'.......I had thought that was a horrible, horrible walking daydream I experienced last night, but I nor my mind can deny what I witness now: Nathan has somehow fully opened that MONSTER's heart and deeply bonded with it. That by all rights he could achieve this blasphemous camaradence with that elderitch nighmater demon should be beyond impossible , a bond that should not ever be, but he somehow manage to do it anyway. *Shivers* ......I don't know HOW he achieved this, and I don't WANT to know. So long as he keeps that...that twisted paradox AWAY from me, he can French kiss it for all I don't know and don't CARE. '

Is Ven adopting some of Shiva's 'Ignore and stay away from that demondog with force and gusto'-attitude here in some way?

In a manner of speaking, yes. After discovery the Full Truth and Extent of Nathan's bond with Orthros last night, he had an rather.....severe reaction to it. Reason for it could be boiled down to 'his own hidebound and paranoid beliefs clashing and tortuously sparking against the fact that maybe Orthros isn't a completely evil being that deserves death, parahship, or banishment.' Or even more simply put, he currently incapable of accepting the belief that Orthros is a good little puppy now and that Nathan has truly bonded with him, and instead classifys it as a twisted impossibility that the boy STILL achieved through nebulous (and to his mind, terrorfying) ends that he simultaneously accepts and rejects.

Its like an unstoppable force meets an unmovable object, with 'Ven's Paraniod and Hatefull Views Toward's Orthros' and 'The Proof that Orthros Isn't Completely Baby Eating Evil' substituting either part of that saying.

There is also his mind thrusting upon the imagine of his late? sister's own relationship with her dog Pokémon in an subtle/unsubtle way of impressing on him the Truth of the matter.

You could accurately say that views of Orthros' and Nathan's relationship have not changed in the slightest, but also have drastically so. It really weird what happened to Ven, but hey, he's not normal in the head by any stretch of the imagination....

Well, hopefully it can only develop in a more positive direction from here.  Because I would quite like it if Orthros isn't perpetually afraid of Ventus.

Can't Ventus and Orthros just mutually fear and leave the hecky alone each other? At least in this state Ven doesn't want to brutalize the dog or fight the urge to take it to a river and drown it himself; he just wants to be nowhere near them when he's by Nathan's side (And Nathan by extension!).

Still doesn't really solve anything, even though Orthros probably isn't going to be immediately running and hiding whenever Ventus walks into the same room as him any more, thinking about it a little more...

But yes, this is a somewhat more tolerable mindset that Ventus is adopting. It's a good development.

Ah, that sounds quite alright, actually. I'd be happy if we can just leave things concerning that deltadog now and at such a point and that's it... Because I'm pretty sure there won't EVER be any more positive development of this, regardless of what happens, both my chara and Ven have their beliefs and prejudices in this matter, it's not out of place at all for them to react they way they are, and I actually want to focus on other things than this. Shiva has somewhat faintly forced accepted Orthros as a member of Nathan's Pokemon, nothing more and nothing less, she doesn't really want to know much he bonded with it, she actually couldn't care less.

If Ven would desire to speak about this with her, about what he witnessed and thinks due to that, she'll be there to listen and comfort him if needed. Won't change her own view, however.

Hey Dragonstrike, is Starmie faster than Excadrill in the inni? If so, an easy way to win is to just burn Will Points on Bubble Beams for them to be accurate, spending one than one Will Point on each move so that if Excadrill tries to dodge, he'll have to keep dodging to remain safe!

Yes, Starmie is faster.

Excadrill rolled a 2 iirc.  For Dagny to even have a chance of outspeeding Nathan without a Quick Claw, she needed a 5 or 6, which none of her pokemon did.
