[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

"Back when we first visited Wineberry, I was...threatened.  I later learned that the person who threatened me is likely associated with the water scimitars.  The rest of my group soundly defeated him by pure coincidence after I was forced to flee from him, but he got away..."

"...his Pinsir didn't though.  The bug was sent to the Shelter for Disobedient Pokemon for a short time before it got returned to him.  What worries me about this trainer are two things..."

"...one: according to the Shelter, he lives in Cress City.  That's all they would tell me about him.  And two...he somehow has a Key Stone.  His Pinsir is capable of mega evolution, though his Pinsirite was shortly stolen by someone the rest of my group had met in the woods earlier that day, instead of turned in to the authorities like it should have been."  

"It might be a long shot because information is so scarce, but if you could find some information on that Mega Pinsir using trainer for me, that'd be spectacular."

"Porygon."

Porygon dives into the computer. The screen lights up with a scroll of information.

"Ok...looks like there are exactly two male trainers who have League access to a Key Stone and who also live in Cress City. One Fernando Marlfox and one Jerry Sensen. Computer, print these two names and addresses. That's about all I can do for you, but if I hear anything I'll give you a call. PC box contents are protected by a slew of privacy acts and the wondrous technowizardry of Bill, so I can't tell you who owns a Pinsir."

"Oi, yeah, for sure, the Skald managed to fix it! Here it is! Be very careful. Those wings are delicate. Cottonee, be ready to cushion this flute if your master drops it!"

It seems very similar, though definitely not the exact same unique item. This one has a pinkish cast to it, and Cottonee is mesmerized by it. A mild static charge goes out as Shiva takes it, making the Hunter go "Oi!" and some of Shiva's hairs stand on end. The fluff from Altaria clings to the glassy part of the flute.

Nathan takes those names and addresses and heads on out.  

He still looks...rather thoughtful and is really silent when he sees Ventus waiting for him outside.

"Oh.  Uh, Ventus...something going on?"

Huh.  Normally, if Nathan had requested something, he'd bring it up at the soonest opportunity...

"Alright. We will keep each other updated. Don't be afraid to use whatever tools prove necessary."

Ventus gives Dagney a tired yet never the less grateful smile, and nodded his head in response to her advice.

"Once again, I thank you for your assistance my friend, and rest assured that I will not hesitate to use any and all means to safeguard myself and the group. I pray to Reshirim that you'll continue to excel, and eagerly look forward to your match against Shiva! She's a wily one despite what her appearance suggests and employs strategies similar to mine, so prepare yourself accordingly now!"

The sociologist then bid farewall to the Steel Wonder, and exited the Gym altogether, waiting at the entrance to both let Nathan catch up (since he felt they wanted his company), and to read the texts he received but couldn't answer due to inopportune time. The first message he read was Nathans, and that ended up causing a small frown to tug at his lips as he shook his head ruefully.

'It appears that last night's conversation is due for a repeat, unfortunately. *Mental Sighing* However, I can't avoid or lie about it if I don't wish to infuriate the boy, so I suppose I'll have to tread more carefully and speak more.....gently about the topic. *More mental sighing* Terrific.....'

The next series of messages were concerning his plans for a great big feast and Disobedience training for his Nidorino. The first message caused his mouth to water at all the delicious and non-poisonous food the collector could make whip up, but since he was planning to have a celebratory feast with his brothers and other things that could kill his appetite, his attendance was an uncertainty at this point. Helping them out with Nidorino was not, though, so his return message was thus:

"Dinner sounds absolutely lovely, but I have other plans and obligations that could prevent me from joining in on the event, so I can make no promises I'll be there. However, I can happily comply with your request concerning Nidorino if it proves necessary!"

Le message for Ventus

"No problemo Ventus! I just waiting the message of the other people to see if everyone is okay. If you cant join, dont need to be worry, I will take some leftlovers. Welp, getting return to the market! See you soon my friend! Also thank you my friend for helping me with Nidorino!"

Heart guard the phone and think. "Hmm, well, it seems everyone is gonna be busy. Should I send a message for Nathan? Perhaps its not a good idea. Since Kirlia kinda hate me for what I say (and Nathan dont like me much) perhaps it would be a bad idea to send a message to him...and he always is nervous when he with me, so he will problably not going to come...ugh but it could be rude not invite him too. At least I need to have some decency...I will see if more people will join to the food, or not. Lets see."

"Aww! Th...thank you!! Of course I'll be as careful as the universe allows with such a precious precious object!!!" Seems like it wasn't only Cottonee who was somewhat mesmerized by it.

That static charge emitted reminded her on the waves of psychic energy running through her upon stroking the small Espurr she found after awaking from that lucid dream, even if this one from the flute felt wastly different - if felt wonderful though, pleasant, unexpected, almost magical. Shiva could only smile to herself at this as she twice as careful as she'd do with a freshly found Pokemon Egg turning the Flute a little in her hands to investigate it from all sides, not touching the delicate wings once, before handing it back to the Fortune Hunter. "This was awesome. Has it done 'such a thing' once before already?"

Ventus doesn't immediately respond to their inquiry, as they stood by the entrance and gazed off into the distance, unapproachable and unreadable. Several minutes passed in ponderous silence, until at last he finally spoke up, his voice tired and.....melancholy.

"Remenising, Nathan. My thoughts harkened to distant times as I waited for you, so I decided to head them and take a stroll down memory lane. .......Now, I wonder if I made the right choices so long ago. "

A great big sigh escaped his lips as he said this, and at that moment it seemed as if the goofy and deranged sociologist was a decade older than he was.

"The past can't be changed, though, and its impossible to know whether or not things would have been better the other route, so I suppose its pointless contemplating it. Still....what could have been.........what could have been."

The researcher then fully turned towards Nathan, and gesture in the general direction of the Pokémon Dessert Store.

"I've heard word of a bakery that specializes in the most delectable of pasteries and deserts modeled after Pokémon, and wish to check it out with my brothers Abaddon and Michael to treat them for overcoming Dagney's formidable Pokémon and earning us all triumphant victory. My child (Abaddon) especially deserves such a sweet reward, as he took out both her Bronzong and Magnezone by himself handily, albeit not without great difficulty on his part. Since you came all the way here because of a request I made, I thought I would invite you to accompany us. After all, you too have conquered Dagney's Gym, and deserve your 'just desserts' for such a deed."

Ven's words and offer are undeniable genuine and well meaning, but the lack of vigor and ethusiam in them is painfully noticeable. Yeap, he's definitely unhappy about things right now.....and seems like its more than just Genesect that's the source of his fell mood.

Along the way their, the researcher couldn't help but voice his curiosity at their earlier comment, as it reminded them of their earlier comments on their food stuff preferences.

"So you are not partial to sweets, treats, or traditional caffeinated beverages like most, hmm? ......In that case, what ARE your preferred food stuff and beverages you enjoy? If I'm going to treat you in the future, it would be good to know where take you, or what to get...."

"...my mom and I have been scraping by on what we can for years.  I've still got some spending cash for medical supplies.  It's no big deal...really, it's not.  Just take it."
