[Meta thread] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure : Celadon City Vandels
I think its time to level up a few things. First, going to raise Fight in point. Then I think I gonna teach a few new moves to my pokemons...I think I should teach Baltazar Wide Guard for a better protection and help the others with a good shield. Its just like Protect, but work with everyone for 19 XP. And perhaps Magnetic Rise for 28 XP. And For Melchior I think I will teach Meteor Marsh for 51 XP. Gaspar I think I teach for 1 XP (or 0 since there a not Tandorian pokemon in the pokerole). And Glare for Xenoqueen using 24 Xp. Protect for Carracosta for 11 XP and Rollout, Withdrawn and Bide for 0 XP. I using the Tandorian wiki as reference to teaching moves since there is no Tandorian pokemons in the Pokerole Roleplaying Tools. Wishing there is.

Level 1 moves are equivalent to 0 exp in Pokerole as long as the GM approves it.

How does Ea have exp?  As far as I recall, she's not participated in any battles yet...

The writers do plan to add in expansions for certain fan games eventually.  However, Uranium isn't currently on that list... Sad

One BIG difference for Wide Guard is it doesn't protect you from Status moves like Protect and Detect do, so keep that in mind.

With the 20 XP from your battle with Delta Muk, you could also raise either your STR or Survival even more to up damage or Initiative, or wait until after your fight with Nelly to collect THAT XP to have even more to spend on Attributes and stuff. Your choice, though!

Yeah, refer to the Uranium Wiki pages for XP costs of moves for Tandorian Pokémon, and 0 XP moves typically are 'free' to have. Also, how much XP do you currently have for all your Pokémon? Might be able to get those moves right now if they have enough!

Carracosta doesn't have any XP, since most of it was used for.....other purposes in her long, long life.

Also, new Surprise Info for you guys: If you wish to get Egg/Move Tutor Moves on your Pokémon, then that is an acceptable form of Surprise! Base cost is the lowest possible level said Egg Move can be learned by any Pokémon + 10 XP , while Move Tutors is the opposite (As in, Highest level + 10 or more XP).

Well, at least Astronite will have a interesting defence against a few pokemon. And his move might be use to create a shield in everyone, including Reiner pokemons, so thats is something.

I wish I could but I have a total of 24 XP. If I would raise strengh it would be 2 (current strengh)x10 = 20 or Survival it would be 2x8 = 16. But thinking better windos, I been suffer a while because I dont have enough survival. In this case Windos I change my mind I raise Survival to 3.

Neat surprise! In this case I was trying to get the move Iron Head for Melchior. Neat move with decent power and powerfull effect. In this I should use the XP of the Pokemon or the Xp of Arial?

Yeap, even if it doesn't block Status Wide Shield is still a pretty strong move to employ, especially in Mass Group Fights!

Alright, if you want higher Survival, go ahead and spend that 16 XP and deduct it from Arial's total!

For Pokémon base Surprises, the cost is linked to their XP, not Arial's.

Wide Guard's a very good move for sure.  Just ask Emily.  Actually, on second thought...don't ask her.

Initiative, Strength, Accuracy...all are equally important to battles.  Make sure you think carefully about which one might benefit you the most when increased.

It's very neat for sure.  Hmmm...now I have some other things to consider...and also an exp sink for Mew potentially, since she has all sorts of weird tutor moves she can learn from throughout the many generations...you use the pokemon's exp for anything they learn, btw.

In this case Windos, I would like to get the move Iron Head. Since Metalynx learn both by Egg Move with Majungold and Move Tutor (acording to the Wiki) witch one will cost less XP?

If its an Egg Move, it'll follow those sets of rules. Hmm.....well since Solgalgo learns the move at Lv 7, Melchior can learn the move for 17 XP. Any other Egg/Move Tutor moves you want to learn while your at it, as well as any regular level up move on any of your Pokémon?

Hmm, lets see. I think Giga Drain or Crunch would do wonders! Since the only healing ability of Melchior would be Syntesis, and I need something a little strong to help here. And combine with his Mega Evolution boost+Leech Seed = A awesome tank Tank.

You would be better off learning Night Slash, since that only costs 38 XP, while Crunch would cost more due to the rules in place. However, Giga Drain can be learnt for 24 XP due to Tapu Bulu learning the most at Lv 14! Melchior could also learn Metal Bomb or Curse if you want an Always Accurate Attack or dem stat boosts!
