[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

Empathy: 4 Insight +1 Empathy
(5)(5)(4)(2)(3)
Will: (2)(3)(1)(2)
Will: (6)(2)(4)(6)(1)

The leader takes the Ninetales scarf and wraps it around himself. The two Furret go bounding along the main tunnel, until they are ahead of the party and all the trainers are more or less together. Then the two Furret look back at Shiva, see that she's following them still, and split up.

The black mask Furret squirms into a tunnel that's barely big enough for Shiva to follow. You can see its eyes glowing for a moment, looking back at Shiva, then it squirms over its own long body and disappears.

The bigger Furret scampers along the longer tunnel, where you can hear low growling and the crash of stone. He, too, checks to see if Shiva is following.

(Oh, so the 3 packages of Gourmet Food did not grant the desired +1 dice on the Roll because they didn't eat it but took it? K...)

The leader accepted her scarf, so that's a positive sign and gave her the feeling that at least some of her words have reached him. A glimmer of hooope!

True, she's still following these Furret and has barely time to greet the others of the group upon rejoining, and now that the blackmasked one has escaped, her full attention was on the leading one. She stopped on the path as soon as that...growling reached her though, it was so low that it can't come from the Furret itself, can it? Was...there a predator Pokemon around? Did it sound like a human? Concentrating, she tried to locate the approximate direction from this growling, as well determine whether it was the sound one would match to any bigger cave-dwelling Pokemon.Did it caused the crashing of stone, what ever it was, or was the ceiling and the walls...? "Furret, dear one, are you trying to warn me of things? There's something around, I can almost...feel it...But what? Can the threat, according to your experience within this mountain, still be avoided? If you want me to take on that threat for you though - then by all means, I WLL."

Furret nods firmly! Looks like there's a bigger predator around that they want to be handled for them!

That growling does NOT sound human. It's coming from the main tunnel of Route 05, so it sounds like you'll have to see what it is if your party is to move on.

The Delta Onyx breaking free of its frigid prison and Raging against their fleshy snake counter part was a unexpected (and unwelcome) surprise, but that was about all the windfall they received. Apsis, already steaming mad over her master very nearly being completely waylayed by that diabolical Chandelure, became livid when SHE fell prey to a similar (if exponently less severe) fate via the Oddnix's Chatter. Once cured of her Confusion, the regal reptile proceeded to give the rocky reptile the mother of all maulings, snapping at them with such relentless ferocity that they were floor 'n Fainted in scant moments. Truly, a woman's unbridled WRATH is something awe and fear inspiring, and she channeled/empowered herself on it to utterly terrify and dominate her target. Those that attract her ire beware!

Once she had thoroughly worked over Delta Onix like gritty taffy, she gave it one last withering Glare to soften them up even more for her master to capture, before slithering back over to his side, a sastifeid smile on her face and feeling much better. While her fury would only be entirely extinguished once her master's tormentor is KILLED, she had vented enough that she could bank those smoldering feelings for now and not terrorize any poor fool that interacted with her/Ventus. Not that this would comfort her prior victim Shiva, but thems the breaks.

Ventus, on the other hand, let out a small sigh of relief as the Delta species was successfully capture, some of the tension and stress draining out of him as he walked over and plucked the Steel Ball off the ground. Besides that nightmarish fiend that could barely be called a Pokémon that Nathan owned (which sent disguisted and frightened shivers down his back as he thought of them) and the Delta Porygon of Dagney's, this was the first true Delta species he's personally encountered, and it was now his . His to research, to explore what makes it unique compared to the rest of its species, and perhaps even propogate in order to further expand the sub species and/or sell for a profit.....

"Yes, its mine," the researcher whispered, staring at the Steel Ball with only a ghost of a smile, but it was there. He still felt like Kyurem itself had frosted over his soul, the restoration of his formerly formidable/stable mental acuity was slow, and deep down was still murderously angry at the Chandelure, but he was on the road to recovery, and his venting/capture of this Delta Onix did wonders for him.

"Still......" Ven said absentmindly, twirling the ball around with a less stoic but still analytical expression, "I already have Ao Guang and Lilith that need my full care, attention, and discipline if I hope to form a full fledge bond with them, and adding a another bulky snake team when I already you with me, my wonderful and beautiful sister -" Apsis preened at the praise, and lowered her head to nuzzle him fondly, to which he let out airy but warm chuckle as he used his free hand to scratch the underside of her jaw. "-would be unwise at this current time. I don't wish to relinquish it for sale, though, as while it would be worth its weight in wealth for its uniqueness, its for those very same reasons its such a valuable Pokémon to research. I could give it to Dr. Mallorn or Dagny and arranged deals with them for them to breed and research it on my behalf, but that is a long term plan that may or may not turn out to be profitable. So, I can't afford to look after it myself, nor render or lease it to others, so it will have to remain in my PC for quite some time........" he continued, as small frown tugging on his face at the delimea he was presented with......until a look of surprise flashed across his face as he experienced a burst of Insight, until it faded away to be replaced with faint smile.

