[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

"Shiva look a little nervous about this pokemon battle. But I sure she can do it." Heart appear beside Ventus and ask him. "Heya, mind if I sit here to watch the battle?"

Ventus perked up as Heart approached him and announced his presence, causing him to turn towards them and wave them over with a friendly grin, taking note of Nathan's/Kirlia's displeasure but choosing to ignore it in favor of greeting his friend. "Heart, its truly a delightful relief to see you no longer confined to the infirmary my friend! You can certainly can park yourself right by my side, and perhaps help me cheer Shiva on to victory if you'd like!" The empath said the last part with a note of expectation in it and a side glance towards Nathan, as if implying that he should focus on cheering Shiva/talking to him instead of riling up the boy up. He could understand both side's animosity towards the other by this point, but he rather not have them have a passive aggressive fight in the middle of Shiva's.......

Afterwards, he mainly focused on the task cheering his most blessed with Lucifer, Pluse, and Minun, each of them doing their part to ensure that everyone knew just who they were rooting for. Plusle and Minun were hopping and dancing on his shoulder, their check pouches occasionally sparking when Shiva pulled off a big play or did something clever and fun looking in the mice's eyes, their cheerful and jubilant squeeks ringing throughout the stadium in support of their master and hopefully not to the point of detriment! Lucifer was preforming impressive aerial maneuver as the fight dragged on, with him letting out a enthusiastic (yet not ear bleeding) screech and doing a mid air twirl when the action truly started to heat up! Finally, Ventus was their eagerly  watching his darling fae fancy friend performance in battle with an discrete intensity that rivaled none, clapping whenever she pulled off an impressive combo (He's done that several times already!), and standing up and cheering whenever she knocked out one of Dagney's Pokémon or did something quite impressive. Thus far neither of those things happened, but its only a matter of time in his eyes before such things happen.....

...being here to watch this battle was proving more stressful than Nathan would like.

Charmeleon's behaving himself for the most part, yes...but Nathan's got other problems to deal with later now concerning him thanks to Ventus...and now Heart is sitting here now, too...

Blegh.  This is all killing his mood rather easily combined with some of the stuff from earlier...

...and Kirlia's too, for that matter.  The fact that Kirlia's not visibly cheering for Shiva right now is rather...remarkable.  he and Nathan are just quietly watching...trying to ignore the myriad problems that have come up...

In between rallying Shiva onwards in her battle and keeping a careful eye of the Pokémon under his care lest they get up to shenanigans, Ventus kept tabs on both Nathan and Heart, as well as speaking to them whenever he could spare the attention to do so. Right now the collector seemed to be alright, but the boy......it looks as if he's in a sour mood despite the occasion and having several hours worth of quality time bolstering them. Being the Insightful man he was, he quickly cottoned on what was the source or their sudden moodiness, and had to restrain the urge to facepalm and let out a heavy sigh.

'By Reshirim flames and Kyurem's frost, is this boy an undiagnosed maniac depressive, or is his general mood that precarious? Why can't he just put aside his woes and enjoy our friend's match against Dagney, if its only intermediately?' he thought, before shaking his head and placing a hand on the young trainer's shoulder to capture their attention, giving them polite if somewhat weary smile. "Nathan, I realize that my advice is not entirely appreciated, and that you are distracted currently, but this Gym match is one supposed to be full of joy and energy for our friend Shiva struggle against Dagney. If its possible, could you try to set aside your woes and enjoy yourself? Kirlia would also be thrilled if you were as well, as would I be, so please Nathan....."

Gym Leader Dagny vs Shiva Round 3

(Okay, I should have time to quick-give orders for Round 3 before I'll be heading to bed!~)
Marill is still first in Init Order, is still standing with 3/8hp -2 Pain and paralysed.
Probopass at 4/10hp, has anythingelse then Sturdy Ability if it's the same Nathan battled, and suffers -1 Dexterity.
It's also blocked and pestered by Infestation. Muahahaha!



Phew, seeing no sparkling Zap Cannon for now relieved Shiva to some degree, but all that electricity floating the battlefield (what Type did Dagny specialize again?) combined with the strong magnetis Probopass emitted caused her hair to bristle, letting more strands stick out than usually already. N-No time to deal with that now of all costs, though! This magnetic rock must go down quickly to keep a small chance to really win this battle. Currently, Shiva was counting her blessings, as the odds were not all that bad as she may have feared.

Seeing how sparks not only fell from the ground from Probopass, her Electric rodents somewhere in the audience, but also from her sweet blue mouse again, she elogated her arm once again - Marill only had to turn around before right away leaping up and securely landing on it to welcome the healing sprays of another/Shiva's currently last Paralyze Heal. Hey, it didn't even sting like a Potion sometimes does!~ Earns Shiva another smooch on cheek from her.

