Whoahw, that announcer seemed to be around her age, and she even was a Gym Leader? ....Awesome. Shiva felt like what she had in grace, Tanuki had in cuteness, and immediately she was fascinated by that. True, it was a right decision to join in Little Cup although at first it seemed like she was the only one of the group - here she had the chance to not only show what she has learned since departing from Professor Mallorn's lab, earn money and praise by doing well in battle, but also to amaze the crowd, hopefully catching them like on that battle under the glowing sun on the cruise in Corsage Port!~ How delightful it was to know that this event was not just 'win the battle', but also 'win the battle with STYLE'! Shiva felt lucky that she intentionally for Little Cup changing her outfit didn't turn out horribly out of place.

Huh, a Happiny as her first first foe remindes her on the student of Telperion Uni Extension she once met, friendly-battled and changed cell numbers before the group departed to solve the crisis of the Vines, when she was pondering whether she should attemp to sneak into a class as a guest auditor or not. Shiva couldn't help but to carefully and internally smile at the memory of Darius... Hopefully he's doing well, and of course she'll make sure to call/contact him before he'll graduate next year in May!

Sometime after the opponents, matchups and times you are asked to attent your battle are known, Shiva searches and eventually finds Heart somewhere among all the participants. She makes sure to catch up on him, holding the low edge of her dress while she runs. "Heart! My, I got that...*huff*...note from you this morning from Nurse Joy...What *huff* made your change your mind and register for Little Cup after you told yesterday that you feel limited by the rules?"

Shiva and Heart take their places on their various battlefields. Each one is on the edge of the plateau, which is divided into quadrants by a wall of bleachers, full of people. You can look through submerged windows to the adjacent battlefields. One edge of each field is just a steep wall, leading down 40 feet to dense bushes.

Two Nurse Joys are stationed on each battlefield, ready for the contestants. Due to the unusual amounts of Baby Pokemon running everywhere, the Nurse Joys keep extra fluffy and calming wards.

In a specially constructed tower rising from the center of the bleachers, there is a cute girl of about 20 years old. She has a Zigzagoon on her shoulder which holds a microphone for her. It punctuates all her statements with a chirrup.

"Hello all, and welcome to the opening rounds of the Little Cup, here in Stair City! I am Tanuki, Gym Leader of Cress City! I'm here to give a glorious welcome to our sister city! WELCOME!"
*answering roar from the crowd*
"Hey! Why don't y'all grab a ribbon or two from the dispensers at the end of each row? We have all colors! Poles are available too! See a cute Zigzagoon you like?" *chirrup* "Tie a brown ribbon and a beige ribbon to your pole, and wave it proudly!"

"Oh...my three maidens and I will be waving ribbons too! Whichever Pokemon we think is the cutest in each match will get the honor of seeing its colors flying high from way up here in the tower! I won't decide until partway through the match, so if you want me to personally cheer for you, you better do your best!"

Remember that the battles of Heart and Shiva are at different time slots, so it's fine to RP even if you're "in" a battle.

"Each battle will be a single match. Each trainer may send in two Pokemon in total! Forfeiting is allowed - after all, you may be in another match tomorrow and want to keep your cute little Pokemon unfainted!"

Wow. Tanuki the Gym leader is the announcer? Heart was quite surprise. Change his mind to participate in this Cup was the best idea he ever had. That could be a awesome experience to him and his pokemons and challenge his friend Shiva in the finals. But he need win this opponent to get that Chance.

Heart stops for a second and greet Shiva. "Shiva, heya." Then Heart hear about the note he left with Nurse Joy and Shiva have read. Heart hear too Shiva asking about what make him change his mind. He stops for a second then answear. "Well to be honest it was because of four reasons: 

1 - Since I have many pokemons with first Pokemon, the only two who cant compet would be Rose and Caesar since they second form, but the others can so I will bring them to battle.

2 - The chance to meet many types of people with different pokemons to know. 

3 - The chance to fight you in battle and fight a strong person and trainer (yeah I consider you a strong trainer). Since I fight Nathan and loose I feel I need to become stronger and stronger, and to fight you will be a great growth for both of us. Not mattering if I win or loose.

"The four reason, well, thats a secret. If you beat me I tell ya. Consider that a reward for beat me, hehehe. A PUNisher deserve have his mysteries dont you think?"

Upon re-uniting with Kingdra after such a long absence from him, Ventus was ecstatic that he not only remember them clearly, but that the Vines Crisis hasn't phased him nearly as much as Pyroar or the other more anxious Pokémon here! Still, the researcher was dealing with a prideful and powerful Dragon Pokémon, so he resisted the desire to more enthusiastically greet it (and get most likely blasted for his troubles), and instead opted to give them a friendly smile and a formal bow. "Greetings once again, Kingdra! I'm terribly sorry I've haven't visited you in these past few trying days, but I was involved on quest given to us by Stair's Gym Leader Dagney to vanquish those horrendous Vines that would have consumed the city until recently. Seeing as Stair is more or less intact and now unmolested by insidious plantlife, I'm proud to report that my group succeeded for the most part! Their is still work to be done in order to fully remedy the root of the problems that's responsible for terrorizing the city, but as the saying goes, 'one step at a time, least you trip and fall.' "

He clapped his hand after he updated them on his going ons for the past week or so, both to signal his own personal delight in helping 'solve' the problem (Ven didn't really do anything significant in his mind, but he can still enjoy a job well done!) and to move on to the next topic he wanted to bring up. "Ah, but enough of that, my friend. I doubt you wish for me to bore or infuriate you with the details of that journey, so let's move onto a more pertinent topic. By tomorrow night, I will have fulfilled my promise with the Director of the Shelter, and with that I will finally be able to fufill the one I hold to you, mighty sea dragon, and release you from bondage here. Kingdra really likes this kind of language, even if it doesn't mesh with how he views his own situation. As a dragon lord, he likes to think that he has overcome all kinds of adversity through nothing but his own powers. That's not at all what happened, but Kingdra doesn't care!

So Kingdra gives Ventus a lordly nod, just from the neck up, and resumes his filter feeding. Ventus thinks he's looking forward to being out of the tank.

Whoahw, that Happiny knows Drain Punch? That is some rare move and no egg move for the line as far as Shiva knew, unless you're very lucky to have the TM your in need for the help of a Tutor. This, and because the contrast of such a charming 'Mon being able to punch its opponent hard when being messed with almost infatuated her just like the oozing of charm infatuated her Cottonee, but no way she'll let that happen without striking back.

"You did perfect Cottonee, don't let the cuteness diminish you. However, please come back to me now to clear your mind again and start fresh, let your spectral companion in this match clean up!~"

Cottonee obeys and floats over into her beloved Master's arms while scattering a portion on fairy dust over half the battlefield, to replace her Litwick is summoned! He takes a leap from Shiva's hand, lands on the battle and enlights his flame, bathing the area into an eerie bluish-purple light.


Mechanics:
Neither were special rules given for switching in Little Cup, so I assume it follows the same rules like in every League-official battle. We'll switch to Litwick here to cancel out the power of Charm, what orders he will receive depends on the Init Order.

...there's both a twinge of disappointment and a weird satisfaction at its failure to do any damage to Cottonee.