"......Unless somebody in the group could look after it for me instead, and help me with my research of it. Somebody whoses fascination with Delta Pokémon matches his own, nay, exceeds his own, and has experience and talent with caring for and taming Disobedient Pokémon. Somebody.....like Heart. Perhaps he could trade me one of his more unruly Pokemon in exchange, so that he'd be able to dedicate more time to Delta Onix and the rest of his Pokémon. Yes, that would the best and fairest way..."

With that said to himself, the sociologist stowed away the Steel Ball......somewhere, still smiling as he patted the scaled body of his poisonous python, getting her attention as he motioned for her to follow him as he started down the path once more, feeling emboldened and a tad bit happy . "Come, Apsis. We need to keep up with the rest of the group, and arrange a deal with Heart about concerning our latest capture." The snake sis gave a delighted nod and *Hiss!* in agreement, happy to see her master's gradual/incremental recovery, before she and him set about to find catch up and find Heart!

Order: Meet up with Heart so as to get started on that Trade! For this to work smoothly, have them suggest they purchase a Steel Coat for Scyther when they offer Delta Onix in exchange for one of his lesser used Pokémon! Let's get this down, @Spiritmon! Oh, and the Berry its holding is going straight in Ven's inventory to replace the one he used! That too!

That firm nod from the Furret only caused Shiva's.....what was it actually? It was something she felt way too rarely, something that must linger deep within her almost covered by a blanket of insecurity and a coward will to flee, awaking only during every New Moon it seemed to give a little chirp to say that it's still alive before it went back to a dormant state.

...It was determination. Yes, that must be it. An eager to prove herself against that predator that messed with all the Furrets, making their home here in Mount Sentry less carefree and enjoyable...

It felt a little like Blaze from her magical fox, like the fire has been ignited within herself now.

With that said, she gave the Furret a small nod by herself to show it that she accepted the challenge and began her way further down the main tunnel as the group eventually moved on, walking a bit ahead of the others and occassionally throwing a glance over to the Furret that will hopefully tag along. This means that she won't hear Ventus and Heart speaking about the caught and trade of a Delta Onix for now.

On his way of seeking out Heart and putting forth his proposal for trading Delta Onix to them, he spotted what looked to be a Klink loitering around on of the cave walls! Ventus paused in his tracks as he stared at the cogwheel , the gears in his own mind turning as he thought about what to do about it, before he nodded his head and decided to engage it, patting Apsis on her sides in temporary farewell as he recalled her and summoned Ao Guang in their place! While the empath had calmed down and leveled out somewhat after capturing the Oddnix, battling and capturing more Pokémon could only improve his mood! Upon being released, the Sea Lord looked upon the metallic lifeform in front of him with even more dispassion and annoyance than Chandelure , as if their was thing he loathed besides Fairy types, it was Steel ones.

Feeling this change in his mode, Ventus seized upon it by calmly and deferentially saying to him: "My liege , our battle with that.....spector may have been a too stuffy affair for you, so how about you vent your righteous anger and power on this humble Klink? Do as you wish with it, up to and including eradicating them if that is your desire."

Order: Send out Ao Guang and have him do whatever they want to Klink, be it Fight, goof off, or outright kill it. If he starts to blow Bubbles or use moves on Ventus, my character will tank it with his massive Vitality instead of recalling them to show that he's far tougher than he looks, redirect their attention onto the Klink, and heal himself with a Potion if he falls bellow 6 HP. If Fainted and Ao Guang doesn't make a move to kill it, recall them, summon Apsis to Paralyze the cogwheel with Glare and Freeze them with a Held Back Ice Fang (Steel Resists Ice, so no damage!), before capturing it with a Pokeball. Time to brutalize the local wildlife, mwhahahaha!

Well, from one interesting find to the next!  First a furret almost drops a chunk of gravestone on Nathan's head, then he finds a a rare, typically difficult to teach TM in a particularly hard to reach spot, and now...

...well, how would Nathan encounter this egg holding Furret in the first place?  What do you think, @Iron?