"You're doing amazingly well against all that electricity, dear one. To keep the effect of your move," Yes, Shiva did saw these crawling shapes that came to Marill's calling as she adjusted her glasses - "we have to keep standing though. There's...no turning back now.... Please keep standing, there's not too much missing anymore, and show us more bubbles consolidated in a beam. Bet you have realized how stronger this is as back then when you were a small Azurill, haven't you?"

Marill delights in the power of her fully realized Bubblebeam against a strong opponent. Shiva comes to realize that perhaps this had a little something to do with her former master - there, she wasn't good enough, wasn't strong enough somehow. Now, against Dagny, everything is a little different.

But I couldnt stay in the infirmary forever like a Slakoth. Also, thank you for letting me join with ya to help cheer Shiva! Oh and I working about my Nidorino disobedience. Finally since poison-type always is complicate to deal. Even more the Nidorino evolution line." Tynamo, Mudkip and Axew was doing their best to cheer up Shiva: Tynamo was using the eletricity from, perhaps even helping Minun and Plusle with the lighting show. Netune was using his water to make some bubbles, and Koa...he was making a dancing show with dragon dance. 

"I wanting to ask you people if we could delay our depart to Cress City just for a day. Since I can work in the Shellter for a 2 days (beggining today) to deal with Nidorino rebellion. Tomorrow will be the last day and then we can go to Cress City. But if we did need to go to Cress City, I think we could go, but I would like to help Caesar, my Nidorino...is unimportant for a trainer follow his pokemon right?"

This time Ventus actually does sigh, and shakes his head at their reticent behavior, none to pleased with it whatsoever, but in a put upon/disappointed way rather than angry. "So be it then. I can't force positivity or anything upon you if brooding silence and inclusivity is to your preference, but neither do I have pay heed to your problems as well. I'll just take the path of least resistence, and leave you to yourself." With that being said, the empath turned away from them and proceeded to completely and utterly ignore them until they darn well stop mopping and constructively handle their problems for a change of pace. He's remarkably patient and attentive/generous to them despite basically the boy doing everything in his power at some point or another to offend/piss him off, but even he has his limits.

(Welp, Ven's done dealing with Nathan for the time being, since if he's going to be moody/snarky despite having several other reasons past and present not to be [One of which is Kirlia's wellbeing/happiness] , then he can jolly well do it relatively alone. )

Kirlia doesn't get why Heart is including Nathan in this question when he so blatantly doesn't care about Nathan's opinion.

Just thinking about that is making him angrier.

...which is slowly causing Nathan's cool to heat up in turn...

...at this point, Ventus (@Lord Windos) will probably realize that Kirlia's chaffing FAR more because of Heart than Nathan is, as it's rather difficult to fully ignore...

Nathan's also acutely aware of just how much of 'his' anger is actually Kirlia's...

...he's read about this before...how trainers of the Ralts line sometimes end up sharing most of their thoughts and feelings with their pokemon...and vice versa...it's rare, and only typically happens when the two are REALLY close...

...Nathan doesn't want this to escalate any further to the point where it will cloud his judgement and ruin the moment...

Nathan and his pokemon end up moving as far from Heart as they can...

...and it's like a switch was flipped as soon as they do.  Nathan relaxes (however, he's visibly shaking from the emotional strain), Kirlia calms down...well, mostly.  He's still not visibly cheering for Shiva like he normally is...hmmm...

To Shiva, Marill/former Azurill will always be strong member of her Team, a natural antidepressant when she's not doing well, and an incredibly cute fae mouse who has earned her father's praise, no matter how her former owner has seen her. If he and his Azumarill would see them now and how much they've grown, how much dormant potential there was, maybe things would be different - but that's far too late now.

The moment this blue mouse missed her Final Attack though and promptly got punished for that, the roolercoaster ride must have gone downhill with increased speed, as this was how it felt. Not showing any visibly reaction on the outside, Shiva recalled Marill into the safety of her Pokeball. She's not sad. Not angry. She's not feeling like this is over yet. Things have just gone a little more dire, but night has not come yet.

Out of the Pokeball Shiva then drew and threw up into the air off the cuff, came the Pokemon of hers that everyone seemingly has forgotten when giving her suggestions of which ones to use, but also the one she herself was sure she wanted to use against Dagny from the moment she has shown her a particular move of hers...




Her tail twitched as the lightfooted landed on the battlefield, awaiting to do well in her Trial Battle. Depends on how fast she can strike now, whether that pained Probopass will have the first call of attacking or not.

gave one curious look over to Shiva after she has noticed 1. that her foe was a huge stony creature and 2. there was a tile of water nearby! Wheeee! She already prepared to leap right into it to become translucent and one with the not-present waves, but Shiva only shook her head on this. "No, dear one. Not yet... Do you see how your foe, that Probopass, is actually spinning relatively slowly? It's almost knocked out, so please hit it with a pulsing wave of water from yourself. This is your battle, so we'll make it fabulous. At least, we'll do what we're capable of... alright?"
