[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins

Yeap, which is exactly what I've been doing, as I don't want to train/use Michael to the exclusion of all else of my Pokémon and I genuinely like playing with/bonding with all of them at one point or another. Its why Raphael doesn't see that much battle usage anymore and Apsis/Michael is generally back up to Ven's other family members, and trying to build up the rest of my team so they become just as strong as they are. Of course, that means Abaddon and Michael are likely going to be benched for a long time while Haneal, Lucifer/Lilith and Egg Pokémon get all the attention in the future.

Ao Guang will require special planning and dedicated days to him, since he's both powerful enough but needs discipline/bonding in order to be safely used in battle.

I just hope Ven doesn't come across anymore Pokémon he would want to add to his family, as its getting hard enough to manage everyone as is right now.....

Very true.  A Breloom definitely has the hardest time learning Spore out of all the mushrooms, that's for sure.  Foongus and Amoongus have a comparably hard time learning it too (disregarding Breloom's inability to learn Spore without learning it as a Shroomish), and Morelull and Shiinotic still take awhile to learn it, all things considered.

Paras and Parasect are terrifying, though.  They learn the move for 22 exp...(and they also learned it at level 17 in Gen 4!  Yikes! And even 25-30 in gen 1-3 is still the lowest level of any of them!)

Yup, definitely...I'll manage, though!

Yet those Pokémon also have other moves that are (more) worthwhile spending XP on along the way, and I don't think evolving prevent them from learning Spore at all unlike Breloom, so they have that advantage as well. Don't have the pure firepower of a the kickboxing shroom, though, so it balances out somewhat!

The Paras line has bad level up move pool and a crippling weakness to Fire, Flying, and just about everyone other common type in the game, so it learning Spore at such a low level is more of a saving grace for the poor guy, rather than pure OP. Sure, Breloom is quad weak to flying and suffers other bad weakness, but at least he has a slew of useful resistences and moves to defend himself with. Poor Parasect doesn't even have that.......

Yeah, but Spore is strong enough to beeline for, obviously.  Of course, Amoongus needs 62 exp to learn it, so...yeah.

Sure, you've got a lot of weaknesses, but on the bright side, you also have REALLY easy access to Stun Spore and Poison Powder too.  And you get Slash.  And Giga Drain.  And Fury Cutter.  And Aromatherapy as a bonus.  Gotta make up for that typing somehow, right?

Also, I noticed something interesting about Shroomish in Pokerole...they actually nerfed its ability to learn Spore.  Shroomish learns it for 50 exp, right?  And the movesets are mostly based on the XY learnsets, right?  Well, in XY, Shroomish learns Spore at level 45 (and 40 in ORAS and later, 54 in RSE).  So...yeah.  Check out that nerf, yo, however slight it is.

 Good night! Heart

Well, if I'm going to play for Valder, I have to know what moves his Pokémon has first, unless Iron wants to autopilot them instead of myself. I'm fine with either or, really. If I am playing as Valder, I won't use Hypnosis with Haunter, so fair play there!

It'd be REALLY hard for him to use Hypnosis without spending a Will Point anyways.  1 D6 accuracy for a single action (3 Dex + 1 Fight + 1 Canalize - 4 Accuracy from what I see in Round 1).  Oof.

I'm fine with either, too.  I'm also fine with waiting for Nylon if things aren't progressing too quickly for everyone else so far.

Huh, but what has happened with starting Ven's Day and everything he wanted to do, if I may ask that?
