Before Shiva would eventually find a seat right next to the dark oddball of researcher as if she was silently pleading 'You... You'll keep me safe, won't you? You're there if anything happens to me or my mood, won't you....dear?', she does take a subliminally interested look at the room...

...and couldn't help to just as silently chuckle to herself, which earned her another nuzzle from Kyuu as he moved a tab bit closer to Shiva, soft-hiding himself between some strands of his Master's hair as he started purring to her. This room....it felt so cold....almost suffocating for a sensitive person like her... Though maybe the fact that just shortly she practically bathed in energy from Psychic Types and the stars on the nightsky played a role in this. ...It certainly does, among with the fact that she has the habit to decorate her room for the positive mystic vibes she enjoyed oh-so much.

However, Shiva seems relucant to openly reveal the precious, small, red and hexagonal half of her own gemstone she found just recently at her person, mostly because she enjoys this little piece of jewelry, is amused and fascinated over it somewhat magically appearing in her pocket and her trust in Nathan has not fully been rebuild by now. At being asked to hand it to him, she only looks away and out of the window ...oh, there was no window at all?! The wall was it then... before facing Nathan again. "....No. Please tell me why you want to examinate it and why you should know more about it, when I haven't taken a closer look at mine yet by myself."

The Red Gemstones: Eternity's Moment - Bravely Default

Nathan leads everyone to his room.  On the way there, he thinks about what this development might mean...the gems look like...and if they got them, does that mean they also...?

Once again, the room looks super duper clean.  Like he's not even using the space aside from a slight mess of the bed's sheets and some of the writing utensils present on the desk.

Nathan carefully lays Ralts on the bed, then sits next to him and turns to face everyone.

"...well, everyone find a seat."

"...Shiva, Valder.  Did you both get a red gemstone too?"

Regardless of the answer, he has yet another question for everyone present.

Ventus , deciding that closeness was not warrented in this instance when talking to Nathan, decided to sit on the floor when prompted, crossing his legs and frowned thoughtfully as he detected the shift in the boy's mood from confused to cautious/inspecting and heard his requests. With the boy acting somewhat furitively/secretly on top of not answering their earlier question about Ralts, the researcher has the growing gut feeling these two separate events might somehow be connected. Hmm.......

Lucifer himself was  them a owlish look at his behavior, until they mention of the possibility of their being even MORE beautiful, precious gems on everyone else's peroson in the room. This caused his eyes to widen as he let out a quiet yet highly intrigued croon, and he very nearly sorely tempted him to launch himself from his brother's shoulder and Frisk them all for the pretty red babbles, but in the end he settled down as he repressed the desire. He still remember tbjer warning about unwanted personal intrusions, and the last thing he want was to get on their bad side after such a wonderful day with his big brother! That, and he didn't want to risk Ralts using its fae powers on it later on in revenge or messing with Fairy Lady, no way no how!

After thinking it over for a second, the empath gave a quick nod of his head to the boy, and held out the gem for the young scholar to take. "Very well, Nathan. If you have any form of Insight as to what these gem halves are, and why they found their way into our possession, I think we all would be pleased to hear it, among the other Donphan in the room so to speak *Gives Ralts a not so discrete glance to indicate what said pachyderm was*"

When Shiva sat down right beside him, he wrapped one arm around them as a gesture of support and comfort, as he picked up on her subtle fear/distress over this improtu meeting over the gems, and feverantly wished to assunge those deleterious feelings the best he could! Her reveal that she too had a gem half and her retisense in handing it over to the boy was meet with a slightly surprised look from him to her, before he smothered the reaction. If Heart and himself had gem halves for some odd reason, then it wasn't that much of a stretch for his dearest to have one too, and he was beginning to suspect that Valder and/or Nathan might have one too. He could also greatly sympathized and understand why she would refuse to just hand over hers, given how tenderly he's treated both their sensibilities, sense of security/happiness, and opinions, so he choose not to comment on it. As the researcher pondered it, he was now hoping the boy would explain himself first, rather than ask for everyone to capitulate to him first again (Albiet this time politely). This was quickly growing to be more and more strange, the more they investigated these mysterious treasures....

Just from having it out, Nathan (and whoever else) can see that Shiva's gem is different from Heart's gem.

Shiva's gaze fixated on Nathan now seemed to silently say 'If you don't hand it back to me afterwards, I'll have Cottonee spray highly-toxic fairydust all over you before I'd let Spectral and Yena bite you where it hurts the most and asking them to not let go of you until you DO hand it back to me, alright?~', before she still somewhat relucantly drew it from the place where she kept her Trainer's Pass and Breeder's Lisence, placed it in front of her and slid it over with her hand, revealing it eventually when she withdrew her hand.

Silently comparing the other gemstones with her own, she's 1. positively suprised and interested that Ventus and Heart have one too, and 2. her's was different from the other's! Why, she couldn't know, but this fascinated her even more and now she wants to have it back and keep it safe at her person even more. (+1 personal value for this gemstone)

Heart's is identical to Ventus': two halves of an oval gem.

Valder expressed reluctance with his gem, but you can reasonably assume it is a match to Shiva's hexagonal half-gem - I don't think you know positively that he has one, since he only thought about his internally.

Touching those gems, Nathan definitely can feel a little of the same feeling that looking at Calam gives him, especially when he first met Calam.

Valder reluctantly pulls out his thought-to-be treassure. He looks away as he gives it away to Nate. It's half of a hexagon, red in colour.

Shiva does take a dear look at the mercenary as if silently saying 'Oh you!~ You understand me, I'd rather keep it by my person too', before she does take a respectful look only with the eyes at the gemstone Valder revealed... Before she barely noticably perks up in positive suprise upon noticing something, Meowtic gave out a melodic 'meow!' as Shiva did so.

She carefully nudges Valder to catch his attention. "Hey... Eh, first of all, congrats for your frog now being a cool Frogadier, Valder. And...take a look at it.... Your's seems identical with mine. What do you think this means, are we somewhat connected or does fate have something planned for us two that we cannot know of yet?"

Nathan goes over to the desk, spreads the gems out (making sure to keep track of whose is whose), reaches into his bag...

...but he doesn't pull out a gem of his own to compare to the others (maybe that's a surprise, maybe not).  He pulls out his journal, flips through it to his notes on Cynthia (which again, look FAR messier than the rest of his journal, with loose papers hanging out ever so slightly from a pocket on one of the dividers), pulls out one of the printouts of Cynthia's research and reads through it...

...those looking carefully enough might notice not only the drawings of Cynthia, but also that this particular paper that Nathan's flipping through has some illustrations as well.  Specifically, of three pokemon arranged in a triangle around a central point...

...the drawing is a bit rough, but cave drawings typically are, and this is a printout of some of Cynthia's own drawing and research.  It's a picture similar to the image on the wall at the back of Celestic Town's shrine, and some of Cynthia's associated research on them.

Nathan's looking carefully at those 3 pokemon, thinking back to what he's seen of Mesprit, thinking about that feeling of...purpose from when he looks at Calam...are the gems the same red color as the ones that adorn the Lake Trio? (coincidentally, it's also the same shade of red as Calam's eyes)
