Valder starts smiling at the weird symbols. He doesn't know why, but it gives him appreciation of Haunter.

Nathan vs Valder Round 10

Ralts appears, both hands clutching a purple pearl as big as his head. He stumbles, unused to its relative weight. All the children clap when Ralts comes out - this cutie is what they think of when they think of a Pokemon.

Ralts looks around, soaking up the happiness, and smiling a bit himself. Then he turns to the ghost and quails a bit.

With his massive Strength training, Valder's Pokemon win the battle! He gets extra cake, and cake for all his Pokemon. He also gets a Lava Cookie! (Full Heal).

Valder gets 16Xp for dividing among his Pokemon and 12 for himself. Nathan gets 10 and 5. (This includes both the # of Pokemon defeated as well as a little catchup XP for Valder).

Nathan scoops up the pearl and deposits it in his bag, then scoops up Ralts and gently hugs him.  "Thank you for always trying your best, buddy..."

Then he looks at Valder.  "Don't go anywhere.  I need to speak with you about some stuff when we get back to the GPC."

Next on the list...speaking to the birthday party's host...birthday party...why is that thought bothering him?  Hmmm...well, Swiftfire's is coming up...but no, that's not quite it...eh, probably doesn't matter right now.  Anyways...back to talking to the parent!

"Sorry about the webs, sir.  Need me to help clean them up?  And how was the battle?  Did we overdo it, or...?"

Once everything with Potts has been agreed and arranged as well as a delighted 'See you later then, I promise to take good care of your telescope then!~' has been exchanged, Shiva and elusive Gothitelle eventually continued their stroll through Ginger Town. Before they ran into the Astronomer, they were mostly taking a walk through the familiar small town without a clear aim, Shiva was simply enjoying seeing this place again after quite a while and all that technology in Stair City. The big city certainly has it's own advantages, that much she knew very well given how she grew up in a big city, but from time to time a small change in air and surrounding was needed to keep the magic and wonders of a big city alive and fresh. Also, if she will stay in Chreshire for a little longer after the journey and will be accepted to learn the practical parts of Pokemon Breeding at the local Daycare, it'll be this town she'll make herself a temporal home, definitely not before she has paid actual home a visit though. Huh, simply pondering over all this gave her a good feeling - future seemed bright for her, in one way or the other.

Now, with Marill and Helios somewhat wounded from participating in the battle, paying the local Pokemon Center was more urgent than it was before, so she made a turn in direction to go there. Seeing how...small the Lobby was in comparison to Stair caused a slight culture shock within her, but it soon flew away as she stepped forward at the Counter and was greeted by one of the much fewer Nurse Joy in duty. "Oh, ehm, hi! I just wanted to ask whether you could place these two-" *placing Kadabra and Marill in their respective Pokeballs onto the counter* "-in one of the precious Healing Machines for me. ...Thank you! Their not fainted and not panting 'cuz of pain, so they probably won't need too long to be fine again. I'll pick them up in around two hours, alright? ...That's fine? Perfect, thank you lots!" Oh valuable Healing Machine - what would be a Trainer's life without it, Shiva certainly strugged to imagine how it was back then during Sarimanok's time, when there were none of these machines and battles were so much more dangerous. Roughly the same sentiments for the PC that she now used to bring Tropius, Braixen and Nightshade back to her person.

The next stop by was the local PokeMart. No comparison AT ALL to the huge Department Store, but way less rides with the escalator was appreciated this time. Here's what Shiva ends up buying:

- 2 new Paralyze Heals, 200$ for each, making 400$ in total.
- 1 Full Heal to have 2 of these with her again, (1 Full Heal and 1 Lum Berry Decoction to be specific), 600$ in total.
- A simple dextrose roll of any Berry flavour they have available, for 0$ unless GM says otherwise.
----> That means a total amount of 1000$ spent, substracting from charasheet and editing in new buyings. "Thanks then, have a splendid day!"


Once that has been settled and Shiva was out of the store again, she's looking out for spot that is a little aside from the main street and the people, one where she can safely spent a little quiet time under the open sky and in fresh air (it smelled and felt different than the air in Stair City!), while none would disturb here and she can safely release Tropius without him catching any attention right away.
There, she'll eventually get herself comfortable, observe the surroundings and took a deep breath of the cleaner air, before Tropius is indeed released and being told that Shiva will need his flying capablities later then to get on top of Vapor Falls when night has fallen. "But until then, we will simply stay here. Rest a little, enjoy the fresh air and spread your wings as much as you like as there's enough room for you to do so, dear one." When Tropius flapped his leaflike wings a few times in response and in delight while staying on the ground and lowered his head to receive a few appreciated pets over his forehead from his faelike fragile Master, Shiva was all willing to give him these pets and a amused smile.

