I believe that despite the fate of this match lying precariously in the balance, Shiva will pull through and achieve victory. Even if she fails to do so, I know she had given it her all and proven herself mighty enough to challenge the Steel Wonder herself, so I will proud of her regardless. Still, I do hope she wins!"

"My my, so this is the Detla Porygon that Dagney has been furreting away all this time! Impressive and unique moves back up by Technician, and both its pure Steel typing and Conversion to provide it formidable toughness against most anything! Its no wonder that you has a healthy respect and fondness for it, my friend, but I do it does not prove to be a totally insurmountable challenge for our friend......." Ventus casually said to Heart (but loud enough Nathan could hear and comment on it as well), his tone full of intrigue for the digiduck as he gestured to it with one hand. Seeing them for himself and recalling the collecter's tales of his past sightings/encounters with them, the researcher couldn't help but wonder what other Delta species exist out in the world, and what unique traits they possess......

Nathan doesn't respond even though it's loud enough for him to hear. He's focusing on the battle, trying to recover from what occurred mere moments ago, though it felt like an eternity. Delta Porygon isn't all that interesting to him. Unlike Delta Houndour, it's actually documented in some capacity already, even if Dagny's the only one with that documentation so far.

He's also keeping an eye on Charmeleon, who seems to have taken an interest in watching the fellow Blaze user on the battle field...hmmm...

Kirlia isn't paying attention to the battle at all right now, though. He's trying to calm down by quieting his mind with meditation. For Nathan's sake. He hadn't expected that...weird reaction from Nathan. Plus, he'd just remembered what Nathan asked of him awhile ago...

...not that he particularly cares much right now. Nor does Nathan really blame him for it...

"I agree my friend. Shiva still have plenty of tricks in her hands. If you permited a analysis of mine...in terms of brutal force, you and Nathan have tough pokemon. But Shiva have plenty of status moves, along with other powerfull tricks, even when she have prefer have a team with more psychics and fairy types. From the three of you, Shiva might be the member with more potential to be the strongerst of all of us. Of course, thats just my opinion based in what I see until now. Status moves to paralyze, free, or even limit the moves of your foes is a powerfull thing. If you control the moves of your enemy, you have more chances to fight. Of course this is just my opinion. What your opinion Ventus?"

Gym Leader Dagny vs Shiva Round 7

3/8hp for Braixen, means -2 Pain. +1 Strength.
4/8hp for Dragon Type Delta Porygon, which goes first in Init Order.

So cloooose! Shiva could practically taste the defeating of that Deltamon she oh so wanted to see going down for her personal sentimental victory against the whole species of Delta Pokemon - that was before it consumed that Sitrus Berry though, but her magical fox was still standing and subliminally - no, on purpose was rising the temperature of the whole battlefield by swirling his enlighted and blazing basswood stick around, all to show he's still there, furious, serious and eager to keep his foe away from himself.

It was partially working as Delta Porygon missed one of his moves (causing Shiva to released the breath she was unwillingly holding this Round), but on the other hand Braixen was clearly affected by the prior attack as his movements grew...slower and more unstable. Looks like another Paralyizis, damn it! Should have stocked up on Paralyze Heals, her inner was adivcing her. ....Well, too late for that now, but searching and rummaging for it in her stuff a little longer than for Pokeballs or Paralyze Heals, she ventually found what she was looking for, but she's not reveling it to Dagny yet!

Somethingelse has changed though, or at least was new that wasn't there before...: Did the room smelled like oil before already and Shiva has simply not noticed it? Impossible, she'd notice right away if it'd be like that. That Delta Porygon though...did it really remind her on a Pokemon she already saw on a picture and even asked Mr. Pin about? Did it really look a not unlike a DRAGON? Arrrgh, it's quite a while ago and she can't really remember that picture... Driven by wondering, Shiva drew that Almanac of hers, searched for the Pokemon she has in mind - she does remember its name, Tracton! - and compared it with that Delta Porygon by switching her gaze between the screen and her now draconic foe. Not 'reading the Entry', that'll can be done later. How anyone in the party could see her with that 'PokeDex', she doesn't care about now. (What picture does the Almanac actually show, Iron, the Beta Sprite like shown for Shuckleball or the one which is used in-game?)

Regardless what it is, she frowns at it, then packs the Almanac away, and looks up to Dagny and the Delta-Porygon that was probably still going up the walls. "Have you heard about a Pokemon called 'Tracton', Dagny? Sure you have, as it's partial Steel Type... What an interesting turn of the battle." A slight pain stroke Shiva's heart though, seeing how Marill would have her fun casting Ice Beams with full force here... "Let's see... Braixen, please hold on just a bit more! No return anymore. I know you dilike that feeling of being hindered in your movements, and I'm disliking seeing you like this. [b]Your foe will likely use the same move again, take it since we cannot prevent it, then leap back to me to heal you up, creating more Embers as you charge to the battlefield again
You're doing very well, I AM proud of you, there's not too much missing anymore to make your foe faint. Go for it, burn the dragon, SHOW NO FEAR OF THAT DRAGON!"

