WAIT!  I just had another thought!  Arial can't possibly be killed by that Explosion!  Muk's got Burn 3, so it has a -3 Strength Penalty, meaning Explosion only has 7 D6 in its damage pool!

Arial is NOT dead.

But he IS heavily wounded and stuck with three lethally damaged pokemon.

Problem with that is Filter's modification is that it ignores the Damage and Dex Penalty of Burn and Paralysis, and makes it immune to Powder Moves like Spore, Stun Spore etc... That's why I didn't put an indication that Muk's STR dropped with Burn 3, though in retrospect I should've pointed that out instead of just leaving it blank....

WHAT?! So Arial is really dead dead?! What kind of modification is that.

The type of modification that would have made Delta Muk into an extremely hard to remove tank, since in conjuction with Iron Defense you can't hope for either Burn or Paralysis to help cripple it (Though Burn can still hurt it, albeit not that much since Filter applies to the Fire damage as well!), you can't lower its Attribute with Attacks reliably (With attribute lowering moves I was thinking they would just have reduced effectiveness or a lower chance to proc) , and you can't put it to sleep with any other method but Hyponsis, Sing, or Grass Whistle. If you caught it, they would have been a powerful addition to your team.....just one you would have to use carefully.

Unfortunately....this happened.

EDIT: Filter just reduces the amount of Damage Dice Rolled for Burn 2 and 3 by 1. Burn 1 is unaffected by Filter, so the Burn Status will ALWAYS do some damage to Delta Muk. I just keep forgetting to clarify details....

Well, even Arial's defeated now (for now, that is), he died as a hero in the battle against a strong Delta Pokemon! That's something that doesn't happen everyday.

Oh, and that 'Best Game Over Ever' IS the best game over, lol'd... *googles* Huh, I'd play that game, nice retro feeling as it's from 1995.

Well, even Arial's defeated now (for now, that is), he died as a hero in the battle against a strong Delta Pokemon! That's something that doesn't happen everyday.

Hmmmm...no, I wouldn't really say he died as a 'hero'.  That was...entirely self interested, that battle against the Delta Muk.  And Arial got rekt because he was outclassed pretty hard.  It's one thing for Reiner to be fighting something like that, since he has all sorts of goodies and strategies that help him overcome or bypass such disadvantages, but for Arial to fight something like that without Riza's help...well...

Delta Muk was actually manageable by him, it just got super pissed off by being Burned 3 and Lethally injured by Shiny Gligar, which unlike Arial's Pokémon wasn't ordered to hold back its Lethal Damage, and decided to take EVERYONE with it once it made the assumption they were trying to kill it. He was actually doing well against it until that point, it was just the ending that spoiled everything.

@Spiritmon : Also, Delta Muk is currently KOed, suffering 5 Lethal Damage right now due to its Burn and the 3 Lethal Damage that Shiny Gligar pegged it with. In five hours it will bleed out and die, same amount of time with Sekmet, and S.G. only has 3 Hours. If you want to catch it or Shiny Gligar, a Pokeball will automatically do the job.

You know, I've been thinking about Arial's 'Death' and Gaspar's actual death, and I realize that I've been sort of an ass about it, seeing as I could have easily not enforced the Mod on Filter , or changed its so that Arial could live while being nearly blown to smitherins. So with that in mind, I'm going to offer to do something I normally don't do: A Retcon. I'll rework the Mod of Filter so Arial/Gaspar can live, and then declare the post after that a 'Dream Sequence' or several futures that Arial forsaw could happen. I'll ask for nothing in exchange, such I was being a Killer DM instead of a Monty Haul one. Sorry Spiritmon, it won't happen again without reason!

Rework of Filter: Base effects + Wonder Skin Effect + Overcoat Effect (Base Game) + Allowing 1 Chance Dice to make Burn 3 do 1 less damage.

I know my word will likely not count that much actually since I'm not even directly participating, but do allow me to nevertheless say that I'm finding this a good decision from your side, Windos. *lovingly hugs* No character-death happened, it turns out to be somewhat too much to take, especially if it's coming so suddenly...
