Letting out a relieved *Siiiigh* as Nathan capitulated to both his and his most blessed friend's entreaties, Ventus gave them a much friendlier smile while patting their shoulder. "Nathan, I know you greatly desire to test your metal against Dagney's own fortified Pokémon, but taking care of your general wellbeing first should be your top priority, and I thank you for doing so. After all, if you end up stressing yourself to the point of collapse instead of recuperating, all that expended effort will amount to naught but failure and frightening your own trust companion. I do not want a reoccurence of you of Fainting from intense stress and fatigue, nor anyone else would for that matter. 'Those that do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it,' and as an avid historian yourself you would do well to learn this," he told them, gently praising them for their decision while also reinforcing the idea to know the times for maximum effort, and when to take it easy. As a Pokémon Researcher himself, he's no stranger to his colleagues or even himself falling ill due to working themselves to the bone without much down time, so he's genuinely speaking from experience here! That, and bringing up their disasterous double battle should go a long ways towards impressing on him NOT to overdo it......he hopes.

Order: Praise/Reinforce the idea of Nathan resting to get better, before making an offer to take care both Forthright and Starmie. If he accepts, Ventus will go over to his PC and swap out Abaddon and Michael to have the party space for this , though he'll make sure to teach his kick boxing Shroom Stone Edge before doing so! If not, he'll still go over to the PC to swap out Michael for his Egg at least, making sure to lovingly check on it (The Egg) in the process! Then he'll be ready to proceed to the Shelter with Shiva, discussing his proposal to have a 2V1 Battle of Kingdra vs. Cottenee and Marill after work! That about wraps up his day in one fell swoop, really!

Your job at the Shelter today is to don protective fire gear and work with a Charmeleon. It is thought that he will evolve soon into the notoriously disobedient Charizard! He needs to see trainers he can respect. "There are many different kinds of respect, and you never know which one will ease the mind of a dragon!"

Starmie is rather happy with FINALLY getting out of that stuffy PC.  It's been in there since...well, it's not been in Nathan's party since the group first arrived in Stair.  Forthright's excited to be going out in the rain again, though she still likes her warm, comfy, fluffy bedding a whole bunch and stays wrapped in it while indoors.

"...*achoo*...I'm...a little under the weather today, so...*sniff*...Ventus is going to be taking you two outside later...*achoo*...okay?  I'd do it myself, but...*achoo*...*sniff*...he'll have to do it for me instead...it's just for...*achoo*...today.  If you feel uncomfortable, Forthright...*achoo*...just stick with Starmie, alright?"

Assuming Nathan's pokemon don't have any issues with this, Nathan will loan Ventus Starmie's pokeball and Forthright's Blue Fitted Apricorn (careful, as she's by no means obligated to stay in it if she doesn't want to!)

Nathan's going to be spending most of the day napping, but Kirlia will help him with arranging some training before doing his usual meditations.  Three training sessions for Kirlia, Orthros, and Swiftfire today!

Oh, speaking of Swiftfire...

It's just before the first training session that Nathan pulls out that Pay Day TM and his pokedex.  He looks at it for a moment...

Swiftfire, as usual, is ALWAYS up for a little mischief making.  This move is right up her alley!   Just wait until her foes get a load of THIS move...

Swiftfire now knows Pay Day!  Not that the rest of the party knows that...

So, training sessions.  Kirlia's meditating, Swiftfire's having fun with her new move (any money gained from specificakly training this move?), and Orthros is practicing his Flamethrowers!  His former pack leader always launched some really impressive ones, and he's secretly always wanted to match (and maybe eventually outdo) hers!

Orthros gains +1 Happiness! He loves to burn things, but even more, he likes to be outside with his pack!

Swiftfire training roll: Insight + Knowledge + Allure (4)(2)(1)(5)(2)(2)(4)(2) This move produces fake coinage when not in battle. When the adrenaline is pumping, the coins come out in valuable minerals like silver (not official Creshire coinage, but still worth something). When training, the coins are cheap materials like tin. It's worth 0$ but if you want to toss coins to the kiddies, this is the way to do it.

