible as some might think! After all, they have their own personality and desires like everything else in this world! "

"......Not presently, as I have other priorities I need to focus before brushing up on my rusty and most likely decrepid knowledge on ancient languages, but someday I'll take you up on that offer. At the very least you can teach me the what the symbol of Old Unknown generally look like, so I can record messages for you if I happen to run across them while separated. I'm not unashamed to admit my specialties lie in understanding the minds and hearts of Pokémon and their relationships and behaviors towards others, so I'm certainly glad to have someone with the necessary skills and friends to help decipher the old legends and the language they are inscribed in!"

Eventually after they vetted the blank old slab, Ventus deposited in the wheelbarrow with care so as not to shatter it by chance, and together with Nathan and co they returned to the Shelter. When the empath saw/felt the Unknown trio's content ease at their new home, he couldn't help but kindly smiley at helping somebeing in need once more, before he commented on the short conversation Director North had with the young trainer.

"Perhaps its as you implied, Director: those two Unknown have already found a home here at the Shelter. They certainly they don't find your and the staff care wanting, in any case! Hmm.....tomorrow I am more than willing an able to escort the Unknown left behind to the Ruins to see whether or not it wants to stay or go, so that is one case to be resolved!"

Ventus then broached the topic on his night shift to North, saying: "Since I've accomplished so field work for the day, I would like to get started on catching up the Shelter on the backlog of adoption paperwork it has, sir! Just lead me to it and I'll get right on demolishing it into a far more manageable !"

*Flashback End, and spending that Will Point in order to get through the double shift! He has 3 left now!*

EDIT: Oh, and if its possible, I'd like for Ventus to check up on Kingdra to see how he's doing, and chat/re-affirm his promise to them, if that is alright Iron!

Fuuuuu, that smile from Gothitelle spoke a lot, or so Shiva felt. That Unovian Psychic already knew. She already knew. ALREADY KNEW! My, they are capable to read in the stars when their Owner/Trainer will die, so knowing about the victory over vines and how Shiva will come back to see her were likely no issue at all for that smart Pokemon. Shiva caught herself mulling and occassionally even worrying about whether she'll be able to be that special Trainer Gothitelle needs and requires.

Playing and taking care of the Plusles - and Minun, yes - was a rather nice task for the rest of day, yet tirering by the end, so Shiva was actually delighted when she could wave them goodbye for today, pick up Tropius from the green roof, check on him for any wounds from the barbed wire before collecting the fruits he grows and handing them to Lil' Freddy for feeding the Pokemon (the Shelter gets my Tropius' fruit for free during the working week, but the Nanab Berrys stay with Shiva to collect. Current amount: 3), switching her party to her Little Cup Team and also being suprised and a tad bit dissapointed to see and hear that Ventus will stay longer due to working Double Shifts. "Ven, dear, you're sure you are getting along? So much work, won't you be exhausted...? Of course it's very noble that you dedicate yourself so much, but... Well, ehm, take care then, alright? We'll see one another tonight then when it'll be time to turn in for the night. I'll wait for you. Well, will head to Little Cup then, see you..." She couldn't help to give that oddball of researcher she grew to like more than she could have expected a hug before she and Nathan (huh, since when was he there at the Shelter?) eventually made her way to the TOURNAMENT PLATEAU! Wheeeeee!~


Aww, the excitment was very real in Shiva, it was hard to believe this was the same young woman with that faible for the fae that was a breakpoint yesterday night due to fear and almost paranoid discomfort. (Huh, I've wanted her to participate in Lil' Cup in a different outfit, actually the same black goth/witchlike attire she ran around in Corsage Port, but now I haven't even created a drawing and am too lazy to describe her outfit. Use imagination, such clothes fit her well in my head.)

Shiva was happy to see Heart being there already and waved him to him, of course she too will give her best for making a good performance and have fun the challenge! Oh, and not 'maybe' to Shiva's suprise, the case was 'indeed' to Shiva's suprise. Uh... She didn't quite understood why he wanted to practice for Little Cup when he's notparticipating, but, ehm, well, she didn't felt like mulling over this right now. After having given him a confused look at first, this expression faded and she waved back to him and Kirlia. And that tiny spider as well, or whatever that tiny yellow spot on Nathan's shoulder was. Her eyes were practically super-glued to that guy in the fancy purple suit - the same like this morning in Shelter! He was suspicious if you'd ask Shiva, but no threat nor intimidating. She'll keep an eye on that guy.


