"When I say Lights Out, I mean it literally. We're going to cast Charge and then cast Electrify and then cast Magnetic Flux and then cast Eerie Impulse for the finisher, knocking out all power to the Battle Plateau. Gren and Greave head in, get the location of the Secret Library from the girl, and then head out while everyone is still trying to figure out what's going on! The rain can only help! Gren and Greave are packing Ground, of course. If you've got a standard load then I guess you can't really help with this part of the op, so you're on support. You can still watch the fireworks though!"

The other guy adds "Our spells should look a lot like a normal power failure, and no one is being directly attacked, so I figure the cops won't investigate too much."

"Yes......very lucky. Despite my......apparel , I do an excellent job of making myself......discrete. Stealth operations and......clean ups are my specialty, so I have more reasons to avoid using this..... flashy tool of mine. As for us......dropping in, I was not expecting to be......interrupted as well, but I was summoned and ask to.....help you out, so I did as requested. Don't mind my underling......he's just there when brute force is needed over.....finesse ," Ventus responded, using his unGauntleted hand to indicate Valder, before continuing on.

"A Blackout operation...... on one of the biggest events of the year......just to gather intelligence from one little girl? That's an........inefficient way of doing things. Overly extravagant as well......and creates unnecessary messes. Trailing the girl until she's.......isolated, then snatch her off the streets and interrogate her, before......disposing of her quietly would have been far....easier to conduct, and less flashy too. Too late for that now....unless Gren and Greave.......FUBAR things. Tell me......why coordinate such an operation in this manner? And what is this about.....the 'Secret Library?' Only reason......I can think doing things like.....this is if matters involving this intel were.......time sensitive and critical. "

The disguised research tilted his head at the 'gentlemen' he was speaking to, his body language question and inquisitive. He was almost ready to go Team Plasma on their asses, but their was still more intelligence he needed to gather.....

Order: Do this line of questioning, before Ventus decides how he ultimately wants to handle things. Whether it be good or ill.....time will only tell.

Gonna give @Nylon a chance to jump in before I resolve this stuff. You may have to remind me about this post if we reach the end of the Little Cup and I still haven't done it. The Blackout can happen anytime until the last match of the day is over, so if we reach that point then you know I forgot.

The sandstorm soon subsides. You take shelter before it gets you again.

Nathan pulls out his 'Dex to give Dagny a call.

"Dagny, situation's handled.  Two guys part of an organization known as Scimitars came out of a manhole at the base of the tower.  They were after Shiva for some reason, threatened to steal my pokemon.  Had to KO them both.  Get some authorities over here ASAP if they're not already here."

There is not too much pain or sadness or any negative reaction visible on Shiva's expression as she withdrew her now fainted psychic kitten. He has done a good job, he certainly has, as he managed to pain the bird with psychic power. Not much actually as it was still flying at near incredible speed, but...was a Tailow's beak always emitting such a metallic shimmering?! Not to her knowledge at last.

Out comes indeed her bittersweet cherrylike companion again, and it was not hard to notice that she shivered a little due to being asked to face a bird. Naturally that Shiva picked this up. "Yes, I know that this situation is dire and I may ask a little too much from you, dear one. However... You remember how I've picked you up from that whithering cherry tree? How I've offered taking care of you, taking you with me, protecting you from all those hungry Bird Pokemon around? You agreed, immediately seeking shelter in my Cottonee's fluff. Now, compare yourself now with how you were back then - you still have your smaller head. It's not blooming yet, but it's obvious that you've grown... I just need to hold you in my hand as a proof. Also remember how we once won against a Vullaby? Yes...? Splendid. Fine then..." *heavily dramatic gesture* " heal up, then, with that poisonous layer on you, charge at that bird, showing that you are more than an ordinary Cherubi! Stay alerted though - as soon as that layer fades, keep your distance and reinforce these colorful leaves! If we're going down here, we're going down WITH STYLE."



Orders for this Round: We're pretty much out of Little Cup here unless some miraculous dice rolls maybe save us, healing up with Morning Sun is relatively pointless in Rainy Weather, changing the weather to Sunny is not really a choice here. But let's make this a worthy Final Act at last! Accepting that Insight Check to see when the Layer of Poison is fading away. If it suceeds and we see it fading away, start up with Magical Leaf right away as often as possible! If it fails, using Tackle two times. Light Screen is still active.

I'm giving all dice calculations here, which ones are rolled out depends on the result of Insight Check.


Accuracy Roll Tackle 1: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 1 Brawl - 2 Actions - 2 Pain = 2d6

Additional notes: Normal damage on that Special Tailow.

When the guy looked at Theo, Valder felt some pride in his heart, but it quickly faded. He was trying to follow the conversation, but didn't understand who 'that girl' was. He thought of Shiva, then the Secret Library, were they finally going there?
When he gets the chance, Valder will ask his boss who this girl was, but right now he wanted to make sure about something else.
 Shyly, though inside he was more vengeful, Valder asked, "Do you guys know if the our water counterparts are having a foot in this?", Valder knew they were earth-scimitars, had to be. He asked another thing as well, "Have you heard of 'The Gauntlet'? Someone mentioned that it resides in the secret library".

 Valder is also interested in exactly how the plan is going to be played out. He wants in. He does not say this specifically, but will passively show a larger interest in the matter.

"I've heard a very little about this Scimitar organization. You're going to have to debrief me later. Shieldmaidens and armored police are converging on your location right... now. You may go with them as they take the captives in. And remember, this call and our previous calls are off the record. If you are willing to lie, please say that Absol alerted you to the danger."

Indeed, Nathan can hear a megaphone directing people to step away from the door, then a harsh knocking. "Stair City Police."

Officer Jenny takes your statement. Let me know if you 'editorialize' anything or if you just tell things as is.
A Shieldmaiden remains behind in case anyone follows through here. 
The police and League officials gather up all the debris into evidence bags: scraps of gauntlet, lots of wiring, robes, a weird ash, and several scraps of what appears to be Pokeballs. They also take a lot of pictures.

What happens next will depend on Ventus+Valder's actions and Nathan's responses, so the police are not yet leaving with the captives.

XP will come when the deal is wrapped up.

Insight: (6)(6)(5)(2) Seeing an opportunity for STAB, Shiva calls out a change in orders as the Poison fades.

As she goes, she disobeys orders sort of and lets out a weakened Sunny Day. Above her battlefield, the rain lessens and the sun pokes out of the clouds. Tanuki applauds and Cherubi gains +1 Happiness.

"Just think how differently that battle could have gone if the Pokemon had come out in the other order! Never underestimate these little Pokemon, folks! Shiva is in the Top - whoa, that is the biggest water attack I've ever seen! Was that a Surf?"

Attention fades from Shiva's battle. But she gets 6XP for her Pokemon and 3 for herself, and a mark on her trainer card certifying her two victories.

Nathan is still not visible in his spot, and there seems to be some kind of commotion at the base ofTanuki's tower, which Tanuki is ignoring. Shiva thinks she might be among the only ones to notice this, however.