Ventus already said enough and gave enough praise for Nathan deciding correctly, so Shiva keeps quiet for now while keeping her arms crossed and her deadpan expression fades into a satisfied one. This one time, her words reached through, they made it to bypass his trademark stubborness that was helpful in some situations and plain conflic-alluring in other situations... True, it couldn't be ruled out that she too, if being very very honest, would prioritize the wellbeing of a dear Pokemon having her OT+ID over her own, but contrary to Nathan (?) she carried rainy-weather-gear with her.

"Good decision, Nathan. Get well soon, and have a fruitful rest for today... We'll make sure your Pokemon are well, too." Once having said that, she gently nudges Ventus to catch his attention. "I, ehm, wanted to make a quick trip to the Department Store during lunch break anyway, Ven, so I can easily take Starmie and...what was her name again...Forthright with me, outside of their Pokeball. Alongside Marill and Vaporeon." (Is that Castform still outside of Pokeball? If so...) Now she opened her arms again and carefully extended one of her hands to that young Weather-Pokemon, allowing it to sniff on the back of her hand if it likes, all while giving it a reserved smile. True, that Castform already saw her and knows her, but direct contact to a still young Pokemon was a different matter, it's one level higher - mess up here, and you'll at worst never make it to earn a young one's trust! "There, young one. I won't do anything to you. Listen, your Master's not able to take you out into the rain today, but I could fulfill that for him if you'd like and let me. If you'd prefer to not be carried by me, stick to Starmie instead as he suggested, or one of my Water Types. Now... uhm..." *withdrawing her arm, either after having given Forthright a careful pet shall she agree or not depending on how she'd react* "Let us get...going then, shall we, Ven?"



Next...Shelterwork!

Tropius can stay up at the green roof again, as usual. Sure, Shiva would enjoy staying up there as well and watch what he does all the hours and how he interacts with the other Pokemon up there, but no time for that... At least he can enjoy some freetime and gets some fresh air. He receives a stroke over his forehead as usual when Shiva is wishing him well and promises that she'll pick him up later again.

This time, he was not the only Pokemon to do that however. In a flash of white light, Nightshade got summoned to the scene, immediately being picked up by Shiva and motioned to take a look at the green roof. "So, uhm, dear one... I've been think that maybe you would enjoy spending some hours under the fresh air as well for today. Can you feel how moist the air is? After all that sunny weather, how about you hydrate yourself again a little? Water from the sky is non-calcareous, so it's even better for a sweet grassy Pokemon like you. Do not worry, I'll pick you up in a few hours, I'm nearby even if I'm out of sight as I'm within this same building. If it's getting too much for you or you spot nasty birdlike Pokemon, seek some shelter under the leaflike wings of your companion. Yes, this big dragonlike one." *patting Tropius on the back, showing that he's friendly* "You'll keep your small cherrylike companion safe, right? Both of you, do take care of the barbed wire, as usual."

That Charmeleon...needs to see Trainers that he can respect? Oh... uhm, Shiva was not sure whether she'd be one to be respected by such a vigorous Fire Type, but...arrrgh, that's the task for today, so she has to adapt and try! >///< Luckily Ventus is with her today so she won't have to deal with that soon-dragonlike Pokemon alone.

Oh...wait, actually not alone at all. She had two Water Types with her and outside of their Pokeball at the moment...hehehehehe... That certainly eases some subtle fear and insecurity to a degree. Before donning that protective fire gear and heading to actually meet that Charmeleon, Shiva casted one half-worried glance over to Ven, before hesitantly and almost timidly speaking out towards Director North what has been giving her headaches the whole way to the Shelter... Or who has been giving her headaches. "Uhmm... I'm having a short question before that, Director... So, well, where is Dr. Hypericac? Still here at the Shelter? I, eh, don't need to see or speak to him, there's nothing new yet, but I just wanted to know..."

Now then, finally to that Charmeleon... Naturally that Shiva is keeping both Marill and Vaporeon outside during the whole task, as well at least trying to give herself authoritive in gesture and body language. Not the I-am-the boss-and-you-are-nothing-type of authority, but rather the There-are-rules-to-follow,-behave-yourself-type of authority.

She's also holding Ventus back at first, as there is one thing she desired to to before they'll get close to that Charmeleon... Fire gear was one thing, but it was an open secret that this evolved Fire Starter has the potential to incinerate its surroundings shall it become agitated... No need to risk burning the Shelter down. "Marill dear one, I know you haven't had much of a chance to test the increased power of your Water moves... Well, here's where I - we - could make good use of that. Please increase the moisture of the room by using Water Sport." (8 dice in Accuracy, just in case)

Vapreon, naturally, was rather curious about Marill dong that. That's not rain, nor what she can do with Aqua Ring, what kind of mischievous trick was that!? Master has not said a word about that!! Eeeeek, do want too!!!

