[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins

And Heart is hinting to Nathan talk personally with Nathan instead of recluse himself and not talk. And the fact there the fact Nathan was not very much polite with Heart to the point to simple ignore Heart like a statue when Heart try to talk with him. Nope. IF Nathan want to talk, Nathan must do the first move. No pain, no gain as they say.

Spirit, Kirlia's trying to get things going in the first place.

Nathan's reluctant to interact with Heart since it's a whole boatload of issues he'd just rather not have since Heart is kinda the source of the issues here (been pretty obvious, I think).  HOWEVER, Heart's comment about things that both greatly interest Nathan and greatly concern him as well has prompted Kirlia to act while Nathan can't bring himself to be able to.

Nathan's not great with some social situations, but he's particularly terrible with ones that make him REALLY uncomfortable, and Kirlia's doing his best to help Nathan overcome that to some degree.

Nathan DOESN'T want to talk, but Kirlia's trying to force a situation where he'll have to.

Nathan isn't making the first move.  Kirlia is on his behalf.

If you want to continue to ignore Kirlia's prompting, fine, I have some reactions for that planned, but it certainly isn't going to solve anything.

Then nothing is going to be accomplished if either side refuses to even speak with one another except on their own terms. Look, Ventus already memorized the messages, so have Heart tell Nathan that Shiva/Ventus know the message so that they can work with him instead, if your character is unwilling to compromise in this instance @Spiritmon . They can talk over it at breakfast, while the collector can do whatever the hecky he wants. Savy?

Alright, give me a sec to type up how Kirlia and Nathan react to that, then.  And then they'll be starting their next day.

I can understand that. But what I dont understand for what reason is Heart the source of all that issues. It was in the cavern? Or was way before that. Care to explain why Nathan fear/feel umcorfable about Heart presence? Why is he so issued with Heart?

Yes, it's partly due to how Heart reacted in the cave (the anger and name-calling and such).  And also because Heart kept purposely needling him by purposely getting his last name wrong.  And some other small reasons, but those are the big two.

As I explained before, Nathan's had a lot of trouble with bullying in the past, and he shut himself off entirely whenever it became a problem.  He doesn't handle aggression and similar very well, and usually chooses to close himself off rather than try to solve the issue himself.  The problems can't hurt him if he stays away from them is the sort of mindset he takes with his problems.

Which is in stark contrast to how he reacts when someone hurts Kirlia or one of his pokemon or few friends, but that also stems from the bullying.  It's why he took in Zippy, the tiny, frail, nimble, single hexagon Male Combee that nobody in their right mind would ever want to train seriously.

Nathan does his best trying to defend others he cares about, but he has a lot of trouble defending himself from his own worries and problems.

But its attach to each other somehow. Kirlia want help Nathan, and Nathan want to be help. But isn't letting the path easily to others help him. Ventus give up. Heart is almost giving up. And Shiva...I dont really know. To be help, you must let others help you.

Shiva remains somewhat loyal to Nathan, depsite Orthros and despite she has developed trust issues towards him since what has happened within the Water Scimitar Base and what has melodically been named 'That Battle'. Let that sink in for a moment... So far, these issues don't seem to pose a problem though - in serious situations they very likely might however.

Having taken the niche of the calm and solid rock of the group/the one to turn to if you'd need someone who'll just listen to your problems/the one who holds the group together it's natural that she stays by his side as seemingly the only one now, until he deliberatly messes with her, her Pokemon or Ventus that is. (I don't think he'd do, though). Her patience is immense but it's not endless - see how she simply had enough back there in Arrowroot after Nathan fainted?

Sometimes, she's simply busy with her own issues and things though. She has a life too, and Pokemon to care for.

Don't take this the wrong way, guys, but I find it sort of grimly and morbidly amusing that Nathan has become the Pariah of the group, a position that was formerly and solidly held by Ventus due to his dubious morality, intrusive pariona and phobias, and not very friendly approach to threats if unrestrained by others. I'm still scratching my head as to exactly HOW and when this paradigm shift occurred, since this seemed to have been a gradual process to my knowledge..... Honestly, it rather baffling, really.

It was gradual.  Nobody really built him up and helped him support the already shaky foundations he had at the start, so he just kinda fell down.

It started becoming more apparent after Corsage, and it's only gotten worse since.