For the most part, she herself just rests now, tidying and sorting her belongings a little, as well as eventually drawing her cell to 1. check how the weather will be this night - if it'll be cloudy, stargazing may not work that well - and 2. type up a message for Ventus. This time it takes her a little longer to type it up as she relatively often halted and searched for good words, as well frequently edited before hitting the 'Send' button.

Hello Ven! I just wanted to let you know that I'm still in Ginger Town. Trip to Daycare was fruitful, there are news about Ariel! No, no Eggs from her as far as I got to know, but something I find equally interesting. I'll update you on the nearest opportunity, my dear. 

So, I actually wanted to follow somethingelse but opted against it, so I didn't need to ask for Haziel on the loan for today. Still, I apreciate that you offered it to me right away when I asked. On my way through town, I also ran into an Astronomer! Or rather, he ran to me as he saw me strolling with Lilith. We shared a friendly and enjoyable Pokemon battle that I eventually won, and he recommended me good place for some stargazing and even offered me to burrow his telescope to do so, yay!~ I left mine at home in Castelia, you know. I've promised Lilith to watch the stars with her at a soonest opportunity, so I'll be doing that for tonight and therefor I'll be returning to Stair a little more late than usual. Please let the others know if they ask, and you don't have to stay awake for my sake if you're tired from working at the Shelter.

But, you know... i'd be, well, happy to spend a little more time with you, Ven... There are so many things I'd like to talk about with you, discuss with you, ask for your opinion... It's noble and caring of you to have a word with your Kingdra at first before introducing him to me. Speaks for your desire to keep me safe, haha!~ I'm in no hurry. But, do you think you'd have a bit of time for me soon, maybe during journeying through Mt Sentry (to stay safe and not get lost, I'll stick close to you, is that alright?) or at Cress City itself? Maybe we should- *here, at first Shiva wrote 'go out again', but after starring at these words in a slightly embarrased manner, she opted to write 'hang out again' instead* -or meet up for shared dinner at a local place or such. Would you be down with that?

Oh, and....well, how do I say that.... but speaking of your Kingdra, I figured out something that I'd like to...ask you. To give you a bit more time to think over it, I'll tell you right away.... So, ehm, you'll probably go hunting with him just like you do with Apsis on a regular basis, do you? Would you....be fine with taking me with you on one of these hunting trips, actually? Please? I know it sounds weird for someone like me to ask you that kind of thing, Ven. But, you know, I thought that my special Poochyena would maybe appreciate huntng for it's food once too, it's natural for this kind of species. My butterwolfly is seemingly used to humans and to stealing their food, but...well, you're hopefully getting the sentiment. Just once for now, seeing how he'll take it. Maybe not within Mount Sentry and we have to make sure not to prey a precious Furret belonging to town, but maybe outside of time there'll be enough opportunity?
I'd ask Braixen whether he'd want to try hunting out as well for diversion, he's an omnivorus Pokemon and takes food from me just fine. But you certainly know that he's not thinking too well of you, so better not do that. However...I can't help but to wonder WHY he has developed such a negative view of you sometimes. I'll keep you and him seperate, that's fine, but well...I can't do more than that, I guess. Have you as a Pokemon Sociologist actually stumbled over a case where a Pokemon really 'hates' a person? What do you think could maybe be done to paint a better picture of you for my magical fox?

Now with that dealt with and all Shiva and to do now was waiting for a reply from his side, she securely packed cell away and in the same process searched for the Pokeball her cherrylike Pokemon named after a selected family of plants and a particular female sailor, only to release her to the scene! She's giving a cheerful chirrup to her Master, earning a fond smile and stroking her rosy cheek from her. As well as the usual orchid-patterned ceramic plate filled with the sliced fruit of Tropius Shiva has just picked up freshly from him (keeping the Nanab Berry for herself again, total amount now 7 +2 withered ones) and some white powder scattered here and there slid over to Nightshade. "That's for you, my dear sunbringer, as a special snack. These are freshly picked fruit FILLED with nutients and a sweet taste, I've added to that by scattering a bit of dextrose over them. So much sugar! But sugar is energy. After I was somewhat forced to place you on my PC for every now and then, I wanted to make up to you a little this way... Just know that I value you. Just know that I care for you a lot... You ARE my dear small cherry after all, growing and growing, casting rainbowcolored leaves in the sunlight... I promised to protect you from the birds and hungry people. And you're still having your small head of yours, dear one. Enjoy your food..."

"I can have my Vulpix clean up those webs, no problem. You did perfect! Timmy is so happy. He can't wait to get his first Pokemon. He has a few years to go yet. Do you think a Ralts is a good choice?"

There were actually Healing Machines in Creshire during Sarimanok's time. Shiva might not know that. PCs are a modern invention though, at least in their current form.

The weather is clear in eastern Creshire! And just a little chilly - which is perfect for those crisp clear nights.
