Also, couldn't Shiva just wait until Tomorrow morning to go to the Department Center in the morn to buy those upgrades, before continuing to the Shelter? That way their are no Flashbacks, and the new day can begin in earnest without delays!

Thank you for accepting my points. That's fine too and Ventus can tag along if he comes to the Shelter that Day too if he likes - that way he'd be the first one to know about her Almanac'Dex' - I'll leave you decide on whether you would like to be that or not.

Let me just type out a quick Training Session as technically Shiva still has a free Encounter Slot.

Ven's going to be busy searching the lower floors for potential sales while Shiva goes shopping, so her secret dex will still be well kept to her!

Also, does this Charmeleon battle count as Ven's 3rd Encounter Slot? If it doesn't, Ven will just go to a busy street corner with Raphael and began playing his Scimitar with them preforming/singing along with him in order to try and earn some Poke from the performance/advertise his skills for anyone to request them in the future!

I don't want more detail about Orre though, Shiva just desired to know where it is located. More interested in anything that has to do with that Relic Stone.

Point I'm trying to make is that these kinds of things are Nathan's area of expertise, and that I would very much like it if that were to be acknowledged on a more frequent basis.

Ask him about Orre's location?  Yup, he can tell ya where it is.  Some of its history and terrain?  Yup, he's got that covered.  Significant people in the region?  Covered.

There's no better person in Creshire to ask about those kinds of topics than Nathan.  And I'd like that to actually be...you know, relevant.

Agreed! I've been trying to do this by having Ventus trying to learn/help with the Old Unown translations and further archeological work, since my character figures that by bolstering his interest into those aspects of the boy, they'll eventually maybe develop some sort of cameradence that WON'T be subject to explosive emotional emissions. Wouldn't behoove Shiva to at least indulge their niche a little, especially since its only going to grow more useful as time goes on, not less, and being totally alienated from the expert on the matter could make things.....difficult.

Good luck with that. Cameradence and Nathan dont mix in the same phrase. Its more easily teach rocks to dance, them try understand Nathan. Heart, Ventus and Shiva know this very well. Shiva tell about it.

...I just don't particularly find it fun to have my character's niche being basically ignored or made irrelevant.  It's fine that Shiva looks for information on her own, but Nathan's the one (usually talkative) Creshirean in the group, and this is his home region.  And finding information on anything from other regions is...incredibly difficult.

And he'd REALLY appreciate someone sharing his interest or asking him about it.  Seriously.  You can count the number of Creshireans as well versed as him in international lore and history on one or two hands.  The usefulness of the information isn't necessarily in its relevance to the plot.

First chapter is over, so Nathan's plot relevence has diminished significantly.  If he's 'guiding' the group, it'll be because this is his home, not because of Mesprit.

Nathan has a lot of capacity for camraderance.  Just sayin'.

Ah sorry if Heart and much of the others still tired of being be threat the way Nathan threat them bad lately. There is much reasons to the others ignore Nathan and try to avoid. Reasons I already mention here in the thread before (more them one time) and it is complete unecessary to repeat myself. Heart is simple tired and frustratred to be friendly with Nathan, and Ventus tired of trying help the boy. And Shiva even she still someway loyal to him, she beguin to dubious if is wortly hold such friend with Nathan. Like I always say: Karma is a bitch. And everything you do, someday will come back to you. And now Nathan anti-social (yes I still think Nathan is anti-social) is back to take his bills: His friends is trying to avoid him, and have people who dont trust with him (Heart and Valder).

So yeah, the group have several reasons to avoid/ignore Nathan presence a lot. Like Heart say to Shiva: Nathan is like a wall of spikes. The more you try punching the wall to understand Nathan, more spikes stuck in your hands and hurting you. And from where I can remember, Arial is the only character who like feel pain (my character in Celadon City campaigh). The others not.

*Raising a eyebrow* Really? Them I failed to see that so called "cameradence* between the silent threatment, the way Nathan talk to Heart about not even consider him part of the group, the rude way he talk with the others, along with other reasons.

Nope. Nathan is a Pandora box me and Heart decided to simple give up in understand. Nathan will have to make the next steps, because Heart already try to reach Nathan and failed. If Nathan can, good job. If not, welp, we tried. Nathan its not some kind of child Heart need to hold the hand to show the way. Nathan itself will need to help himself. In this moment, the only one who can help Nathan is himself. Since he refuse to let others get close to him. And the others who he let get close...get scars. Not physical, but in his emotions. Ventus is a vivid proof of that.

Whoahw, I congratulate you for keeping Heart being so adamant, Spirit. Honestly, not sarcastically, this needs strength. I have not much of a problem if Heart remains like that, but if he starts with insulting or offensive behaviour, Shiva will inevitably step in simple because she cannot tolererate such a thing, to none unless she really despises the target.

Nobody's even really asked in character why Nathan's so...prickly. It'd be a good deal easier to understand him if someone did. Everything I've had him do has a reason attached to it, and it's not just a grating personality thing.

And where Nathan fails, Kirlia tries to fill in the gaps instinctively. Which is a VERY important point that Heart seems to have missed entirely.

On a different note...

I'm actually considering picking up another Fire type from the Shelter.  Emphasizing Nathan's tendency to be a 'passionate flame' (hence his preference for Psychic and Fire types) a bit more.  (Psychic also meshes well with his knowledgeable side)

Charmeleon might make a nice pick, if maybe an expensive one...another Fire type might work as well, though.

Plus, Nathan could always use more pokefriends.