Her first Pokemon to send out against Breeder(wheee again!) Wendy was...her familiar fluffball, Cottonee! Good luck, dear one.

Kingdra have LONG memories and lifespans. To him, it is as if no time has passed at all. He doesn't seem too upset at being moved from the Shelter anymore.

Shiva and Heart take their places on their various battlefields. Each one is on the edge of the plateau, which is divided into quadrants by a wall of bleachers, full of people. You can look through submerged windows to the adjacent battlefields. One edge of each field is just a steep wall, leading down 40 feet to dense bushes.

Two Nurse Joys are stationed on each battlefield, ready for the contestants. Due to the unusual amounts of Baby Pokemon running everywhere, the Nurse Joys keep extra fluffy and calming wards.

In a specially constructed tower rising from the center of the bleachers, there is a cute girl of about 20 years old. She has a Zigzagoon on her shoulder which holds a microphone for her. It punctuates all her statements with a chirrup.

"Hello all, and welcome to the opening rounds of the Little Cup, here in Stair City! I am Tanuki, Gym Leader of Cress City! I'm here to give a glorious welcome to our sister city! WELCOME!"
*answering roar from the crowd*
"Hey! Why don't y'all grab a ribbon or two from the dispensers at the end of each row? We have all colors! Poles are available too! See a cute Zigzagoon you like?" *chirrup* "Tie a brown ribbon and a beige ribbon to your pole, and wave it proudly!"

"Oh...my three maidens and I will be waving ribbons too! Whichever Pokemon we think is the cutest in each match will get the honor of seeing its colors flying high from way up here in the tower! I won't decide until partway through the match, so if you want me to personally cheer for you, you better do your best!"

Remember that the battles of Heart and Shiva are at different time slots, so it's fine to RP even if you're "in" a battle.

"Each battle will be a single match. Each trainer may send in two Pokemon in total! Forfeiting is allowed - after all, you may be in another match tomorrow and want to keep your cute little Pokemon unfainted!"

Upon re-uniting with Kingdra after such a long absence from him, Ventus was ecstatic that he not only remember them clearly, but that the Vines Crisis hasn't phased him nearly as much as Pyroar or the other more anxious Pokémon here! Still, the researcher was dealing with a prideful and powerful Dragon Pokémon, so he resisted the desire to more enthusiastically greet it (and get most likely blasted for his troubles), and instead opted to give them a friendly smile and a formal bow. "Greetings once again, Kingdra! I'm terribly sorry I've haven't visited you in these past few trying days, but I was involved on quest given to us by Stair's Gym Leader Dagney to vanquish those horrendous Vines that would have consumed the city until recently. Seeing as Stair is more or less intact and now unmolested by insidious plantlife, I'm proud to report that my group succeeded for the most part! Their is still work to be done in order to fully remedy the root of the problems that's responsible for terrorizing the city, but as the saying goes, 'one step at a time, least you trip and fall.' "

He clapped his hand after he updated them on his going ons for the past week or so, both to signal his own personal delight in helping 'solve' the problem (Ven didn't really do anything significant in his mind, but he can still enjoy a job well done!) and to move on to the next topic he wanted to bring up. "Ah, but enough of that, my friend. I doubt you wish for me to bore or infuriate you with the details of that journey, so let's move onto a more pertinent topic. By tomorrow night, I will have fulfilled my promise with the Director of the Shelter, and with that I will finally be able to fufill the one I hold to you, mighty sea dragon, and release you from bondage here. I have the highest hope we'll get along together, and that one day I'll earn your full trust and friendship, and perhaps stand equal with you if you allow, but for now I will not impose upon beyond what I already have. After all, it wouldn't do for me not to show proper respect for the power and mastery you possess, correct?"

*Flashback to Partings with Shiva!*

"Ven, dear, you're sure you are getting along? So much work, won't you be exhausted...? Of course it's very noble that you dedicate yourself so much, but... Well, ehm, take care then, alright? The empath couldn't help but feel not a little guilty for choosing not to attend his most blessed friend debut at the Little Cup AND generating negativity with her heart, but Ventus soon masked such feeling with a kind, sweet, and slightly regretful smile. "I'm more than inured to working late nights after all my years of exciting and often intense research, so worry not my dear. I promise to take care not to overexert myself toiling away at paperwork, so please battle without a heavy heart. May Reshirim guide you to victory and glory, and grant you their blessing Shiva!"

He gave her a quick hug after he said this, before waving her off and getting started on work/having a quick chat with Kingdra
