When Heart finish the Pokemon battle he go to the pokemon Center to heal his pokemons. When finishing that, he decided to go to the Shell. Not to exactly work with that Disobedient of Nidorino but pay a visit with Ventus and Shiva. "Since I still need to give them the leflovers of the food who still flesh!"

Action: Head to the Shellter and wait for Ventus and Shiva. And another action I will discuss with the master.

They seem like decent choices...Nathan gives Solomon a quiet thank you for expressing his opinion on the matter.

...Nathan can't help but shudder at the thought of some of these, though.

Well, now that that's done...time to do a spot of training...show Forthright how that works...

It's been ages since he last used Grid...he was probably going to enjoy getting to flex his abilities again...

Let's do a quick training session for Grid, Solomon, and Kirlia and show Forthright what that's like! Orthros also gets to learn Flamethrower for 44 exp during this time!

(Windos is busy with moving back to college dorm for today, I dunno when he's coming back online, so I guess I'll reply to this one then...?)

Shiva gets a few chances to hold the exclamation Pokemon herself, though mostly it stays on Ven's jacket. There is some climbing to be done to get near to the Ruins, especially where the decaying piles of vines are, and then the Pokemon stays with Shiva until it can float up to Ventus.

But when you reach the boundary of the safe part of the Ruins outskirts, beyond which you can see portentous wisps of purple gas, Unown expresses no interest in going farther. Ventus has a little communion with the enigmatic Pokemon. Seems the Pyschic type does not like Ghosts at all! Only the deepest layers are safe for an Unown.

Poochyena sniffs about alertly, and gains 1XP.

Ventus also gains 1XP.

That egg is indeed showing physical signs of hatching soon! It's weeping an oily substance from the shell, and sloshing around.

Holding a vivid exclamation mark was a weird experience, Shiva was somewhat sure that there was something powerful about that Unown. That's probably true for every Unown yet the power they hide within was a little different for each exemplar - or so she once read, she actually wasn't sure whether this was really true as she's never been close to these alphabetic Pokemon. She keeps '!' safe and close during climbing (ugh, climbing! Ugh, all these decaying vines...deserves them right!) but feels a little relieved when '! 'can float back to Ven.

Shiva may not have the communion like he did with '!', but she managed to pick up that it is feeling somewhat unsafe. Maybe worried. Certainly not interested in moving closer to the Ruins, definitely no blaming for such a sentimental. Ventus himself has likely already noticed as well, so it seems like the small group will be returning '!' to the Shelter then... Before departing though, Shiva gives these Ruins an unreadable glance over the shoulder. These wisps of purple gas... They gave her a cold shiver. They had such an unhealthy color... Something was going on there, for sure, though what it was...

On the way back to the Shelter, Shiva did two things: Updating herself on the known Layers of the Ruins with the help of own journal ('Hmm, naturally that Unown felt uncomfortable... Other kinds of it are only found below the tombs, within the Modern Ruins.') as well as very carefully touching that oily substance that deeply purple Mystery Egg is oozing. Was it...somewhat harmless or at worst poisonous to touch? Hopefully not corrosive...

Solomon gets a training roll, though he has to be continually prompted to keep using his attacks. Very lazy. This makes Forthright laugh a lot. 4 + 3 + 3canalize -2 disobedience.

The weeping ooze does stain your fingers for a few hours and make your fingertips a little numb. Yuck. While in the Incubator this is no problem at all.

Using electricity is good and all, but this particular training session is a bit of an endurance test for Grid.  Use his electricity for as long as possible before he runs dry, attempt to extend its usage for as long as he can.

Seeing Forthright laugh makes both Nathan and Kirlia happy.

Ughhh. Instant-rubbing her hand on her clothes does not remove these stains, but luckily it does not transfer onto her clothes either... She disliked that numb feeling, and got mixed feeling of what will hatch there - now increased curiosity, but also a slight worry.

Shiva will keep wearing these rubber gloves she somewhat still had with her from handling the bunch of electric rodents yesterday for some hours now, in case someone asks she'll reply with "Safety reasons. Safety first!".

I assume there's a good chance that they're not missing each other here as Heart was training and battling while me and Ventus were busy with a trip to the Ruins escorting '!', which both takes time - if that's wrong, I'll adapt and edit. Besides, out of curiosity... How much WOULD the adoption fine be for '!' Unown?

With Ventus keeping a hold of and silently calming that explamation mark Unown - 'Hmm, maybe if one of us would adopt it we could take it with us shall we ever head down into these old Ruins for one reason or the other and sooner or later and release it where other wild Unown roam where it'd feel a little safer, but was that worth the adoption fine...?' - and Shiva updating herself on the layers of the Ruins and dealing with the soon-hatching Mystery Egg (as said), they soon arrived at the Shelter. Shiva would notice it first due to her Tropius on the roof catching her eye.

The other thing that caught their eyes was Heart roaming near the entrance of the Shelter! My, what a neat suprise, what was he...oh wait... True, some of his own Pokemon were not really obeying as much as he'd enjoy.

Shiva gave him a wave with the rubber-gloved hand and the Incubator checked twice whether it's certainly closed before it's packed away as they approached. Vanilla cookies she has missed out on lately dinner are gladly accepted, they'll be ideal as a snack during all the matches later!~

Heart waves back.

Then the Egg starts shaking and cracking!

More purple fluid oozes out - Shiva is careful to take it out of the Incubator and avoid the fluid, but it's only a little bit. Then the Egg splits, and writhing in the puddle is a baby Skrelp! It's so tiny!!!

Skrelp has Poison Touch, 2 Happiness, 3 Loyalty.
Tackle, Smokescreen, Water Gun, Feint Attack.
It will struggle to fight on land at least until it learns Camoflauge.

This is one of the most poisonous Pokemon known to man, and Shiva just hatched it.

While Shiva's attention is on the Egg, Ventus notices Heart has vanished. Ventus' instincts make him reach out just in time, steadying Shiva as Heart pops up behind her! Viktor cutely stalks Heart's shadow in turn.