She casts a look at Shiva expressing these sentiments

....Naturally, it didn't work, as much effort she was putting into it. Hmpf! But... she wanted to be involved toooo! Master has promised teaching her all sorts of tricks, why not that one!? Meeeeeeeeeeeeh!

Eh, ANYWAY, if she cannot do things on her own, then she'll just make sure her companion can do well on that move! Maybe this will earn her Master's attention, grrrrr!!!! Having made up her mind like that, Vaporeon let out a determined (and half annoyed) cry, before sliding her mermaid-tail underneath Marill...only to flip the fae mouse into the air the next moment to make sure her Water Sport moistens the whole room, with every corner and stuff! Luckily she has, even unintentionally, channeled her power right so that Marill was not hitting the ceiling, she got skillfully caught up and balanced on the tail by Vaporeon again.

Hah! That was fun, the waterly Eeveelution looked rather confident and satisfied. She'd have nothing against doing such a stunt again, hopefully impressing her Master... Vaporeon has learned Helping Hand for 0xp.

(Well, Nathan had his jacket, as always.  His main mistake yesterday was spending aaaallll day outside.  Even with a decent jacket, that's probably not going to end well.  Particularly if you aren't used to being in that kind of weather often.)

Nathan just quietly looks at the floor...sneezes again...quietly waits for Shiva and Ventus to leave with Forthright and Starmie...

...he can't really look straight at Shiva right now, for varying reasons.

"Hmm..... drizzly weather doesn't overly bother me, and its an fine opportunity to make sure both yours and Nathan's Pokémon get a taste of precipitation, so I'm fine with this plan of action. Excellent idea, my dear!"

After voicing this, Ventus then just quietly observes his fae fancy of his heart kindly yet carefully interact with the young metamorphic Pokémon, trying to ingraciate herself to them while also trying to minimize potential problem of being a 'stranger' to the child. Seeing/feeling this warmed the empath's  and gave it a painful tinge , as he well aware of Shiva's loving/nurturing qualities, and how he too could be the recipient of them if he wasn't so....so afraid.  Another thought came to him that thankfully dispelled such gloominess: how were Magnemite Egg doing? It has been quite some time since he checked on its prognosis, since he's been busy with Shelter work /Training + Battling / Crisis etc. , so it would be remiss of him not to inquire about it at some point! Perhaps during lunch?

In any case, when his dearest friend voiced her readiness to leave, he only nodded his head and gave her a cheerful smile, before they were off to the Shelter! During this time/transit, he quickly explain his proposal to Shiva: A 2V1 Battle against his Kingdra, with Cottenee and Maril being his challengers. No healing Items/moves, no SE moves, and having Marill do her best to not freeze Kingdra with Ice Beam (Is it possible for a Pokémon to avoid procing that if it tries to?). When asked why, the researcher said more or less 'I want to test out the strength of my sealord against opponents he couldn't just destroy with Dragon/Water STABs, and what better and worthy opponents than your Fairy Pokémon dear?'

At the Shelter!:

After the both of them arrived and Shiva brought up the topic of Dr. Hyperiac (Which caused him to involuntarily frown for a split second), Ventus approach the Director with his own inquiry with a happy smile and a friendly gleamed in his eyes! "Its good to see you are doing well, sir! As promised, I have gotten in contact with Dr. Mallorn and informed him of the odd Beautifly the Shelter possessed. I managed to arrange a hopefully reasonable deal between you two, and he said he would be calling you soon about the details, but I decided to inform you of this just in case he hasn't reached out to you yet! Hopefully he'll be able to render monetary aid swiftly, as the Shelter would certainly appreciate having a bigger budget to work with!"

When he was finished speaking with North, he followed quickly after Shiva to where Charmeleon was at, as he didn't want to leave her unattended for too long; not with that man potentially lurking around. In stark contrast to what one might expect, Ventus just didn't immediately begin socializing/handling/earning the irate fire lizard's respect, but rather decided to play a mostly supporting role to Shiva's own efforts, carefully observing by her side. While he was more than qualified and experienced to solo this task with minimal hassle, the veteran researcher was extremely curious and interested to see what her proffeciency she has in this field as a Breeder, and it provides her valuable experience for her to learn how to manage Disobedient/Scary Pokémon. Of course if things go sour/become difficult, he wouldn't hesitate to step in to render aid/pacify Charmeleon!