----------------------
Orders for this Round: As soon as Delta Porygon has used his first action, Braixen (before he attacks) makes a leap backwards to Shiva, who will heal his Paralyzes by using (spraying?) a Lum Berry Decoction on him, as Trainers are not allowed on the battlefield. He then charges forward, burning basswood stick dangerously held in front of him, casting two powered Embers on Delta Porygon! Shall Delta Porygon survive the first one and Braixen is still standing, we'll let his second Ember hit by spending a Will Point on it, if there are enough dice left that is. Hope these orders work and are clear enough, and this Round will turn things around once more!

Accuracy Roll Ember 1: 3 Dext again as the Paralyzis has been healed + 2 Fight + 3 Channel - 2 Actions - 2 Pain = 4d6
Accuracy Roll Ember 2: 3 Dext again as the Paralyzis has been healed + 2 Fight + 3 Channel - 3 Actions - 2 Pain = 3d6
Damage Roll: 4*Strength + 2 power of the move + 1 STAB + 1 due to held Charcoal +2 due to Blaze triggered = 10d6! -1 damage though as it's NE unless Delta Porygon decides to change its Type again.
Additional notes: Still 1 CD to inflict Burn1.

Indeed, Nathan is wondering when Shiva went and got herself what looks for all intents and purposes to be a pokedex...

...

...and yeah, this was close...a little TOO close...Nathan's analyzing this battle carefully...he'd been hoping to see little Pancham in action again, see some more of those AWESOME Drain Punches...he could have certainly saved Shiva a little trouble...

...

...this is reminding him of two very, very famous quotes he's studied...one by someone very well known, and one by someone not so well known...

...

Kirlia's paying more attention to the battle now, having centered himself a little more.  Charmeleon is still watching Braixen veeerrrryyy carefully...that fox's firepower could easily rival his own, and he's only using Ember...hmmm...

Well, one way or another, this battle was going to be ending soon!  Let's see what happens...

Awwww, Dagny has called her waterly Eeveelution regal! This delighted Shiva to bits.

Even MORE delighted to see was that both the 'dragon' and the Deltamon were defeated. Hehe... It was a bit hard for Shiva to actually believe, but with a bit of luck she has a chance to be still standing when the Steel Wonder's last Pokemon of this battle falls. Rollercoaster ride increases in speed for an epic final act.

Even if she'd want to recall Braixen, he may not enjoy it seeing how he's practically BURNING with energy and simply awaited what his next foe will be, basswood stick still blazing and still rising the temperature of the field. He only needed to look backwards over his shoulder to understand that he has done an amazing job, that Master is incredibly pleased with him, and that they'll keep going. If he faints now, he faints with the feeling of not fainting for nothing. "I'll stay with Braixen. But I wouldn't mind if you'd open the pool of water again when she comes out. I'm more curious what you'll send out, actually..."

Braixen will be facing Excadrill. (2) + 4 = 6. Shiva has more dexterity though so Braixen goes first.

Nathan's eyes go wide when Excadrill comes out.

Either Dagny wants to make absolutely sure Braixen goes down before he does too much damage while also trying to break Vaporeon's defenses...or she's choosing to not use her Magnezone so Shiva still has a reasonable chance to pull this victory out of the bag...he's not sure which one it is...

"This is it, Charmeleon...she could win this.  She just has to soften that mole up enough for Vaporeon to finish the job...ironically, this is kinda similar to how my battle with Dagny ended..."

(@Iron, how does Charmeleon react to seeing Excadrill come out?  This might be a...touchy subject for him.)

Gym Leader Dagny vs Shiva Round 8

Oh, Dagny's last Pokemon was the Unovian mole? How interesting to see - This reminded her on that run-in with two Drilbur along the way to Arrowroot Village. She was silently hoping that the other, the one Ventus did not catch after she and Nightshade defeated them both, was doing well and was not overly lonely.

Braixen was silently grinning as best as a fox can do so. He'll show that steely mole his firepower, that was for sure, how many bruises it'll have to deal with afterwards will show itself then. He reared up as he inhaled as much of the shimmering air around him as his lungs allowed, then purposefully leaned forward only to charge a moment later, releasing all the inhaled air as an....

...Accuracy Roll SINGLE EMBER, now with Crit Chance!: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 3 Channel - 3 Pain = 5d6
Damage Roll: 4*Strength + 2 power of the move + 1 STAB + 1 due to held Charcoal + 3 due to max. Blaze = ...11d6. +1 autodamage as Fire is SE on an Excadrill! Muahahaha!
Additional notes: There's still 1 CD to inflict a Burn1.