Already he was both visibly impressed and pleased by her Insightfulness in dampening the soon to be fire breathing dragon's flames, as combined with their protective gear should greatly hamper any possible attempts on their part to roast them alive! 'So far, so good on her part. Now, let's see what first interaction with Charmeleon will be, and how it will affect things moving forward.....'

Heart after make the meal of his pokemon he sit in his tabble to relax a bit and take some notes in diary. He didnt make not much notes since he have join in the group. He finally decided to his pen and have courage to make his notes:

Heart Diary

Well, its been a while since I have write in the these pages. Its been years since the events of my life change me forever. Since them, I travel in the world, meeting many kinds of Pokemon and trainers. Some of them is Deltamons, a variant of the typing of others pokemons. If you reader is reading in these pages, I tell ya some of the pokemons I have meet in my travels and some pictures I have made myself.



Delta Metagross: Grass/Rock
Notes: A Variant Species from the tradicional pseudo Legendary Metagross. I have meet this big buy back in Hoen. To be more precisely in the mysteryous Mirage Tower. I didnt tell my companions but when I have explored that temple, I see that pokemon sleeping in that place in some sort of room. At first though I was thinking this was only a simple statue in honrour to Metagross, but when I got close the supose statue was clearly alive! I try to capture it using my Monferno and Gustav, but with no success even with Monferno typing. With to much luck I have escaped with the fossil I found in that temple, but not before the anger stone guardian begin to hunt me though the temple, and creating huge earthquakes! Thanks Arceus I was able to escape alive from there and trap inside the guardian in the right moment the Mirage Tower fall again to the sands of Hoen once more. I wonder: What other secrets lies inside that place?



Delta Bulbasaur: Fairy/Psychic and Delta Munchax/Delta Snorlax: Both Grass

Notes: I pretty sure that Delta Bulbasaur Shiva would pretty much fall in love because of the typing, heh. Anyway, that two I have see traveling together in my first travel in the Johto Region. I make a camp in the night them I heard a strange noise. When I see it was a odd Munchax eating the food I have prepare to the next day! I of course was piss of and run against that Grassy Munchax. When I have see, I have discover the food Munchax was stealing was not only for him, but to another Deltamon, a Delta Bulbasaur! He was pretty starve and could have die in his state. I feel pity from the little guy and take care of him for a while giving him food and taking care of a few wounds he somehow have suffer. After some time, I hear a group of pokemon hunters was doing a mess in the forest, hurting pokemons, and trying to find something. I discover that two Deltamons was flee from that hunters who was trying to sell them in the black market. Long story short: We escaped, they find us, big battle. I barely alive. But them Munchax have evolve and became a big and strong Delta Snorlax. With his strengh we have able to beat them and tell the police. After that, we became friends, and travel for a little time. One curiosity it is the leafs in Snorlax back change patterns depending from the stage of the year: They became orange like the trees in summer; in springtime they became pink and go on. Also we are able to fully recover Delta Bulbasaur! Yey! We follow separate paths after that.

Welp, I think thats enough for now. Perhaps it should be better end for now. There other adventures I would like to register, but I think I stop for.

After finishing the last sentence, Heart decided to stop for now and perhaps sleep a little since he is not doing to much.

Forthright is glad to go out in the rain. She instinctively trusts Shiva until proven otherwise. Must be that Breeder's instinct?
She doesn't really know Starmie particularly well yet, since Starmie's been in the PC. So of those options, she will chuckle warmly at being carried by Shiva.

She is interested in all the water Pokemon right now - it seems to change with the weather!



Cherubi really enjoys hanging around on Tropius' neck or sheltering under his giant wings. She's gotten plumper since yesterday!




"Dr. Hypericac has moved on to other pursuits, I believe. He was going to stay in Stair City taking a few commissions for various people. Then south to Botanville, then eventually on to Orre again. We only had him here a few days for help with a few particular projects."

Take 1XP for the art, and Ventus should get one as well for roleplay. Been fun to see a sociologist sociolizing.
